Exactly Don! I cannot think of any downside to GLR. It is also nice to have the stealthness of not having the light on all the time. I use the GLR from seed sprout on.

Hey there BC Buddy! I am not sure if it would work with cloning. I have never cloned without going 24/24 before. Don't know why it wouldn't work but it would be nice to hear from someone that has tried before.

it does seem that the glr helps keep the nodes tighter too at least I think it might.

Our Unit was called MACS 4. I believe it stands for Marine Air Command Squadron. We were located at the top of this steep hill. First building was the administrative offices or as we used to call…The Pink Pallace! Actually that is what Aministration is called at all Marine Camps. Second was the motor pool then was the supply building and last on the top of the hill was us.

We supplied electricity to the radar when the Marines went out in the field. This was back when Carter was president. We did not have anything close to the quality equipment the Marines have today. The generators we repaired were all well over 10 years old and every single one was ridden hard and put away wet. All of them were from Viet Nam. It was an easy job though, but not for me. I quickly became bored with repairing generators. I realized that I was probably the worst generator repairman in the whole military.

One of the Marines in the Admin office had a hanging noose over his desk. He had it there for a few months and no one thought it was out of the ordinary. I thought it to be very odd. I asked him about why he kept a hang mans noose over his desk and he told me he thought it looked cool. This Marine was not right and I could tell it. Real nasty person.

Soon after that a good friend of mine was doing his turn for guard duty. When he went through the admin offices he noticed this Corporal hanging over his desk. Dead as a door nail. He was scared shitless. When he told me about it the next day he looked just like Buckwheat with his huge white eyes and his black face. I don’t blame him for being scared either. Stuff like that creeps me out. I do not think anyone was allowed to have a hang man noose over their desk after that!

Apparently his wife sent him a Dear John Letter.

aint know woman worth all that LOL makes you wonder what happens in someones head that makes em do crap like that.
On another note, when I was on the carnival we had this big ass 5k generator to supply the show. we used to pull big 4'baloney cable to all the rides by hand. man that sh%t was heavy:)

On the lighter side. Our first in charge was a Gunnery Sgt. He was a really laid back guy from theMidwest. All of us really liked him. The second in charge was a power hungry Sgt. He was a real pain in the ass. I think he was the only Marine in the base that even bloused his trousers. Real over the top gung ho.

One day we all decided to play a trick on him. We tied all his paper clips together. Took black electrician tape and taped his phone at the receiver(this wasback when every phone was the same). We reversed the springs on all his desk drawers. And we also put filled cloth padded chair seat with water.

We were all working on the generators and waited for his return from the Pink Palace. When he returned we all gathered around the office area.
I laugh to this day when I re think what happened.

First…..He sat down in the chair and immediately felt the cold water! He yelled at the top of his lungs that hewas going to find out who did it and was going to write him up on charges. Next he tried to open up one of his desk drawers and it slammed back into the desk and one of his pictures fell to the floor. His face was beat red. One of my buddies at that time rang his phone from the next room….when he went to pick it up he kept saying….Hello.. Hello…and the phone was still ringing!! LoL!! He said….Thats not funny!! This could be a General calling me! He was going crazy trying to get the tape off to answer the phone on time. We were all busting up laughing till our eyes watered. My gut hurt so bad I was laughing so hard. The Gunny came in the room andsaid….What the F**k is going on here?! The angry Sgt. Said we were committing a mutiny and we should all be brought up on charges. The Gunny couldn’thold it any longer either and he about fell on the floor laughing his ass off. The Sgt never laughed but he definitelywas much less gung ho and easier to work with from then on.

One week later he killed himself!! Just Kidding!! LoL!!

Ha! I feel the same way. Just a real selfish thing to do. Just silly! He should have been hanging out with us. Smoking rat weed and drinking beer and playing pool. I sure like to let people know they can lean on me when they feel down. When I see someone I know is acting a little self absorbed and down I like to let them know that I am there for them. I know I have leaned on a lot of people my life and they have sure helped me. No one has tipped over yet either!

Oh Yeah! My job was really hard in the field for about one day. Then it was easy. All we had to do after setting up the camp was make sure the generators never ran out of fuel or broke down. Not so bad at all.

Man, thanks for the stories....memories come flooding back. Have seen the suicides too. A total waste of a life. A couple of places in Nam, we started the generators and ran like hell.....they were very noisy. Good targets!

Everyone should do their bit for their country. In Greece everyone went into some branch of their services. If they were disabled in some way, they found a job they could do. Made sense to me.:bravo:

Ok. When I have down time I like to think of ways to make things better. I want to share with you how I roll a joint. To me it is the perfect joint. Took me 30 years of joint smoking and pondering to come up with the perfect joint. However, I did and I am going to share it with you!!!

Tools and Suppies needed...

1. Pencil or pen
2. Rolling paper
3. Small .25 by 1 inch piece of business cardboard or manilla folder
3. Hand roller machine or dollar bill
4. Ground Canabis!

Take the piece of hard paper and roll it around the pen.

After you roll it around the pen. Manipulate the carboard so it can expand or contract while rolling.

Then place in the rolling machine with the roll flap facing towards you so it does not unravel while rolling.
