Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Sorry Canna, I was joking. Seemed like y'all had explained all this a bunch. I was playing like I missed the middle part.
No worries.

I thought that was what you were doing.....but I had to ask.

Thanks for the giggles. Much needed.....

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

How many times would you folks that are helping patients get on the oil regimen stay with the patient to be sure all goes well?
I have been through this with my Mom before, I was with her for the first tack and spent the day there just to be sure if she didn't do it correctly that I would be there.

Is there a time frame that you feel comfortable in letting them go it alone whether tacking or other methods? Thoughts or suggestions?

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Hi Canna, I travel quite a lot and in many cases it's last minute with little planning so my ability to stay with someone is often times untenable. In my case it's been helpful to recruit/convert like-minded family and friends to assist. How quickly someone can comfortably and reliably medicate themselves or with the help of a loved one varies greatly depending upon many factors so I try to make it a habit to stay in close contact even if only by phone when traveling.

Thanks Budnoob! After reading your response someone came to mind that is very close by, right around the corner actually, that could step in for me due to my work/home responsibilities. This coming week is going to be very long for me as I'm taking in triple time pay for several days for the Holiday week. I was thinking of waiting until after the new year so the work schedule wouldn't get in the way, but maybe I can recruit this gal to help out until then. She's a cannabis user, not the oil..just recreational.

:thanks:

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Recreational users are perfect candidates :) aside from the funny gawking look they give me when talking about converting several ounces of premium mmj into a few grams of oil then using it in a way that avoids the typical euphoric high associated with smoking, I find they are very receptive once they realize how truly powerful and wonderful our beloved medicine is. It also doesn't hurt once they've seen first hand what it's done for me and others that have been saved.

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Your Dad is there too so with you helping on the front end and him there to make sure all goes well while you are tending to your responsibilities and possibly the girl you mentioned... she should do fine....:circle-of-love:

Yes, he can help to let me know if there are any problems, but I wouldn't assign him anything on timing of doses etc. She fights with him every morning to get him to remember to take his prescriptions. LOL

Oh, how I could see her gasp if she knew I was going to take those buds and drown them into something not so purdy that wouldn't even get her on the high level she requires. ROFL She doesn't know I'm growing either, she will just be told I'm getting it from a trusted source. ;-)

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Folks that get obvious and fast results, naturally, take to tacking the fastest. What budnoob said, I agree with. All it takes is seeing the results first hand. Whether it's you, or someone you know, seeing IS believing. And then it's full on 'I want to know how to do this'.

My friend with Lyme is so excited by her progress (Another great night sleep last night!) that I'm SURE she'll want to pay it forward....she's already a pro at tacking....in fact she loves it and has no problem at all. Cannafan, she has stains in her denture for a couple of hours after she tacks, too. My 30 minute stain may be due to the fact that my dentures are loose and I taste and feel the oil in my throat almost each tack. So my saliva may be taking it away faster than you guys. Not enough to get high (be euphoric), just enough to notice.

Y'all know the oil tastes terrible, makes your throat sore, stains the corners of your mouth, and gives you sticky lips, right? That's the bad news.

The good news is that it can save your life and give you your quality of life back! WOW, what a trade off!!! I'll take it...I'll tack it.

On the question of how long to observe a patient...
It's not usually feasible to stay with a person as they 'come on' to the oil. That takes about 2 hours, so I want to hear from them at about that time after their first tack. Also, I meet in person or by phone with each 'oiler' in the early evening and again in the morning before they start the day and re-tack. In other words, I want to know how their day went when it's over, and I want to know how their night went when it's over. I'll probably back off that schedule if I treat more people, as I'll run out of time. I'm new at this and want to keep a VERY close eye on these folks. If anything goes wrong, I want to be able to intervene ASAP. The worst I've seen is an unwanted high. Euphoria is not a description I'm comfortable with. It sounds pleasant....enjoyable even. Don't kid yourself...it can be hell to some folks (especially non pot smokers).

Rambling...what was the question?

