Canadian Growers Group & Friends

Nice to be getting underway! Plus 100⁰ in my greenhouse yesterday, lots of water and weed and food loving it! I never grew autos before, man they grow fast! My Blimburn auto Tangie that is supposed to be phoney in Canada has a smell that is spot on with Tangie ........... the seed business really is mind boggling right now.
It's been hot hot on georgian bay. i was helping someone in Leaf who lives on water do fence post hole sweating like a wet sponge and decide a swin would do the trick, i thought i'd jump right in. Got to my knee and it was WTF thats cold water.

I think(just a guess) if you get phoney seeds they still are what they say 'tangie auto' just not the lineage that blimburn brags about is difference.

I watched a rerun of the eclipse this morning, still one of the greatest shows on earth and free! My Blimburn came from Rocket Seeds with no seal on the box and an easily accessible centrifuge thingy. Buddy at a variety store has 5he whole Rocket line ..........milk, bread and cannabis seeds, ........... that's the availability I like and the way it should be. I wrestle with the price of seeds. I know there is supply and demand and associated cost but my math just doesn't make it add up. I've got Gelato from 3 different companies to grow indoors and should be fun to see where that goes. Weather here is back to normal, June 10th with a frost warning!

Doesn't look like the same strain. All Gorilla Glue Autos planted same day. 2 mediums and two pot sizes. Three gallon pots are kicking ass.

try 2nd week in july depending on weather for maximum temps..

Haven't been posting up a storm lately, busy busy and now lockdown again.

My Not a Grow Journal post;
22c day in ontario today:D and text messages are a coming in. i'm way behind on my clones, so i doubled up and kept 2 clones each off my winter grow(tent) to make moms and cut extra's from flowering plants(tent) to clone, just in case i need more moms for clones.

i also germiated another 6 beans 2 weeks ago; bubba kush 2.0, blue dream, kushy kush, ultra killer fast, the purps, tutankhanom. i should be able to take clones from the clones last week of april and then move on to the seed plants start of may. hoping to be ready end of may start of june.

harvesting last of my 9 auto's the 10th auto 'ak auto' i had to move to 12/12 to flower. it got to be photo plant but it cyrtsal up nice

I highly recommend the MK ultra auto, Blue dream'matic and the best one SUCKER PUNCH auto, it cost way to much but it is best auto i have smoked, took to party for people to try and everyone love so much someone steal the bag. Still curing hulk smash and lsd auto's, got a bud on stereo amp fast drying i'll try tonight.

I also break down and buy some cali connection seeds, 818 headband/ Sour OG. i alway talk myself out of it because they have bad rep on internet(people hate or love no inbetween) and way to expensive. but i decide to try and decide myself if awesome weed. i also get 3 pack of north thunderfuck because you know more beans more fun.

I have 8 photo plants i use to get clones in flower ready to harvest next few weeks in tent (i need the space by may); 2 grizzly purple kush, 1 fruity chronic juice, 1 pure power plants, mk ultra, mk ultra bubble, granddaddy purple and the ak auto that didn't flower.

last week i make trip to peterborough to deliver clones i GIVE to my uncle and drove through lockdown protest in collingwood. i'm like wtf people we ain't in lockdown but they tell collingwood is simcoe county not grey county and they never leave lockdown. Blue mountain is bruce county and isn't in lockdown, blue mountain is like 10-15min drive from from collingwood and wide open so i guess they have point about collingwood being in lockdown, i give the guy a joint.

first time i do clones in coco, pain in arse when they get bigger. dries out way to fast and they go from liking 300 or less ppm nuts to demanding 600-800 ppm nuts. i'll switch back to promix hp for clones in solo cups.

i use the hp pro mix and add in 25 % one 25 liter top soil black earth presidents choice bag to 107 liter bag of pro mix.. this helps the pro mix hold alot more water but still dry s out.. mix well with shovels eh!!!

Well early scare with girls I started from seed suffering an infestation of mites inside my sisters tent before they were moved outside. Still there and used tape and got most, and then 10 days later in their outdoor homes I found them again. Did water and some 10% of dawn and sprayed them down, but it wasn’t regular dawn. We had just changed out the concentrate bottle and someone threw the leftover liquid in the regular bottle. So I pretty much burned everyone to near death, well I did lose Sugar Breath. Now they have responded back nicely, new Sugar Breath started,

Hey tribe, I thought I'd show you how my outdoor plants are doing. Some are further ahead. The New Caledonia plant is doing very well in a pot. The Purple Satellite is in a pot too but not as bushy as the New Caledonia. My plants in the garden are not doing as well as I would like, but the Zamaldelica X (Durban Poison x Big Freeze) is doing better but doesn't get as much light as does the power Plant, Nepal Jam and the Bangi Haze. The Nepal Jam seems like the runt of the lot:

Actually, I have 10 Smart pots, (assuming you're talking about the cloth ones) I'm reluctant to use them in the local climate which is bone dry in summer. If I'm away for several days my fear is they will dry out to much, but I'm willing to give it a try sometime.

Have you given it any thought for your garden plants to put down weed block prior to planting out....it would help suppresses weeds and maintains moisture in the ground...nice plants

Yes good ideas, Chungo,I use mulch generally to keep moisture in and I agree the bind weed and tall grasses can be a problem too, but it also makes them less noticeable in the garden and as someone who's been ripped off before I still like stealth.... I'm waiting for my plants to go crazy with the heat wave here in BC. Once the roots go down far enough the watering schedule should be ample. I gave them a good feeding of fish fertiler three days ago so hopefully they'll get a boost from it. for me there's nothing like the buzz from organic, outdoor sun-grown pot. I swear it's a happier, more euphoric high, but maybe I'm just projecting what I want to see in my pot and that's all in my head. Anyone else experience this, or am I just imagining that?

Yeah even with legalization one needs to be careful of ones plants out in the open. My first grow in BC was 35 years ago I put my plants out in 5 gallon pails in a old clear cut and the only problem was bears coming by and knocking over the buckets numerous times......

Beautifully healthy plant you have Smoker2. Nice trout, are they Brown Trout? I just got back from fishing today as well. Eight nice Kokanee and two Rainbows in the smoker now.

A quick fish story from my youth.
Two families and their kids went fishing to Squaw rapids in northern Saskatchewan. The locals told us fishing was unreal 20 miles up the road at a runoff... we went.
When we got there sure enough they were carrying garbage cans full of fish up the bank. No fishing for the parents as they had a full time job taking fish off the hooks for the kids. My older brother was tired of fishing so he got my uncle to remove his hook from the line, the leader fell in the mud so he dipped it into the water to clean it off.... he pulled out two fish with no cast nor a hook. One fish bit the end of the leader and the second fish went for the swivel on the line end of the leader. Standing on the bank and dipping his line into the very shallow waters edge.
1970's, the average walleye was 3 lbs, many 5 - 8 pounders.

this look like enough light in a 5 x 5
