Candida CD-1

Thank you aspigeek for digging these info out of the web.

Last time I did this research was a bit more than a year ago, and at that time the “best” thing I came across was MyDx, but was not convincing at all, since it compared your sample to a data base, not a “real” analysis, and besides much more expensive and you had to re purchase new sample chambers and bits every hundred tests. It was a no go for me.

With some savings this tool may, in fact, not be so out of reach. Maybe fairly soon we’ll have early feedback from growers using this “THC detector”.

Again thank you aspigeek.

Hey Aspie.... awesome looking girls! The sugar on the leaves reminded me of something I forgot to share with everyone when I harvested mine. I love hash but can't handle the high like I once could. When I was trimming my Candida I got a good amount of scissor/finger charas. It was awesome! I saved some of the sugar leaves and small buds to do some dry sift at a later date. My point is.... by the looks of your girls, you will have an opportunity for a great little treat!!!

Thanks . I'm looking after them as if they where my children lol so I'm hoping for a good result. These have been incredibly forgiving plants so far, I'm sure I'm not a natural at gardening lol I think it's them that's been good to me.

I did think that they look rather yummy!

I have no clue how to make hash lol I shall have to go on google . I was thinking of using trimmings for oil. Do you have to dry/cure trimmings like with buds? Or Can I use straight away?

Oh.. they do look yummy!!!! When you trim, keep a razor blade handy to clean your scissors. That black stuff is, by definition, charas.... AKA scissor hash. We can talk Hash, Charas & Dry Sift at a future point :-) As for your other question, it is a good idea to slow dry and cure your trim. That said, you don't have to put it in jars and go through the burping process or anything but if you don't do some, it will still be full of Chlorophyll which will give your oils a hay taste.

Thank you all for the attention. Happy New Year to everybody!!!

Nice shots guys. There's a certain "sharp" look to the Candida in flower eh? I'm not sure how to describe it, but I thought the same thing when Lady A and Scorpio posted shots of theirs.

How's it going Sowperior, you letting those ladies show their true colours yet?

I am currently growing candida and am planning on trying these ways to do home DIY cannabinoid testing before sending to a lab for exact numbers. The CBD test seems easy enough but the THC test is still unclear to me.

I literally found this on another forum and wasn't sure if I could post links to it here so I just copied everything into a google doc.

I thought this information might be useful to others on this thread who want to try a cheap simple way to test there meds for CBD.

Hey Dobe, no not at the moment. I had to put a hold on all flowering for about a month and a half so my candidas have just been waiting to go in flower which is happening next week. I'll had to move around ALOT of equipment and switch things in and out and everything else... been super busy, but rest assured next week all 3 candidas will be posing in flower for y'all

Hey all, so i finally was able to resume flowering in my house and i have 2 CANDIDAS in flower as of last night. I forgot to snap a picture of the 2 plants because all the work i was doing sorry, i will update this with a picture of both of them when I'm off work. The candida that i kept alive for so long finally died after being neglected for a for days in the fabric pot, all other plants were fine, she struggled from the beginning so I'm not surprised but it's deff all my fault. Here is a picture of what happens when you neglect a candida in a fabric pot

That's a scary pic Sowperior... but you got the clones, so no problem.

Yea i already had the clones and they were perfectly healthy veg by then so i just let the original candida go while i was away... a little selfish but she was stressed from the beginning. These clones should produced much more content than the would have
