Re: CF's Northern Lights Blue Auto and OG Kush, Superbud, NL Blue, Chemdawg Soil Grow

I had a brain fart today and am going to buy another ballast for my grow room. Right now I have a 1000w running in the room. I am thinking about going to two 600w to get more coverage and grow more plants. It really shouldn't make my temps much higher than they are now and all I need is the ballast. I already have an extra reflector. I was thinking about getting the 400/600/1000 w ballast from lumiteck. So yes! I have room!!

The cripple shall live!!:cheesygrinsmiley:

I'm planning the exact same thing for my next grow brother!!!
2 -600's, more coverage, more BUD!!!

I have alwaysheard the 600w is the most efficient light wattage for the HPS lights. I know the buds that I had with the 600w were about as hard and big as what I am getting with the 1000w.

I am already fighting the urge to go with 2 1000's. I am a light addict!

Hey CF, mind if I pull up a chair? You've got some interesting strains going.

Great to have you peek in my Friend!! I am especially looking forward to the Chemdawg. I hear it is some real strong smoke!

Re: CF's Northern Lights Blue Auto and OG Kush, Superbud, NL Blue, Chemdawg Soil Grow

I have an issue with my Rock Lock veg girl. I just noticed a few leaves that had a bunch of holes chewed through them. Thank God I have no problems with the Flower Girls. Only the Rock Lock was affected. I took out my SNS 203 and sprayed all the plants in the veg room. I hope I don't see any new damage. I am going to post pictures later.

Got a bag of that going right now. Or, at least my wife does. It's her personal favorite for migraines. It's a very strong head high that can come over you in waves if you do too much. I can't smoke it near bed or I'll be up all night.

CF, are you just using the SNS 203 as a foliar spray, or are you drenching the soil at all?

Re: CF's Northern Lights Blue Auto and OG Kush, Superbud, NL Blue, Chemdawg Soil Grow

600 HPS are the most efficient in terms of lumen/watt. If your plants are tall (over 30") and not lollipopped, you will want to use the 1000 for better penetration. Also has an effect on your footprint. I use 4x4 for 1000 and 3x3 for 600, both are about 65 watts/sq foot. Don't skimp out.

I just used as a folar spray because I recently watered and the soil is too damp. I might drench the soil next watering. It is only affecting one of the 5 veg plants. I cannot see any damage to the other plants. But I sprayed them anyway. To me this is strange because every other time I have had a problem that has affected one plant I have the same on the others.

Thanks OG13! That makes a lot of sense. With the Dial a watt I could use the 600's and switch when the plants are in the last part of flower before harvest. I used a 600 in my 3x3 tent even though the manufacturer recomended a 400w. I grew some big buds out of that small space.

Re: CF's Northern Lights Blue Auto & OG Kush - SuperBud - NL Blue - ChemDawg Soil Gro

Plant Update!!

The Flower girls are getting plumper by the day. The Chemdawg and the OG are the tallest. The NL Blue has gotten a lot stronger since I put it in its cage. The Super Bud is the shortest but it has tight nodes and a lot of bud sites.

Super Bud..

OG Kush..

NL Blue..

Chemdawg..

The Veg Girls are getting much bigger. They stretched too far for my small closet space so I dusted off my old 3x3 grow tent and moved them. The OG is now much stronger that a week ago. I am glad I didn't loose my patience and toss it out. The Rock Lock has some insect damage. It is the only plant that shows damage. I sprayed the plants with SNS 203. I hope that solved the problem. I am going to spay again in a few days.
