They are easy to use but I feel every vape has its own technique to go about getting a good extraction as it does depend on how you drag and how long and airflow established and temps reached. Thanks, Fenderender- I get that, but I don't seem to be able to get high from vaping..maybe a tiny buzz, but it takes a lot of weed for that tiny buzz, like 4 times as much as I'd have to smoke...
I've got 3 dry herb vapes (DaVinci Miqro, Magic Stone, and Auxo Calent) so I'll keep trying..maybe I'm doing it wrong or something...although they're about as easy to use as it gets...
And that behaviour varies with how they're built and function.
Try to hold your drag as well for a 10 count.. that should get you going as well
Try some variations in how you extract by how you drag.
I try to do long slow but steady drags, don't drag too hard and cool the device too quick, try to do slow & steady extraction.
You could also try one of them with a bong as there you can pack a bit more into the chamber (also by filling it with a slow drag and then inhale the contents of the bong)
also less chance of a vape cough since it's cooled a bit.
And experiment with different grinds and packing levels as well as that influences those other factors as welll.
But I suspect if you usually smoke you need to cut it out for a while stay a couple of days sober and then approach the vape and rip into it..
As the smoke clouds the judgement
I mean it's a bit more hashy high that you're getting but it can hit very hard and it can leave you satisfied for a long time..as when I vape a bowl or two I'm not thinking about rolling a joint for a very long time.
And that taste nothing but all flavours you grow but pure and fresh.
I always just used a regular pipe, then I won a Cipher Nova in one of the contests on here- it's an electronic pipe that lights the weed with a plasma arc- works great, once you get past the learning curve- now it's all I use-
But it's still just a pipe, and it burns the weed, so just as bad for your lungs as joints...
I got a nifty little bubbler for it, which mellows out the smoke quite a bit, but it's still just "smoking"..
I plan to keep trying the dry herb vapes- I was a cigarette smoker for 45 years,(quit 5 years ago) so my lungs don't really need any more abuse...
Yeah same although bit less on the time scale.. yeah stopping the burning and coating them lungs in terpenes and cbd & thc vapour might cut them some slack.. although it's probably also not great but just by the mechanics of it all it already should be way way way less harmful as you're leaving all that burned material out of them.
And if you then believe in the healing power of the oils you're all good
Oh and I usually ramp up my sessions, I try to start at low temps and then ramping it up (I mean that naturally happens when you first start using the device and it heats up more) but I remember when I came from smoking I wanted high heat and big vapour clouds to get that smokers hit.
But that's not necessary for great flavour and good effect, except for with the bong bubbler then I keep it in high gear to get a big hit so I can fill up the chamber.
