I doubt you see any effect at all after just a week... the plants will just adapt

I mean... at this point i haven’t spent a dime on any of the seeds in my tent.I would Love to see you do it. Maybe not this grow. Do another grow with some free seeds and try it with them then if it doesn't turn out well you haven't lost much
Maybe I’ll do a week, and if I see no negative results (or if I see positive results) then I’ll keep it going a second week.I doubt you see any effect at all after just a week... the plants will just adapt
Well... the NL was free, the Star Pupil is a reveg that I’ve got 4 more seeds of, and a mother plant of, each of the Cookies n Chem plants I have a cut of, and I’ve got like 5 more reg seed... so I’m not in danger of losing any genetics that I’ve paid for. All these girls have paid for themselves twice over already. That would be my plan as well, use cheap seeds first.
Sure you can... I don't muck with the light cycle. Once I hit 12/12 that's it 'til harvest.May I ask what you plan to do?
I’m curious to see what @Old Salt thinks.
The main advantage is that matched with co2 and optimal nutrition, the plants metabolism will increase dramatically.
Well, right now my environment is sitting at 76F, 48rH, and my CO2 bag that is supposed to be good for a 4x4 for 9 months is completely molded and now definitely in full CO2 production... so I’ve checked every box on that listIt sounds like the environment has to be perfect, with CO2 injection before trying this. I talked with the local hydro guy, who mentioned a 30% increase in yield with CO2 injection, provided temperature, humidity, and light intensity were on point. I wonder if the change in light schedule is on top of this; IE yield = 1.3 (CO2) x 1.4 (lights) x normal yield = 1.82 normal yield.
I know how you feel... but I’ve gotta test this... if it works, I’ll definitely be using it more in the future.hey chef ill watch you do it and see how it comes out personally im not messing with them while there in flower that's just my 2 cents good luck bud!
I’m not sure.. I don’t have a CO2 meter...What is your CO2 concentration?
it will be interesting to watch and see the outcome im not against trying new things im very skeptical though but this last grow I was running them 17/7 and I did a 10 min per day of light dep until I got down to 11/13 my goal was a quicker flowering and I need to experiment further but none of the sativas hardly stretched at all so I need to try it again and see if theres any truth to it also the transition from veg to flower went very smooth I think the lack of stretch made them more comfortable!I know how you feel... but I’ve gotta test this... if it works, I’ll definitely be using it more in the future.
But isn't the stretch a desired part of the flowering process? You increase the plant size thus creating more sites on the plant for flowers to grow. If you want to speed up the flowering time add finely ground malted barley to your medium. It can reduce flowering by as much as 20% in some cases. I notice the difference using it.my goal was a quicker flowering and I need to experiment further but none of the sativas hardly stretched at all
hey beez in my set up I can only have about 3 ft. of plant and ive heard so much about how sativas stretch like crazy so I wanted to keep them tame I vegged them 70 days and super cropped and some lst thinking they were going to go crazy but they didn't I would say about a 30% stretch about like some indicas so my point to all this is maybe I found a way to get some age on the plant and still be able to control it I will say that next time im going to run them at 12/12 for a couple weeks then ill switch to 11/13 btw I already use ground malted barley been using it for a while now im a firm believer! But isn't the stretch a desired part of the flowering process?
