I've a few recipes to work on this weekend, but I got one out of the oven this morning.

Onion Cheese Puffs using Cannabutter and Cannamilk

onion_cheese_puffs.jpg

I make these fairly often, but have never done the Ganja version. I'm going to love snacking on these over the weekend. :)

Cannilla Pudding anyone?

I had some Canna Milk I had to use up and saw that vanilla pudding box in the pantry....

Cannilla_Pudding_3.jpg

So I went for it. Takes 2 cups of cold Canna Milk, and I added 1/4 tsp. of pure vanilla extract to it.

Bro is coming over tomorrow before I go to work. He gets a treat. Wondering if I should have used 1 cup regular milk and 1 cup Canna Milk. We'll find out.

Also, wondering if I can freeze this pudding. I'm going to try a small container of it, and then thaw it this weekend and see what I get.

puddings usually freeze well. yours, being an instant pudding, im not sure, theyre different forms of 'gelling' agents...
Puddings are delicious frozen too. like a custard :)

Here's how I make the milk. Please keep in mind that you don't want to grind the buds up fine, it makes it way too hard to strain out the plant matter and unwanted residue. I just mash mine down while I stir every 5 minutes or so in the process. After the initial straining, I strain it again through a coffee filter just for good measure.

Canna Milk or Canna Almond Milk

Time Required: 1 hour
You can cut this recipe down as needed.

You will need:

large saucepan
1 gallon whole milk or Almond milk
1 ounce dried Cannabis (broken up or chunky ground, not fine)
cheesecloth for straining out the Cannabis
Lidded container for storing

Heat the milk in the sauce pan on a medium setting. Do not let the milk boil.
Add your cannabis to the hot milk and stir gently.
Simmer the mixture for at least one hour. Stir occasionally. I punch my Cannabis down while stirring to get all the goodness off of it into the milk.
Strain the milk slowly into a container using the cheesecloth in a fine mesh strainer.
Strain a couple of times, if needed, to get all of the milk off the Cannabis.
Cover the container with a lid and place in the refrigerator.

While I'm here, I'll post two more recipes. One for Canna Flour for baking, and one for Canna Sugar.

Canna Flour

½ cup of decarboxylated, finely ground powdered Cannabis for every 1 cup of flour.

Grind your cannabis into a fine powder. I have a very small food processor that I use specifically for grinding cannabis. Whatever you use, make sure you don't have chunks. You want a dusty powder just like flour or powdered sugar.

Mix it into regular flour at 1/2 C. Cannabis to 1 Cup of flour. Make sure it is mixed in well. You can use a sifter for best results.

Use it in any recipe that calls for flour.

Canna Sugar

Granulated Sugar
Alcohol Based Marijuana Tincture (or fresh decarboxylated Cannabis. See Below)
Measuring Cups & Spoons
Mixing Bowl
Baking Sheet

Take one cup of the granulated sugar and put it in to a mixing bowl. Add in 1 tbsp of the tincture and mix everything together well. You will not see the sugar dissolve completely, it will look grainy. Spread the mix onto a baking sheet with sides in a fine layer and put it in the oven at 200 degrees for half an hour or until the alcohol from the tincture has evaporated completely. You don't want a flat/no sides baking sheet because some run off could happen into the bottom of your oven. I probably don't need to tell you to be careful with this in an oven....but do be careful and don't spill this on your heating element or gas flame area.

Remove the sugar from the oven and allow the entire thing to cool off completely before continuing. The sugar will look a little clumpy, this is normal. You will unclump that later. Transfer the sugar to a mesh strainer, or seive over your container, and push it through with the back of a metal spoon. This will break up the sugar into granuals again. Seal up your container air tight and store.

OR

Use freshly decarbed Cannabis and Everclear, or other high proof Alcohol. High proof alcohols contain less water, so the process takes much less time to evaporate the alcohol and the water content. This is basically making a tincture.

1. Heat the oven to 250°F|120°C. Spread marijuana out into an even layer on a baking sheet. Bake the marijuana, taking care not to let the marijuana go over 250°F|120°C and burn (if this happens, you can lose potency). Bake for about 35-40 minutes, then remove from the oven and cool before grinding into a coarse powder. This decarboxylated weed will keep in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 2 months.

2. Reduce the oven to 200°F|93°C for the sugar cooking step.
Transfer the weed to a jar and cover with the alcohol. Screw the lid on tight and shake every 5 minutes for 20 minutes. Strain through a cheesecloth set over a bowl, discarding solids. Mix the alcohol with the sugar and spread into an even layer in a glass 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Bake, stirring occasionally, until the alcohol has evaporated and the sugar is lightly golden. Follow the same process as above to push the sugar through the strainer or sieve to break up any clumps.

(Caution: Don't use sugar recipes for people treating cancer and other diseases that sugar is bad for. Thank you)

Yes, I remember pudding pops. :)

I have read that instant pudding does not come out with a pleasing texture. So, I'll update over the weekend on how this goes.

:circle-of-love:

Bro took some Cannilla Pudding home with him.

He left a voice mail for me this evening. He said that was some "kick ass" pudding.

I told him not to eat a whole cup of it like he would regular pudding. He took my advice, even though he has a huge tolerance level. Said he was glad he did that.

:thumb:

BTW, just want to point out that the sugar and flour recipes etc. were originally found on the net. I just add my own experience on what I feel worked better for me.

Now THAT is the way to start breakfast off DrZiggy! That seriously looks delicious and I'm going to have to try that as soon as my drug test is over at work. Sometime before end of next month. I'm anxious to get back to consuming my edibles instead of just small sampling. LOL

I do have lots of cool things planned to cook up over the weekend and next week while we are on Christmas vacation. Fun fun fun....

So, while I'm here I want to wish you all a very

:xmas: Merry Christmas and Happy Safe New Year!:xmas:

with this years' Cannabis Christmas Tree.

And we are having my version of Profiteroles or Cream Puffs, if you like. Made with part cannamilk, cannabutter, and filled with Canilla Pudding or strawberry preserves. Some are dusted with powdered sugar and some drizzled with chocolate.
