Carcass' $150 Low Budget Grow 2019

I hope you have time for the Cheese to grow big before it goes into flower

I know it's a little late in the season, but I just got the seeds about a week and a half ago...
She won't get very big (especially if this June gloom keeps up) but I'm just growing her for fun anyway-the 2 indoor ones will keep me smokin' for quite awhile so I'll probably just give away whatever she ends up producing.
I've got to get one to pop first...not looking real good so far with the free seeds...

Thanks,SO !
She is definitely the frostiest thing I've grown-gonna be a messy one at harvest time...
(but it's a good kind of messy ;))

Well,it's Tuesday,so it must be time for Monday's update...?
I've got a little time before the granddaughter gets here,so I'll sneak
this in before she arrives...
The girls aren't growing up much anymore, now they're busy working on the buds...
Northern Lights on the left,Peyote Critical on the right

Getting pretty close to a full house in there...

Pulled them out for a few pics-The NL is shorter than the PC,but a bit more "husky"

Here's a top shot-not as many buds as the PC,but what she has are a little fatter:

Here's the PC-taller and skinnier than her roommate:

1829756

More buds on her than the NL-I'm going to try and spread her out a little to give the buds
a little more elbow room...

1829757

This is a NL bud-slowly getting frostier:

The PC's buds are way ahead in the frost department...here's a couple of 'em

1829759

Even the larger fanleaves near the buds are frosting up,can't hardly touch her anywhere without getting sticky...

And here's a farewell shot of the guy outside-I got a little clone off him that seems to be rooting,so he's going away-he's just getting too big again, and not even close to producing any pollen...

I'm starting a Seedsman Cheese (fem) that's going into his spot
If it pops-the first one I tried didn't go-popped out two taproots, and stopped growing...
They were free seeds,so I can't complain,at least not yet

So that's about all for today-Thanks for looking, I appreciate the support!

See you here again in about 6 days or so-Hopefully things will be back to normal around here by then...:peace:
Daaang nagad they look amazing my friend , amazing bud structure . Your man standing outside the window looks like you have 2 men standing outside the window. Awesome job dude. You know ya guys are funny , we keep our houses messy ( not dirty just messy). But our grow rooms are immaculate. Glad to see things going good for you buddie. How longs are you away from 12/12 outside ?? We still have 2 months ish . But just chop him again dude , first 2 nodes on each arm stay rest goes , keep em short and sweet again . Anyway can’t wait to see what you do with the space dude

I've got until the beginning of October before things start flowering outside-I'm trying to get a seedsman Cheese going to fill his spot, but not having any luck so far....There may be a reason
that those "free seeds" were free ...if one of them doesn't pop soon,it'll be a Northern Lights out there...

You should be basically done by the end of October, no?

I'm sure you're right-it's been awhile since I grew outdoors,I thought I remembered them finishing around the middle of November-but that was back before I kept any kind of records...
And my swiss cheese memory doesn't always serve me that well....;)
All I know for sure is I need to get something going soon out there...

Forgive me Carcass, just commenting to let you know I'm following.

Just wanted to ask what grow tent you'd recommend for one to two plants.. My house is pretty small and I won't really need to grow anymore than one at a time... (probably won't be saying this in a few months lol)

Growing medical and auto strains. Is yours a good starting size?

Did you read the first couple posts of his journal? It’ll explain how to build a worthy grow space under a small budget :thumb:

I'm not a tent expert by any means, but if I were buying a tent for two plants,I'd go with a 3'x3'x6'.
Two plants work in a 2'x2'x44" but it's not really ideal-even with training (which you should also read up on) they fit,but barely.
With a 3'x3' you'd still be able to grow with one light-any wider would probably require 2.
Is yours a good starting size?
Like I said-it works, but it is really a little too small,I can't let the plants spread out like they want to-1 more foot in both directions would be ideal for 2 plants. Oh,and 2' taller would also be a big plus...;)

I'd recommend a 2' X 4' tent, at least 6' tall. A 2' X 4' tent will handle two largish plants. With a 2' deep tent, you'll be able to maintain your plants without moving them. There's less chance of breakage, and you can easily maintain a SCRoG in it. With a 6' tall tent you can place the fan and filter on top of your tent, and have about 3-1/2' of height for your plants to grow. You'll lose about a foot for your containers, and about 18" for your light including the space between it and your canopy. I've grown four plants in one with eight colas each for harvest just shy of 1/2 lb. Our sponsor Mars Hydro has one this size, and gives us a discount.

Personally, I like the 2' X 4' X 7'-8' tents. Gorilla makes them, but they are pricey. You can get Gorilla clones for less than 1/3 of the price. I'f you're in Canada, I can point you to a 'net based retailer or two that carry them. I have a 2' X 4' X 5' tent. Every grow had colas growing into and over the light, when it was as high as it could go, with no filter above it.

Whatever you do, don't try to save by buying a cheap light off of one of the big on-line retailers. My wife won a Mars Hydro TSL-2000 about a month ago. I've been impressed so far during veg. I'll be switching to flower on Monday. The jury is still out, as I have one of the first ones produced, and I don't know how it will perform during flowering. It seriously outperforms a 'blurple' light of the same wattage that I started with so I'm not too worried about it.

I'm in the UK unfortunately.

But thanks for the Size recommendation. I'll be certain to take a look at some.

Have to agree 100% on the tsl2000. have changed my whole grow in less than a week. Mars do tents too and ship quickly. Ask Sara on the mars thread in my sig about sizes and discount for members too.
