Cannafan's Variety Grow - Blueberry Gum/Delicious CC/Hawaiian Skunk Haze/THC Bomb

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Clone experiment:

I decided to give the straight rain water method another try for cloning/rooting. The cutting is floating in the rain water which I will change every couple of days. Then a dome made from a 2 liter pepsi bottle, cap off. I sprayed the inside of the dome and the cutting with water for moisture. No rooting hormone or any other treatment.

We'll see what happens.

Bat Rastard Gnats! GRRRRRR.....

Reg, when you had the gnat problem (I think it was you recently), did you have any damage to the leaves or was it just a nuisance issue?
I've got small brown dots on some leaves that look like bug issues but I can't find anything besides a gnat here and there even closely inspecting with the loupe under/over the leaves and the soil.
They nibble on your foliage and leave little tiny holes. I always have attacked them aggressively so it never got to the point were I seen spots. The most important thing is spray the leafs underside as well as the top & heavily spray the soil to kill the larva which the newborns hatch from.
Trust me Partner, just add the Broke Azz Gnat spray to your regiment for a few days & your grow will be gnat free until harvest. Also now I spray once a week on everything to keep it that way. Prevention is better than curing.

The problem with the 203 and making a solution spray is that it might not be concentrated enough (when conserving product)

Consider using the 217 in its ready made bottle instead.

Just because it says "for spidermites" doesn't mean that it can only be used for them. You can use it for other insects as well.

Hey Lester, I'm going to look tonight. Pretty sure I have two bottles of ready made solution (spray bottles) but I can't remember what numbers they were. If it was the 217 I will give that a try also.

Okay, home now. I checked and I have the 217. I don't have any peroxide for Reg's home mixture, so I will try the 217 in the morning before I head for work. Thanks guys!

Update on the seedlings, they are all doing well including Lil' bit. She's working on the second leaves, still a runt but she's apparently going to make it. Two days ago I had them under CFL lighting and all of them seemed to just stop growing at all. Like they stalled. Reviewing the video confirmed that they were not progressing at all. I put them under the T5 on Sunday and they came to life. I should have a time lapse on them tomorrow morning for you.

Smiley tab isn't working. So a basic :) for ya. LOL

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Weeeeellll now, I think I have discovered the problem with the bugs and how they got in there. I opened one of my buckets of rainwater and discovered mosquito larvae flipping back and forth in the water. If there's skeeter larvae, then other bugs are present. IMO
I left the bucket outside for two days. Ooops!

Soooooo, that bucket went out the door. I'll be bringing my rainwater in immediately from now on, and the buckets are going to get a good bleaching/cleaning out before I collect any more in them.

Victoria, do you do any kind of treatment to your rainwater before you give it to the plants?

And the SNS 217 spray seemed quite effective, 3 of those bat rastards took off like lightning when I sprayed the plants last night. I'll spray every day this week and do some soaking too.

Good news, one more identified female is the THC BOMB #2. Yey!

Use a pair of old stockings as a screen to stop any bugs getting in your water. I'm not sure if you call them stockings in the US but they are long thin socks that ladies wear with suspender belts :)

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Hahaha, suspender belt! When is the last time you wore stockings and garters, Canna? Wahahahaha.

I'm a tomboy.

Anyway, I do not treat my rainwater at all. I put mosquito dunks in the tanks, I have four collection tanks. I break the dunks up and only put a tiny piece in because they don't last very long and break down pretty fast. I check the pH now and then. It is always about 6.8 so nothing is needed to be done. Every now and then I see if the water has a rancid odor and if it does, I empty the tank out on the gardens and wash it out. I'll even fill the rainbarrels with tap from the hose. The chlorine/chloramine dissipates, but unfortunately the pesticides and atrazine does not dissipate. I try not to use tap if possible on indoor plants. Outside, the soil is teaming and can handle it.

LOL, yep they call them stockings or panty hose here. Good idea if I can get them to stretch on that bucket, otherwise I have some fine mesh screen I'm going to try. :)

Ummm....I wore a garter at my wedding for a traditional thing. Other than that I am a tomboy all the way. 2 brothers, no sis...no choice.
:laughtwo:

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

Well, I also wore a garter at my wedding and stockings and a bustier and a thong when they were called a G String! But, that was a little while back.

I'm an only child, but raised by my daddy who has custody of me. So, I had gaggles of boys around me always as he was a boy himself.

Re: Cannafan's Variety Grow-Blueberry Gum-Delicious CC-Hawaiian Skunk Haze-THC Bomb e

I have to say I am not female but there is a difference between a G-string and a thong
G-string is just that stretchy rubber band thing with a triangle up front
Thong has a slight bit more material not just a rubber band and a triangle cloth up front
hehehe

LOL GF,.....And on that note.....let's change the subject. :goof:

Here's an update on all the kids. They are doing great. They took to the first light dose of nutrients so well that I upped the dose to them this morning with 1/2 strength mix.

Under the TOPLED panel are 5 plants: (only two of these identified as female so far)

And under the T5 are Delicious Cotton Candy Fem, G13 Blueberry Gum #1, and the seedlings. I have a new baby sprouting this morning. Should have a fairly clear time lapse. I am bringing home the new camera today. :slide: All of the seedlings are the home grown beans, White Widow x Master Kush. Lil' bit is doing great! The two fluxed plants have not shown sex yet.

I will be adding wires to the fluxers tonight, it's time to get them settled down. ;-)
