Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Can I learn the secret to creating bugs that beautiful? I have only tried a handful of times but I have never had anything as sticky looking as that.

What strain was it again?

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I will toss out a guess, why the heck not!

I am going out on a limb and say I personally think that stress and genetics cause hermies. So, we take two plants and spray them with CS. One switches easy and the other fights like crazy. Is it possible that the first one already was hermie prone? If so, then you would end up with lots of hermie seeds as it was already in the genes to start with in my hypothisis. On the other hand, the girl that fights until no other option is left is doing what cannabis can do to survive. That plant IMHO will produce females.

I am thinking that SheHeShe was a She to start with and didn't really want to be a He. You forced the issue. The second you turned your back she went back to petticoats. I think they will be female seeds.

Unless I am high. Oh, wait, uh, yea I may be high. :lot-o-toke:

High or not....I like your hypothesis Bob. This plant was a clone from a perfectly good non hermie female. She resisted turning male until I had completely given up to let her grow her own thing...at which point I happened to look one day to see her resistance had failed. When I put her/it under a different lighting schedule the pistils started forming again. I let her go again, nothing came from the male pollen sacs...no pollen at all. Allowing her to continue on so long, that's when the billions of nanners came around. Self preservation via self pollination.
I'm thinking they are female seeds.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

The two branches that I was testing seeds maturing on in water are working. I pulled off two mature seeds that were greenish a couple days ago. They suck up water like crazy. LOL

I have another experiment for "just want to see" reasons. I put one seed in a rock wool cube and one in a root riot plug to see which one gets feet and sprouts first. Just cuz I need chit to do.

I think drunkin has been reading back in the outdoor summer grow. There were lots of pretty bug pictures for sure!

Hi dunkindabs and :welcome:

Excuse the funnin' with the typo on "Bugs" (I'm sure you meant nugs or buds). It was a helluva spring/summer grow with bugs of every kind imaginable. We had a whopping good time with critters.

The two most recent strains harvested were Buddha seeds, which was an unknown strain, and Afghan Kush.
I did not take clones from either one, damnit! LOL

I think drunkin has been reading back in the outdoor summer grow. There were lots of pretty bug pictures for sure!

Colors galore. They looked so pretty...but were so destructive.

Those really are some pretty nuggets you've just harvested, Canna, but I had a great laugh when I saw drunkins typo.

Good morning Sista, can you take a couple pictures of the Rockwool and the Root Riot plug. I'm interested in the Rockwool seed and how you covered the seed while you are waiting for it to pop up.

Thank you Sista, :love::cco::love:

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I have to admit PeeJay, so did I. I coincidentally was looking at some of those bug pictures yesterday. Good grief!

RSOiler, will do. I'll have them up shortly. Nothing fancy, just in a little cup. :)

UPDATE Flowering Room:

I have 3 plants left down there, first up is the MK x WW. She's doing okay, but I think that soil is about depleted. Hopefully she'll be fine for the duration, if I see any major problems I'll just give her some GH nutes to tide her over. Maybe a little Cal/Mag tomorrow.

Now the Scrog vs. LST girls. They are starting to get some brown pistils and I will need to do some defol today or tomorrow to open up a BUNCH of buds on that Scrog girl:

Pinging off the walls yet......:)...:circle-of-love:

You have no idea. I am so not used to being stuck in this house every day....all day. No oil to calm me down, anxiety like there's no tomorrow and can't sleep to boot. Pity party.............one minute long....okay pity party over.

Here ya go brother dear, nothing spectacular. The dark one is a root riot plug and the other is rock wool. I just placed the seed inside and into a little clear plastic shot glass, sitting in low light warm spot.

Thank you, did you just cover the top by pushing the Rockwool together at the top?

That would be enough to take off the shell?

I just put them back together and into the shot glasses which hold them real tightly together. No light getting in the premade holes in the tops.

Oh, I get what your question meant now. Doh! Yeah, I'm hoping when the sprout starts reaching upward the shell will come off from the plug pressure like soil would do.
We shall see......

3 of my test subjects in the experiment container came up with the shell still on them, despite that they were 3/4" buried in the soil.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I'm guessing you used the drop of water method? How often did you put drops of water on it & how long did it take for the shell to come off?

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Your photos look wonderful Cannafan! You sure grow some nice flowers. :thumb:

I always use those Root Riot plugs. For cannabis and veggies, they are the best. I turn them upside down and make a new hole and push seeds down into the hole about 1/2 way. Then I keep them moist and sitting in a tray under either a Mars-Hydro 48x3 reflector model LED or a 4 tube 2' T5 florescent until the reward comes. A little piece of aluminum foil over the top of each plug, with a little hole punched for the plant to grow out of the plug, keeps any mold/algae from growing. Otherwise I just use a weak H2O2 spray on the plug.
