Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

How does it taste?

I haven't tried it since it has dried...yet. ;-) The popcorn bud I stole last weekend tasted green, of course, but had a hint of pine.

I jarred it all up tonight, so far the smell is quite pleasing but I can't put my finger on what it smells like yet. It needs to cure for sure.

Super job girl. BD gonna be in my next grow. I'm pretty sure about that.

:thanks: Magic Man. I think you will love it. I'm going to try keep clones going from this original plant, I have a couple of beans left...but why use them if I don't have to? ;-)

You did a great job Sista. Tim always said that Blue Dream was a good yield'er.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Well, reviewing the surveillance video from the night of the major damages....I don't have a "Rocky Raccoon"...I have a Rocky and Family.
There were at least 5 of them bouncing around the deck and that table while the one bigger thief pushed the plant off.
The night it got trapped and out of the cage, it was the same 5 critters.

Last year I thought that they were smelling the chicken poo in the soil mix, this year I think the same. SO, I'm heading down to the cove girls that I had topped off with the poo mix and soil to see if they got hit too.

Be back later. :)

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Yepper, they hit the cove girls. Not bad though, the dirt got dug up pretty good and only one plant was lying on the ground, thank goodness the stem was not broken. All three got a good propping up and now I consider how to protect them. Problem with any kind of fencing is the Raccoon's will just climb it. I think I have a remedy though, so I'm heading out to try it.

It is clear that it's the chicken poo soil mix that is the draw. The two plants by the pond that got top dressed a bit with it were hit, and the one within a couple feet was not top dressed and they left it alone. Also, the graft girl was not top dressed and they left her alone as well. The only plants that got attacked had the fresh mix in them.

I'll post a pic later of my idea to protect the cove girls.

I also did some grow moving in the house today to clear out the bedroom for a visitor in August.

Hope everyone is have a great day!

Oh No!

I feel a little guilty:( :circle-of-love:

Good luck with the remedy :thumb:

No more poo for those girls! Darn coons anyway!

For sure on the outdoor plants. I'm going to give the soil at the cove a good soaking so I can get the nutes down in there. We need rain, but it keeps missing us here.

Tonight will be fun, I have two traps set and will have some candle light so I can see the area better. The cameras are infrared, but it's still difficult to see beyond a couple of feet from the table.

Oh No!

I feel a little guilty:( :circle-of-love:

Don't feel guilt, I would have done it anyway. You're off the hook.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

If this isn't just too freaking funny! I have to laugh or I will go crazy.

I was going to get an update on what's going on indoors, decided to cook up some spaghetti for dinner later and my main burner on my stove went kaput. Soooo.....I cooked dinner on the smaller burners...ate. And now I get to fix a stove. The refrigerator must have had a disease that spread before I cured it. Hopefully it doesn't spread to the dishwasher, downright tired of fixing that thing.

To ease frustrations, I'm dropping some beans in water tonight. I'm going to try the Cream of the Crop's "Lemon Venom" and Crop King's "White cookies". The White Cookie seeds are regulars, so I guess I better germ three and hope for at least one female.
I better drop a White Widow too, I don't have any left. Oh WOE is me!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I've been reading about stinging nettles being a deterrence for animals around the garden. I am putting some serious consideration into transplanting some that I have here around the outdoor girls too keep the raccoons away from them.

Anyone know if this works to keep animals out, or if there are any major downsides to doing this? I'm sure I'll have to keep them trimmed down so they don't get ten feet tall. LOL

What'cha think?

The boss says try "Peppermint oil" put it around the plants in a couple of circles. :Namaste:

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I don't inhabit the same Continent as Raccoons so no personal experience, I did find this info on the Web;

"You can plant squash around your corn or other plants to deter raccoons; they don’t like walking on the prickly squash-vines.

Hang shoes and clothes that smell of human perspiration around your garden or corn patch.”

You can try to repel raccoons by putting human hair around the-garden.

Nettles are full of iron, calcium and magnesium – handy if you're looking for a superfood. It's also full of nitrogen, which is why it is so good for plant food and compost heaps"

If you have a good supply of Nettles now what about cutting lots to lay as a thick mulch around the Cove?

I like the idea of the Nettle mulch AJ! :thanks:

Here's an update on the outdoor kids while I was able to get pics.

Cee Cee (custard cream clone 1) is looking much like the Blue Dream in size. I think this has everything to do with the pot being a couple gallons larger than I normally use:

cee_cee.jpg

This is Custard Cream clone 2, smaller plant for sure. This is in the regular size fabric pot. I think these were 4-5 gallons if I remember correctly:

Train Wreck (in back of photo), and the Blue Dream reveg recovered very well from the Raccoon attack. I started training again today. Lost the picture somewhere along the line. I'll upload again in a bit.

Lola, the graft girl is doing great!

The Fast n Vast x Master Kush is doing well. There are no pistils to be seen, which should have happened by now on an Auto...I think. I'll keep checking daily though. It's time to go to a big girl pot too:

Now the downer....has anyone wondered about the planter with all of the test seeds in it? Me too...hard to find. There is so little sun getting to these plants that it is severely slowing down the growth. I have no way of opening up that area due to two large oak trees with limbs way too far in the sky to get to. I will just have to hope that I get one or two worth harvesting:

Now, let's end on an upbeat. Couple of bud shots from Cee Cee:

And one from cc clone 2:

Cee Cee is looking mighty fine, the leaves have that distinctive sheen of quality :thumb:

Sorry to hear your disapointment about the outside planter, they were test seeds and now you can make adjustments :thumb: Have I missed the bit where you discussed growing them on a 'raft' floating on the lake?

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Well, it's been a helluva day. However, it ended with some great things. Dennise is home and recovering.....

And guess who got called back to work? I got the call a couple hours ago. Won't know anything more until tomorrow, but they are calling everyone back from the layoff.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Awfully quiet on this thread. I took a shower last month.....really I did!!

Jez kidding. Busy summer for everyone.

I'm going to update everything growing except the planter, I haven't been out to see that today yet. Kind of afraid to see what branches have come down on it. LOL

First up are the pond girls getting all fluffy n stuff:

I'm going to have to go back through the thread to see what strains these are, I thought I had typed this in to my plant calendar....but apparently forgot.