:Namaste:

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

John, what I most want to stay away from happening is my Mom or my Dad getting Euphoria. This can be interpreted as a panic state for non marijuana smokers. They don't have a clue what's happening to them and get panicky is the best way I can explain that.
My folks are elderly, this is not in the plan. LOL

And yes, the oil tastes terrible and burns the throat which is how you know you didn't quite do it all successfully. Ask me how I know this....... LOL

And I really agree with you that tacking onto the denture is going to save on waste. Nothing on the fingers....yea!

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

My wife is dealing with lyme right now. The advise given me, was to go the antibiotic route 1st. If no success then look to CO. So far (:wood:) she seems to be recovering with just the Doxi. She is on her second round though, because after she finished the first round, we went hiking and she picked up another tick. Little bastards. Just my 2 cents. :peace:

I'm in a lyme disease hot spot. about 20% of the people I meet seem to have had it. The local first step is to hit them hard with anti-biotics. - That;'s what my wife did with THE FIRST SYMPTOMS of Lyme. I believe it would be irresponsible to skip the anti-biotics on new cases.

Folks really suffering after months and years with Lyme is different, RSO / CCO as needed :)

It's all a matter of degree. If you have an illness that strongly impacts the quality of your life, the risk of getting high (euphoria) is a small price to pay. Small doses, high CBD's, sativa, citicoline (sp), tacking, all strategies that minimize psychoactivity. All work to some degree. Let us not deny...

....OK, breathing slower now, thanks...Whew...:phew:

Did I mention that I love you guys? Yeah, you too...

Radogast

That's exactly what the latest personal accounts believe to be the state of the art response, as far as I can tell.

Heavy antibiotics for 3 or more weeks followed by a maint. cco dose every day. No info on concurrent use.

I hope you didn't read that as something it wasn't meant to be. No deep breaths should have been needed. :laughtwo: I appreciate what you said, just wanted to let you know that I don't want them high. LOL This isn't a life saving thing we're doing, it's trying to relieve her of her stomach ailments. If that works for her, then we'll work on my Dad to get him off his prescriptions for various things. One step at a time. ;-)

Luv you too johnnycake....

What is it about the oil that makes it burn, I keep forgetting to ask that. Is it the residual alcohol still left in it? or......?

OMG my mother used to call me johnnycake....she died on my 35th b-day 34 years ago....what an amazing flash back. Thank you fanny.

Nothing read in....I just get so excited talking about this stuff.....we're talking about saving lives!!! WE are the cutting edge!

I'm so proud of you guys.

No, not residual solvent. I use organic grain that leaves no residue and the oil is still so strong, it feels spicy hot in the mouth, kinda...if you sloppy tack...which I do, but I'm coo! It's really not nearly the burn that alcohol is. Think... a shot of 151 rum. Ooooooowwwwwwww!!! So, I guess it's the 'or'.

Oh, glad I remembered...

In an interview I heard with a woman with Lyme disease, one of her symptoms was horrible nausea and daily throwing up. Made me think of your mom, fanny. This woman's other symptoms got so bad on the oil that she had to stop taking it (common in Lyme to get worse symptoms while killing the bacteria). BUT, the big thing she raved about while being dedicated to returning to the oil, was that HER STOMACH PROBLEMS STOPPED when she started taking the oil, and DID NOT RETURN after stopping taking the oil! Good on MOM, a? A positive sign.

I was nauseous (sick to my stomach) often with cancer and heart attack. MAJOR quality of life downer. It stopped when I started tacking oil, except when I didn't HYDRATE enough. Heart attack left me trapped in the hospital for 3 days with no oil...nauseous, but they have a shot for that. A shot!

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

John,

Stomach problems healing? Now you are in MY court, so move off the bench and pass me that robe and gavel. :high-five: I know only too well the magic this oil did for that. I have a testimonial of this in progress.
I was all over that IBS thread last year.

OK, my hands are up and I'm backing away from the robe and gavel........DON'T TASE ME BRO uh SIS!
