Carnival: A Community Grow Experience

I'm with Dave here. I'm usually at no new pistils, full cloudy / no amber around 56-58 days. That's when I harvest.

Mine tend to come down closer to 70 days.

That is one of the most beautiful specimens we've had photographed. :high-five: very well done SOG. :bravo:

I haven't left a picture of my princess in a bit, have I? Let's make that right. :battingeyelashes:

I'm typing this in the dark, since the lights over my veg shelf just went out, so I'm guessing at her age, but it's close to 70 days, give or take a few. I've doubled the wattage over her. She now sits under a GROWant GR480, the equivalent of 480 watts from a mere 160 watts from the wall. Whew! I think she's happy with the upgrade.,

She's at the point now where I'll be letting her go verticle. I'm figuring another 2-3 weeks until flip. Maybe 4 weeks. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Wow,SOG,

She looks like you must be a plant wizard, or plant whisperer. She looks lovely, and Massive! Great Job!! Reps to you for such a nice lookling lady.

Thanks Bode this is the first time I've grown in coco with my DIY cob lights. I am amazed at the success I am having. You can see more pictures of my grow by clicking on the link below

Thank you for the kind words Sweet Sue. Your little princess is looking good I need to go back and see how you got her to this stage good job!

I'm training her by inspiration SOG. :laughtwo: She was coming along as two little branches after I chopped her to the first node and one day I had an impulse to pin her down like a flux, but not a flux. I'm looking for a sea of colas. :cheesygrinsmiley: under the new light she's gonna be a beautiful specimen.

I use Doc Bud's kit with my soil girls, but I have coco mixed in at about a third the volume, in hopes of exploding the soil community. Now it's a matter of learning to manage them to increase yields. I think this girl will be my first real success with the new mix. I got distracted with the incredible success I was having with hempy. :laughtwo:

My first thought was you were fluxing her but not a traditional flux. It looks to me you have 7 tops growing at the moment will you do more training to increase the number of tops?
I am sold on hydroponic growing as coco is a form and I've had the best grow of the 8 grows I've done. I tried deep water culture a while back and got slime all over the roots after only a week, I had no chiller that put me off of hydroponics until I tried coco. IMO it is the best medium for me and my OCD style. I did have some success with soil early on but I had trouble with over watering with coco there is no chance of that since it maintains 30% O2 even when saturated. Being able to feed every day makes more nutrients available to the plants for explosive growth. Just sayin for me it's the best medium.

Mine tend to come down closer to 70 days.

When they last until 70 days for me, they get there by "foxtailing" with nice bulky buds. 56 days is when they don't foxtail.

My current girl is headed for 70 days :)

Carnival at 66 days in flower

M.O.C. Carnival, 66 days. She has added at least 1/2 oz of bud in the last 2 days. I usually harvest around 56 days.

She looks like she is drooping, but her trunk had reclined backwards 60 degrees (think Lazy Boy recliner) and her buds had learned upwards into the light. I straightened her trunk with a wooden sword, so she looks droopy but is actually a bit perky.

She has nice buddage for her size - 2+ oz. Trichomes are now partly cloudy.

G'day carnival heads. A question for you that I've been meaning to get around to for a long time.
About a year ago- Christmas before last, I ordered some Carnival seeds. A couple months went by. Mail is slow here in Antarctica but usually not that slow, so I asked Ministry of Cannabis about it and they just skipped all the small talk and went ahead and sent me replacements. Very cool of them. So I got those seeds eventually - haven't planted them yet.
Anyway, in June I received a package from Spain with some seeds in it. Everything was unlabelled. At first I assumed it was some Ace Ethiopian that I'd ordered. But then those arrived later.
It wasn't till many months later that it occurred to me the mystery seeds might be the long lost Carnival shipment. I'd long since tossed the original packaging of the first Carnival batch- but something in my head (could there be a brain cell still alive in there?) thinks that maybe this is the sort of packaging system that Ministry of Cannabis used (uses) (?).
Can you guys confirm this? Thanks.:thumb:

How on earth did you sneak by me? :kisstwo:

I've always ordered mine from seed banks. What else could they be, and lucky you, eh?

Good to see you. :hugs::hugs::hugs: Maybe someone else can answer more helpfully.

Weasels are sneaky Sue
. I don't know. It makes sense in hindsight I guess that they'd be the Carnival seeds, but I've usually got seed orders steadily showing up in the mail, and not the greatest memory. Had a bunch of freebies and contest stuff coming in too. Shipping is slow and nothing arrives in linear fashion- just 'whenever' - so to connect a totally unlabeled batch of seeds with an order I made six months earlier was too much reasoning for me at the time. I guess I could ask MOC but figured this way would be speedier and more fun.

Hahaha! Caught me off guard with that one. Lol! Let's see what comes along. I'll ask Graytail.

I got mine as singles from Herbies so I don't what MOC packaging looks like. :hmmm:

Look for the letter 'C'

Ministry of cannabis website - Shipping said:
We ship all the orders stealth, we mean that we will ship the seeds WITHOUT their original bags, we will use a simple transparent bag with the initials of the strain, then we will insert it into a bubble envelop. If you need to have the original envelops for special purposes, please ask (it may be not possible for your country).

These are the shipping methods, however one or more of them could not be available for your country. In the checkout page only the available methods for your country are shown.

IMPORTANT: There is no reference to cannabis, marijuana or the Ministry of Cannabis in the packages, they are very discreet and inoffensive.

Oh cool- thanks Radogast for going above and beyond - and to where I should have gone :). Reps dude.
No there was no legible writing on the bag but I could see faint traces of something that looked like black felt pen. Probably if I'd known I was only looking for one letter I would have seen things differently.
Pretty sure these must be the Carnival seeds then. Over six months delivery- that's pretty impressively slow. And so stealthy not even the customer can figure out what it is- might make a good slogan for them.

It's a sign Weaselcracker. Plant one. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Day 84, transplanted from 7 to 15 gallons and thoroughly drenched with TransWater, Carn 4.6 is now officially flipped. :blunt:

Harvest Day - Carnival

MoC Carnival, at 77 days under 11/13 light, foxtailing started at 54-56 days

She was all droopy looking, buds were actually touching the floor below the pot.

20180206_114932-1.jpg

When I checked, I found 4 places where her stalks were splitting

20180206_114945-1.jpg

Trichomes were still mostly clear, but the plant herself was falling into pieces, so I harvested :)

20180206_115056-1.jpg

She was really easy to trim, about 5 scissors snips per bud and the first two of those were long petiole fan leaves

Washed and hanging

Two Carnival in veg

No more Carnival in flower right now.

This one was started in perlite hempy, and transplanted to soil a few days ago, because I've been getting severe leaf browning in late veg.

This one was started in soil, transplanted into perlite hempy and starting to show the leaf problem I've been having with my hempy girls .

It may be that my water PH was too low for the osmocote+ fertilizer to release. If she gets better, she will go into flower in a hempy bucket

Very nice!!!:thumb: I have one ready to come down this week sometime, probably Friday or Saturday. Then Sunday, my latest CBD Critical Mass will move to the flower tent. :circle-of-love::peace:

High Radogast,

Very nice looking buds! They did fishtail like crazy. Packing on the goodness. I'm trying to store up info for next summer. Going to try a couple outdoors in nice soil, in the ground. You have done a great job with her. Enjoy!
