One of the reasons harvest takes awhile in my house. Krista wants to trim even the smallest bud like this, and I can’t resist trimming terminal buds the same

Well @13goody13 may be “stocking up for the apocalypse” but after that trip to the hardware store, I may be the one that starts it. Big companies using C19 to jack prices up and gouge people when they can least afford makes my blood boil.

24” door has over doubled in price from 6 months ago, and another fella was pricing 12’ - 2x4....
with tax, just shy of 30 F’n dollars.

My camp 1/2 mile in the woods, as old as it is, is beginning to call my name and the more I see of Big Business, and have to deal with complete idiots every time I go to town, is making me wonder what I was thinking when I came out of the woods 8 years ago

Hey man be glad you don’t live in or around a densely populated city. It’s much worse, especially here in the states where almost everyone’s knickers are in a major twist!

Those harvest numbers are holy wtf material! Wow!!! Well done Celt!:high-five:

Thanks Roosti :) nearly done the 3rd plant and will post some pics of the trimmed bud from it, nicest bud so far and these are the smallest 3 girls :)
You mean you still have the bigger ones to trim yet?

Living on an island makes everything late and more expensive.

That I do ;) these are the 5 gallon girls I have been working on, like this one:

in the upper right of this pic you can see the 2 up by the garage, these girls, 1st one is 6’ tall and double tops:

and to this ones left

Those steel pipe are over 9’ above ground.

Then we have this one who is the twin to the double top girl (2 plants, one seed) and also about 6 foot tall and 5’ round:

We also have the 4 garden girls who were trained but of a size with the twins:

So ya, I am barely started into harvest, I will finish up the 3rd 5 gallon girl today. These 3 are likely to be less than 10% of the total  I have a 30+ day sentence to Trim Jail

I am in full out trim mode for the foreseeable future, been a bit (very little) bud rot but I want to make sure I keep on top of it. As such, won’t see much of me for the next week or two but I will pop in with some pics here and there. I’ll do a proper update when I get caught up with harvest :)

My best mate and his wife came here straight from work and stayed the night Friday night and we had a trim party, 4 of us trimming till midnight and then Wall and I trimming the next morning until they left round noon.

Some bud porn to hold you fiends over ;)

Hey @The Celt glad your helpers made it, sounds like a good time! Since you are tied to your plants, if you do any bud washing would you take some pics? I know it's on here, but I have been down the leaf fade highway and would love to see what comes next for me through where you're at. :battingeyelashes: i also know that's a huge ask, so I have google too.
Couldn't resist shamelessly putting you on the spot. Thanks so much!

Morning Konk, I have done bud washing in the past, but with the harvest this year being what is turning out to be a bumper crop, and 9 of the eleven plants being Blue Dream with not more than 2 weeks between harvest windows of the different phenos, no time to wash this year.

If you want some info on Bud Washing, check out my first grow 5/6 years ago Here, I went by Robert Celt at that time.

^ bookmarked that is terrific, thank you! I hope your experience makes that workload manageable, better to be chained to 11 sucessful plants than watch the weather chip away at your efforts! :thanks:

Edit: it's even the bud washing page! :yahoo:

Wow Celt, good thing you had friends drop by for a trim party or we may never have seen you again. Some fantastic looking trees coming down.
Great tutorial on the bud wash as well. :thanks:

Hey thanks for linking your budwash method and rationale. Most interesting!
You present a compelling argument on the potency side of things as well as any other benefits.
I wonder - did you pass your wash water through a bubble bag in the end to look for trichomes?

Hey @DonkeyDick ,

I remember thinking bout that at the time and after completing the washes, although I didn’t have bubble bags, I did decant the water slowly to see what might be sitting in the bottom of the buckets. Wasn’t anything noticeable for trichomes, but there was a ”pebblely” residue much like gets on the casserole dishes I trim over.

Best guess is it was/is THCA as it seems to crystallize in the dish. I can scrape it with a razor blade and get a white powder that is a interesting smoke. Has a hash like taste and is like hash in its effects but more speedy.
