Thanks Lester, I'll check out the 217 tonight. :thumb:

Here's an update on the kids. I think I'm going to germ a couple more Hawaiian Skunk Haze this weekend in addition to a couple WW x MK from my home grown. The skunk haze plants are really bushy and nice! One of them is probably male though. I've been doing rotating and tucking of the really big fan leaves to open things up for the lower growth.

Here's the flux "girls". Should I leave the fan leaves from the new tops on there guys?

And I'll have some time lapse ready this weekend, I haven't had time to edit the last few days of them yet.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Yeah I would at least for now this way it produces that next arm faster. Looking good.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Hi Cannafan, your centre trunk looks to be too tall for a traditional flux as the arms want to be level with the top rim of your pot. Is there any way you could get it buried deeper in a larger/taller pot?
I find with the arms grow faster with two fan leaves left on until the new leaves get to 1 1/2" & I spread the new growth to allow light in which keeps the structure of your new arms nice & tight. :)

The sns products are great I ran out before and couldn't wait for amazon so found ground rosemary in my water will help keep them at bay. After reading the 203 which I might be confusing it with another but the idea was a soil drench so the plant sucks up the oils and incorporate it into the plant which will eventually leach out the foliage making the plant not so high on the bugs list on the buffet. . I know I'm a bit behind but hopefully this makes since

makes sense. Where did you learn this at Id like to know more

Hi Blueballavngr,

I did do the drench with the 203 last weekend, and will be doing another this weekend. I don't see any signs of bugs in the soil so it must be working good. I just want to be sure I get any bugs that are already mature and zipping around my leaves.
Thanks for the info!

@ SkunnyMonster,

you're right on the stems. I thought they might be too tall and thin myself, especially when I had tried to tie down the new shoots a few days ago. That was before you guys told me to let them grow.
I will replant these two in taller pots, this will solve two problems for me. One, the long stem and two...I've been trying to figure out a solid rim for these fabric pots to effectively do the training without the wires pulling in the sides of the pot. So, for these two I will get something sturdier.

@SmokerJoe, :thanks:

Hey Joe,
Sierra Natural Science (SNS) is a sponsor here....last I knew. I could not find them on the sponsor list this morning though.
They award part of the prize package for MOTM and the other contests.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Good advice going on with your fluxes. A new home, deeper set is the key. Leaving foliage as Skunny says till the new shoots are developed is the right path! Once re homed start the gentle training down to the horizontal. Just leave the tether points half an inch from end so the growing tips can face upwards still.
As for cloth pots and firming or rims, I think just a wire coat hanger bent and then fed into the top hem would work well. Get it slightly sprung and it should hold its form just fine.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Thanks LightAddict!

I can do the coat hanger trick on some of the pots, but on several of them I made the hem too tight to feed anything through it. LOL
I'm going to put the two fluxers in my hard plastic pots tomorrow, I already have holes drilled in the edges so those will work out great.

Next round of fabric pots I make, I'm going to sew something sturdy like the coat hangers in the hems before I finish them up.

I was just gonna ask about your pots actually! I don't think I have the ability to do something like that right now but I want to read about them and bookmark it for the future. My daughter in-law would love to study about it too! Thanks for the link! Really like what you're doing with your grow.

Re: the recent malware messages from google chrome

Here's a thread on the website help and feedback from when this happened last year, it has an explanation from an admin for the cause:

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

On to growing, I have transplanted the two flux gals (we hope they are both gals, LOL) into larger containers. These are hard plastic and I put holes in the rim with an old soldering iron.

I hope I didn't plant them TOO deep this time, but that is easier rectified than not deep enough.

The clay pebbles in the top of my soil are for watering ease. It helps distribute the watering easier for me, and until I find that they are causing any problems or issues, I will continue using them.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

How I transplanted these from the fabric pots was a little tricky. I laid the pot down in the bottom of my dirt bin and put my fingers and palm around the plant stem for support. Then I rolled the pot gently while pulling at the bottom to pull it off the dirt ball. It worked out well.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Adroit edit!

I understand the reason behind the deep transplant Canna. I'm interested to see how shocky they get. In general burying the stem is a bad idea. It upsets the root soil interface. You may remember a discussion about that with Jay223 (where the heck is that boy?) about this some months ago. It won't kill a plant. Eventually more roots will grow out of the buried stem at the correct level to exploit the shallow soil chemistry, but it will take time. There is an awful lot of activity that takes place between the root and the soil in that first inch of depth. When you burry the stem it deprives the plant of that good activity. Just something to watch. I predict that they will shock up more than they did from the first transplant. Maybe I'm wrong, but since Canna documents so well we'll be able to see.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Yes, PeeJay ...I totally remember that convo about burying the stem. It was in my mind as I was doing this. And I don't know where Jay233 is either, hopefully he will be back soon!

I totally agree with the possibility of shock at this point, but trying to flux these two plants was going to be problematic with that tall stem. Hindsight...and all that. LOL

I will be keeping the time lapse going to watch the activity for sure. Matter of fact, I better go turn those cameras back on. Thanks for the reminder!
