I have legit been calling kief the tip off the trim like my whole life!

This is like “bips and bops” all over again!

I got a new grinder (with a kief catcher) awhile back- the one I used before didn't have one, so the kief just gets smoked with the ground up weed, and you may not even notice it...

Add a healthy pinch of it to a joint, and I guarantee, you'll notice it...:lot-o-toke:

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but I had to find you a good one...

I apparently got the last 3" one, but to get a 2.5 inch with kief catcher, look for an "Able Tack 2.5" 4 Compartment Grinder with Screen" on a- zon.

(can't link unless I want a spanking..) :)

There's a crapload of them, but very few have the kief screen -this is one that does..$16+shipping..

Just a little Thursday Update...


It's becoming increasingly apparent that I put the big plant into the small SIP...in my defense, she was the little plant at transplant time.. 🤔
The 34 day old one is on the left, 24 days on the right- they're both still behind a little, but I think at least one of them will catch up pretty soon...
#1 (they're both Wookiee autos) is doing fine, but #2 (aptly named;)) is only growing on one side of the plant-
So, we'll see how things go...

They look super healthy.

How old were they when you topped them?

Do they have their first (primordial calyx) pistils yet?

I've been trying to top my autos when I see their first pistils. It seems to buy me up to two weeks before they flower. Very anecdotal.
I do the same thing with some of my veggies. They get another spurt of vegetative growth and then push out flowers again.

Wookiee#2, in the green SIP was topped at 14 days old- She had a little clump of pistils pop out of an odd spot, so I assumed she was flowering...but she didn't really get serious about it till day 20 or so.

#1, in the small SIP (topped 13 days ago) isn't showing me anything yet, on day 34...of course, that makes me think she might be a photo...but either way will work for me...as long as she's a she...:)

The first part of this grow went kind of funny, so I just wanted to get them topped and transplanted
so I wouldn't have to f*ck with them for a few days....:cheesygrinsmiley:

Good morning VG :)

I did the same but took it one step further. I topped every flower point my W produced and it seemed to both delay flower and increase veg.

My Wookiees don’t grow like yours (unfortunately lol). I made a point of really stressing this one and she’s my best Wookiee yet by a country mile.

Yeah, I definitely don't go that far.
I just topped once and trained the uppermost branches.
It did seem to work though.

JG did send me some more seeds to play around with. I plan to keep the Wookiee in my line up for as long as possible.

He is an absolute legend. I think I have 6 left. I gave too many away. You can’t sell seeds in my country, but they are seedhouse standards. He’s a definite seed magician. If I was Barney’s Farm I’d definitely hire him as part of my production team.

He really does have a knack for this stuff- I remember when he was about 13 or so- his Mom caught him growing weed in a cabinet in his bedroom- so he's actually been growing longer than I have... ❤️
 
Asi Azi said elsewhere, 10 days might make all the difference between them, and I'm making a bold prediction that the bad side produced a fatter cola than the good side!

You're probably right about that, Shed- the bad side has already caught up to the good side, now that she's finally growing like a weed...

No time like the present for a Monday Update...

They're both Wookiee autos- #1, on the left, is 37 days old, #2, on the right, is 27 days old...
They're both living on nothing but Grow Dots and water so far...today is day 13 in the SIPs for both of 'em...both growing in a 2'x2'x4' cardboard box under a NextLight 420h @ 140 watts../30k Lux @ the canopy. Light is 25" above the plants.
They seem to like it in there...

They've both really taken off this week, but #1 is still outperforming #2, at least for now...

Her branches are really beefy...it seems to be a SIP thing- she probably won't need any additional support, even when/if the buds get huge...

#2 is also doing pretty well now, and she's also "sort of" flowering for the last week, but she's still a week or two away from putting out any little pom-poms...

They're each drinking over a quart a day, that will more than double in the coming weeks...

Both are still 4 & 5 inches tall, but they're considerably wider than they were last week...

Have you given any thought to which one goes outside when two won't fit in the box anymore?
 
Well, I'd rather schlep the little SIP, but I don't think that's how it's going to go...
Things could change in the next few weeks, but right now, it's looking like I'll be schlepping the big one in and out...fortunately, it's only about a 5 foot schlep... :)
 
It appears that it no longer matters which one get schlepped! They're both gonna' be stellar CarcassGrows®!:Rasta:
