it's hard to hawk cmh anywhere right now. i forgot they even still made them. there is a plan to phase out gas pressurized bulbs under environment legislation. it's been dragging because a lot of small municipalities and businesses can't afford to convert everything to led.
whenever we have a high bay ballast go out, it gets replaced with a led alternate. we can still get the bulbs for now, but if the ballast goes, it gets pulled and replaced with led. eventually we won't be able to buy the bulbs either.
i know the local shops are having it tough now. there was a bit of a rush right after legalization, and a big bump during covid. since we opened up after covid business simply crashed. a lot of retail has been that way.
online destroyed absolutely everything while that was going on. the biggest grow shop in north america is amazon now.
yeah amazon has a lot of stuff and bs market prices too.. stock up on your cmh bulbs and ballast now then ..
need more ballast than bulbs.. ballast dont last that long.. .. street lights use hps bulbs.. big bill to change..
Cold here to. Great fun this morning reading the wack job theories about the Chinese Balloon. Right wing stuff is the best.I'm excited about the plants I'm growing now. Last time I lost those varieties to pm and trashed them. Never did get to see what was there. Only took one round with a sulfur burner to realize I better clean up my enviroment. -43 with wind chill, my heated waterbowl is frozen solid!
the Balloon has been Shot down!! and is being collected for examination.. right now...

Thank you DD. I've been doing 10grams CA / ltre with .6 ml (about 20 drops) of dish soap. I have different types of seringes. I think it was Azi that shared the recipe, maybe from Hafta.well what are you spraying exactly? concentration exactly ?
both these plants had pm spotting it is out side in the eviroment yes can come into house and indoor grow room
maybe on your clothes right into the tent..
i spray 10 grams citric acid into a gallon water with a few drops of soap 1 mil maybe 5 mls is too much..
soap helps the citric acid stay on the leaf
plants where sprayed multiple time in veg and a little into bloom 3 weeks.. seem good after that maybe a spot or 2 but rip off..
Could it be the citric acid? I have it in powder form. I use a kitchen scale to weigh then heat the distilled water to dechrystalize the powder. You make no mention of distilled but was the way I was taught .

OOOOOO! i have on of those hash presses but can only make 1-2 grams per cookie. Wish I had one 2-3 times the size.Here as well - wish I had more stuff to run for winter hash!!!! I ran all last years stuff and got almost 15 g and I think I'll run it again but I'm going to save it until I have my little tumbler built. I don't think I shook it long enough to get it all - standing out in the greenhouse shakin' shit gets boring when yer feet are freezing!!!! The tumbler is a bit of overkill but I love building gizmos. Plus I'm pretty sure I'll get it all then!!!!I'm lovin' the Hash - I haven't had it since college and that was 50 years ago!!!
I just took advantage of the -28 to -30 and bubble hashed 4 ounces. 2 oz at a time. I left them outside early morning along with the aluminum mixing bowl and heart-shaped mixer. The bowl almost stuck to my skin as I brought it inside.
Before washing them in the bread mixer, I put the 2 oz's into a 120 micron bag and threw in a few 3/8" washers. Put it into a tupperware dish using the lid to close the bag a shook the crap out of it. Got enough keif for 2 grams of pressed and stirred the crap outta my bubble after emptying my mixer into the bags.
This is the only time and temp that I can get a tad more than a 4:1 ratio. I am pretty sure, once I do the 3rd run tomorrow and it dries somewhat, that I will have 1 oz. of bulle and 2 of compressed.
Glad that you are loving the hash, Greenjeans. I just love my Cafe Racer hash. I roll my joints with a mix of hash. keif and pot for combustability. I joint can last me 3-4 hours and the joint pain is almost non-existant.

Electric Sky is what I have for leds. Really sad to see they have recently folded, also noticed Indoor Growing Canada has no more online sales. I have a stash of new Notex Zero 2 ballasts, I seen them folding and stock up. My fondness for de hps has always kept me ahead on bulbs. I would like to upgrade my leds ...... maybe, maybe not. I get my news from the computer so I guess I'll never know the truth about the balloon.

Damn, you guys are having fun, I wish my place was bigger and I had room for a grow room, oh well I have lots of garden space for outdoor, waiting for my Mountain Gold seeds to arrive.
tap water in a bucket sitting for 24hrs is find..
add in 9 grams per gallon citric acid anhydrous food grade! try .4mls of soap dawn soap is good.
stir up good for a few mins
fill spray bottle get spraying..
skip the rest above no heat..

Once I have my little tumbler done I will run the stuff thru again - I know I didn't shake it near enough but I was tired of it. The box works but a lot of extra shakin' - the tumbler will be relaxing!!! I may need to be careful with the hash - too nice of a bang!!!!

making ice wax / oil ?
a friend used to make it whenever we had a deep enough cold spell. had to be in the 30 - 40 below range for three or more days in a row. never made it myself, think i'll ask him about the technique.
Just need a day or 2, freeze everything, do a quick wash 5 min, pour off using window screen to filter, then filter thru 2 coffee filters. I filtered it a second time, this time to see if it makes a difference.

my critic acid is anhydrous dont know if that makes a difference..
you dont need heat to dissolve critic acid 9 grams into a gallon.. stir it.. room temp.
