Can I get your advice please?

Yes you can top a clone, just wait until the roots are established and new growth has started. I also highly recommend the 5 gallon bucket setups. I only grow one plant per bucket and they love the space. You could easily do 2-3 clones per bucket, since they don't get as big as plants from seed.
Thank you for the answers and ideas "Theanswer"! :smokin:

WOW! Someone kicked it into over drive. One clone per bucket would be fine but you could probably get away with 2 or 3. I would go with the larger net pots though and rely get those girls bushy with allot of tops. Here is a link for the net pots.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice jessor! ;)

I'm still considering which way to go as far as number of clones in each pot. "Theanswer" makes a good point about clones not getting as big a seedlings at the end of a grow. At least, that has been my experience as well.

BTW, I did slide my butt down the stairs to the basement this evening and got some clones going. Dang, I'm anxious about trying this all out! :)

I'm really envious about that nice coal bin grow area !! I remember my Grandmothers place they had a simular room ! Never thought they'd be used in this way back then !! You should do better than 2 oz per plant with a 1000 watter !! I got close to 4 with a 400 watt hps in a small closet 1st try !! Just ordered a nice DR100 tent from secret jardin can't wait to see how it helps !! more room more vents etc !! Good luck with your knees ! especially since you have to deal with stairs !! :peace:

I'm anxious for ya too. I've always grown from seed, so I want to see how your babies do. And good luck with thoes knees, I had my left one done about 10 years ago, both would be hell.

The room actually works out quite well. Not too big, not too small (at least far it hasn't been), and it's got a door on it. Everybody and there brother (family, friends, etc.) has been down in the basement, but nobody ever even asks about what's behind the door because they've always known it to be the ahhh....catch all of the crap I hoard (empty boxes of stuff I've bought, instruction manuals, etc.). It's always just been kind of a mess in there, except for the last year! ;)

It is very inspiring to know you got almost 4oz. on your first try! :rollit:

That tent looks like a really nice setup, best of luck to you with it! :peace:

The babies outta be ready to go in a couple weeks at most. Once I get closer, I'll post some pics and start another journal in the appropriate forum.

Thanks on the well wishes with my knees. Thank God, it's only the right one, not both! :smokin:

OK, another question if ya'll don't mind? :surf:

In putting together my pump and irrigation manifold, I used a brass fitting. Will that brass fitting cause any hate or discontent as far as the ladies, nutrients, or ph go?

I know that Roseman uses lead weights to hold his airstones down without any problems, but I haven't read anything about brass.

Thank you!

Mind??? That is what we are all on here for man!!!..

As far as Brass goes..don't worry about it. That fitting won't do anything to cause problems in the performance of your system or screw with the chemicals to notice a difference.

No problems, I was out at the hardware store today and found some plastic ones anyhow.

Thanks Bryan!

Agreed, you might consider getting that ol hip tended to! :smokin:

I can't wait to get all recovered from this latest "bump in the road" so to speak. I am very much looking forward to even being able to hike a mile or two and maybe even keep up with the grandkids!

Ok, so I've put together my first prototype using a 5 gallon bucket and lid, 5" round airstone, 3 and 3/4" netpots, a pond pump, aquarium air pump and various fittings and hoses.....

When I was reading up on the tutorial, it was mentioned that once the airstone is pushing bubbles out, that the water pump should be gurgling and pumping out water as well as bubbles to the netpots. For whatever reason I am not able to make this happen, all I can get is the water to the netpots and I don't see any air bubbles mixed in with it. I am able to slow the flow down to the netpots to a very slow drip thanks to the adjustable valves on the manifold.

Will this work as is, or do I need to "f" with it some more and drive myself crazy in the process? :smokin:

Thanks!

Looks good kruizin and looks like your ready to grow Bro! an if you followed the tutorial you should be golden, remember the more aerated the water the better it is, once the root's hit the air from the net pod's they'll take off, looks good go for it.

:bravo: Doc
