CBD Joy: A Community Garden Experience

Hey everyone! I actually had to take down a CBD strain, Blueberry x Harlequin bx, tonight due to hermie. I still have Alphakronik's Tesla (high CBD/low THC) and another plant that I was gifted as a tester, it's A-tonic x Herijuana x Rebel OG. Was told it was a CBD strain, so we will see what comes of it, might have to get them both tested.

Sue I am excited for your Jamaican harvest, are you going to have it tested?

picture time.
Here is what a cat who takes a cannabis infused coconut oil once a day looks like. ; - )
Happily watching me take sample buds....

I don't have access to testing Brix. I'm using Neiko's tests as a guide. We grew the same seeds in the same soil system and under good Timber lights, so I'm trusting that what I got was close to what he got.

Did you save the nanners for future adventures in breeding?

I assume this Jamaican is different than the Durban Poison you got from Jamaica and shared with me?

Yes it is AKGramma. This was a bag seed grow, or more precisely, a street Cola seed. :laughtwo: One of the crew purchased the cola from a taxi driver and then we sat around the pool at the apartment Brix and his lovely companion shared and picked seeds out. Ahhh.....sweet memories. :dreamy:

I smoked her sugar leaves last night. They were so sweetly aromatic I couldn't resist. Tasted of mango, and with a bong, no less. Typically I can't taste the terps with a bong. The flame is too hot. Not so with these leaves. Makes me excited to get some buds dry. :slide:

I am going to get my CBD strains tested once they come down. I am sure if you wanted testing we could find a way.

Speaking of Timber lights, these COBs have my yield going through the roof! Just pulled 5.4 ounces in the kit out of a 7 gallon pot.

I don't have any interest in breeding at this time. I have been focused on getting better with the kit and increasing yield. I am getting better with the kit and now am at a point where I actually have some spare stock, so I can start playing around with different things. Right now I am just going to stay the course, keep growing from seeds and finding my keeper strains.

CBD Yummy update: The ladies are growing like...weeds! LOL!

Caramel Cream update. One seed I though was dying popped two real leaves between the dying cotyledons, and I am waiting for one more seed to show herself. So, if luck is with me, I'll have two CBD strains to clone or cross with a male with similar ancestry.

I looked up the family trees for them and there was a decent amount of familiar grandparents I might have photo seeds for.

:goodluck:

Keep any seeds you might find in your hermies. You just might need to fall back on them if cloning fails.

Hey gang :) Been following along, and Id like to update my CBD seed project.

The furthest along is my fully seeded Harley..took her out and shook the male over her 3 weeks in a row, so she is just bursting with seeds...no real hope of anything smokable off this plant, but I am hoping for a few hundred seeds of straight up Harlequin. Considering what they sell for, Im more than a bit happy. :)

Using the same Harlequin male I have also begun treating my bushiest Nordle.

She is a leafy beast, but Im really looking forward to the cross.

Impressive mouser. :high-five:

Hey.....didn't we all come from a past that had us sorting seeds out of the shake? :laughtwo: It's still usable. It'll just take more effort to get it ready to go.

It's been too long since I updated myself. I'll get to it later today. I've had a stellar harvest since my last post and more in the way. :woohoo:

By the way.....

Merry Christmas/Happy New Years to you all!!

Been a bit busy through the holidays, but Im going to have to say the Harlequin seed project was a success!

These are just the hand picked ones...got about 1k that didt make the grade...but will be tossed liberally about this Spring :)

:) Why thank you. I actually spent the night in and was sound asleep by 8ish. I guess I really needed the long weekend to just recharge and NOT think about work or obligation. :/

The seeds are regs btw. I thought that was best to allow for the full range of possibilities... Finding one on the higher CBD side of things isnt hard, but finding that balance might take a few trys. The boys show early so its not hard to pull them before they have their way with the garden.

My niece loves this strain and swears it helps with her epilepsy a lot...flavor is very earthy

All in all its very relaxig ad does wonders for muscle pain.

My CBD Critical Cure 2.7 is in her fourth week of flowering. She's got a brand new Mar-Hydro 2x2 tent and the GROWant GR240 panel that I won in the NOTM contest, and it looks like she appreciates the consideration. :cheesygrinsmiley:

She has a clone growing roots next to the veg shelf.

