This new work schedule makes it impossible for me to bring the outdoor plants inside to protect them from the raccoons and opossums. I am at work during dusk, the start of their prowling, and I am sleeping during their trips back to their nests at around dawn for their final food hunt.

I found an old patio table base made of wood slats, and a flat wooden top to something that escapes me right now. It's about twenty years old. LOL
So I covered the patio table base with plastic sheeting to protect it and keep the critters from climbing it. Even if they did, they don't have much of a way to get on top of there. Voila! I have room for about 6 plants on there. Two more Custard Cream clones went out today. If it gets crowded I can extend that top with more boards.

That looks like a comfortable height for the deer...... now they won't have to bend down :laugh:

Hey Beav, you must have ESP. Was just thinking about you and how you are handling the heat. :)

Yeah, the deer would be right about dinner table height. :laugh: They don't bother the MJ plants though. They do nip off flower tops in the front yard and by the pond though. This table is right in front of the tomato garden which is fenced off at the bottom to keep the critters out. So far the deer have not bothered with those. I might be because there is a pump/well underground right in that 6' foot area and you can hear it and slightly feel it kick on. I'm sure the deer are much more sensitive to that than I am. Could be scaring them. Gotta hope. LOL

Hi Cannafan,

It's warm up here for sure, I can't imagine what it would be like without the breeze coming in off the lake.

This is my first summer grow and I am sooo impressed with what the sun can do! I like my Mars Reflectors but...... Also, I just popped the ThunderStruck seeds that you brought to my attention a couple of months ago. I am really looking forward this grow as I'm running out of options so I'm hoping that this is the strain I've been looking for. I ordered the Treasure Island seeds from the same breeder, they have a 4:1 CBD:THC ratio. In the mean time, my jars of "too strong" strains continue to multiple, but I guess there are worse problems to deal with.

Glad your girls are doing well, and I hope the new job is going good too.

I'm going to tack some plastic sheeting around the top later to protect it from water/rot.

:laugh: I never knew that. The people I stayed with on my trips over there were not MJ smokers in any way, so the discussion never came up.
The cone was easy to roll.....it was already done for me. :) One of the great MOTM prizes are some cones from sponsor "CONES" :

Kinda wouldn't surprise me if they were going through hundreds of them with all the huge harvests. SOMEBODY has to smoke it up. :laugh:

Hey canna you might try hitting up the dollar store and buying boxes of black pepper and instead of filling up the table shaker throw that shit all around wherever you don't want animals. Any animals. It works like a miracle. Also like cayan pepper course ground I feel works best it holds in the grass better from the wind. Good luck hope the "table" works for ya and this isn't necessary but just fyi

I thought about your comment on "too strong strains" this morning and started wondering on a possible way to reduce the strength so you can enjoy them.
Light supposedly degrades THC, which is why we store our buds in dark places and dry them in dark places. I've always read this, and always followed the program.
Sooooo....if you took those buds and left them out in light for awhile, maybe it would lessen the strength of the THC for you?

I'm throwing that out there for discussion or thought pondering. What say you all?