In soil I have a new genetic line of the CBD Critical Cure, CC 3, at day 32.

This year I plan to grow some Different CBD varieties. I got some Harlequin seeds recently and already had some Candida. It looks to be an interesting year.

I thought I'd stop and show off my CBD Critical Cures. 21 days since my last update.....my, how things change. :cheesygrinsmiley: This has become one of my favorite chemovars to grow - easy to cultivate, decent yields, hearty, drought-resistant in soil, marvelous in hempy. One of my most consistent producers, and the family base meds.

CBD Critical Cure 2.7 (Day 107, flip + 47) is in her last week of nutes, so another two or three to go before harvest. She had to be tied down and her base weighted to keep her from tipping as she bulks up. :laughtwo: I missed that placement and wasn't thinking ahead when I trained her. Oops!

She's gorgeous, but then I'm preferential. :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

IMG_82605.JPG

She's in the small pot to see how much I can get out of this size in hempy. So far I'm really impressed. She looks to rival her mother, who was in twice the perlite, if not much more.

Oozing frostiness. :slide:

She started flowering under the GROWant GR240, and moved to this space on Sunday, under 200 watt Timber Citizen COBS and four 40 watt CFLs. I can get the 40 watt CFLs right up against the leaves and buds without burning them......much. Lol! I'm doing pretty good with this one. Her structure adapted well to this type of lighting. Hanging there they don't interfere much, if at all, with the light from the COBs hanging above them. She's got a combination of 360 watts to get her through her last month of flowering.

IMG_82697.JPG

Her clone, CBD CC 2.8 (Day 14) got chopped back to the first node at Day 5. This is all new growth since then.

IMG_82704.JPG

I like what I'm seeing. I may upcan her into the next step up and try a new structure. She's a backup plant, with more freedom to experiment.

IMG_82729.JPG

Because it looked like she might not make it in the beginning I started another seed.

CBD Critical Cure 3 (Day 53) She's a Doc Bud HB girl in soil. She's the reason I can afford to play with the clone. It's about time to get her into a bigger pot.

I'm doing my best to mimic Stage with this girl. :cheesygrinsmiley:

All of her leaders got topped five days ago. Here comes the new growth. :slide:

That's it for me today. Who's next? :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Who's next? :battingeyelashes: :green_heart:

Me please! I don't think I've updated on my first CBD CC since it was a seedling :smokin2: I drop in here periodically and have been enjoying all the updates (beautiful looking seeds Mouser), all the while forgetting I have one myself to contribute!

...my, how things change. :cheesygrinsmiley:
They really do don't they? I have been in awe of the way she has grown and expanded over the last month, so i'll include pics over that period up to yesterday to show her off. While she was still small I did a lot of leaning her back through the days and also a lot of leaf tucking daily. A couple of weeks ago i left her gently leant back and stopped leaf tucking (although I do move one if I spot it covering a budsite from the sun).

Ok so here - on NYE. CBD CC is the one on the right.

And on Jan 12 things were accelerating...

and then 10 days on, Jan 26

So over this time I've fed with a seaweed foliar (home made from local seaweed), some tea (worm juice, or seaweed, or nettle) and about 5 days ago I topped dressed the soil with a mix that included some more minerals (a calcium blend), small amounts of kelp and neem meal, pinch of epsoms and a pinch of borax all blended into about half a bucket full of good stuff from the bottom of our green compost pile (including a worm or 3).
These pics I took yesterday - in the middle of the day. They're with my phone so not the sharpest. The noon day sun was at full charge!

(Again, she's on the right...)

From the top... I'm going to need a ladder to get a topview with all her tops in it!

I'm very happy with this CBDCC, it's going to make lovely oil to help my ECS and I'm stoked with how healthy she is looking. I may vape her a bit too - I'm looking forward to experimenting with that :slide:

Happy growing fellow CBD joysters

:circle-of-love:

Hi Amy,

Nice plants!

All we have here in the great white north (Canada) is this snow stuff. I would post a pic, but since they changed the site I don't know how anymore. Must be top secret.

Peace. :peace:
