Cajuncelt's Spring 2015 Grow - Blue Dream - Bubba Kush - Critical Cure - Etc

I've said it before, 420mag is more than just a Grow Site. To a lot of us it's our Cyber Home; a "Grow" community more or less. I would have never guessed it possible to have such real connections with folks I've never meet but it's real!
So believe me when I tell you Cajun, You're considered a friend of mines and that says a lot. Anyone who's grown up in a large city can tell you we have thousands of associates but friends are far and few between.

Hi Reg, howdie everybody, and you have opened your heart to us Cajun!:thumb:

I've just gone through harvest of the outside girls, with help from my friend Woody. Brought my half back home to my grow room which is now my drying room. I brought the harvest back in big black plastic bags on a hot day (car still reeks), and when I opened them that night, it seemed like someone had turned a hose on them. Hung the branches the next day with major help from my friend Mendlewab (aka Wobbie). It's been a week now and I am just starting to trim today. My God what a huge job it seems. I have 86 feet of closely packed bud branches hanging to dry that must now be trimed. The outer fan leaves have dried and so are easy to break off the buds, but there's so many....!!! At least it's to make oil and give away, so the trim doesn't need to be too excessive like 'for sale' bud does.
The Mazar and Gorilla Glue grew main cola's as big as your thigh and about 8 feet tall !!! Sour D, OG and GDP were much smaller, with the GDP the smallest at about 5 feet (6 of each except the GDP at only one...I guess it felt alone!).
I ran a charcoal filter and dehumidifier at first, fearing mold from the wet. Then went to just dehumidifier but started getting comments from neighbors about the smell, so went to filter only for a few days, and now just still air on warm days to finish off. Smell is not as strong now ....unless I handle the buds.
We had to ask the people at the garden supply that was local to the grow how to cure so much bud. Mason jars just would not work. We'd need hundreds of them! They told us about 'Gamma Lids'. I'd never had so much bud to deal with, so I'd never heard of Gamma Lids. They are a two part lid that consists of an adapter ring that snaps onto a 5 gal bucket rim, and a lid that screws into that ring making the bucket air and water tight. Cool tool. About $10 each bucket with Gamma lid at Homo Despot (Home Depot Homer bucket and black lid). About twice that much money elsewhere.
Hope all is hunky dorie with y'all. Lots of reading to catch up with...

:Namaste:

Hecks Yeah John! Congrats... If you feel comfortable with it how about sharing a pic of all that bud drying with us.

Quick pic.
I'm going to be making (10)-1gal fabric pots today.

My pics usually are barely competent, but the Autos on the right are in my mix. The lil shits on the left are the work mix. I like my amendments so far. Much bigger plants.

Got a few questions how I get such young plants to look like bushes, not Xmas trees.
I tell the plants they're bushes, not trees.
I actually train them to have a fruit canopy, not a plant canopy.
LST, topping & tying down.
They'll be little aggressive round bushes soon. Well, at least that's the plan.
Keep it Green!

It's in seven rows so it's hard to see but I'll see about borrowing a camera.

LST, topping & tying down.
And that's basically it in a nutshell plus I do little super-cropping once they get going Cajun.

I'm exhausted. After chopping about 3 of the smaller plants, I thought I was going to die. I had hoped to have more energy 2months after my heart attack, but such was not to be. I'm still as weak as a baby. Had to have Woody help me with the rest. When I got home that night, all I could do was to rip open the plastic bags to air and turn on the dehumid. and charcoal filter. The next day, I was still so out of it, I told my friend Woobie that I was having heart palpitations for the quilt of not being able to hang the crop, and so he did it for me! What a friend he is! Also have many neighbors volunteering to trim. I am blessed in so many ways!!! After curing, I'll have plenty of meds, both bud and oil, to reach the seriously ill who can't afford to buy their meds. Yes, this is a compassion crop. I hope to have enough time to pay it forward. PM me with any guidance you may have about that.

This is not an offer to sell anything. I do not grow, make, or transport anything for sale. Please don't ask.

:Namaste:

I am glad there are other like minded people here!!!! I don't sell anything either. I will give it to someone in need. I grow for myself and another friend (although, I think we are adding another. A friend with a form of Parkinson's that is similar to ALS,) I would love to be doing things like you an Cajun and helping others that can't do what I have learned to do.

Coming to this site, meeting the people has been a life changing experience for me. I want to pay it forward in anyway I can.

Thank you all for being here!!!!:Namaste: :peace:

And thank you Supergroomer for being here too. If we all pay it forward, life WILL be more grand and it sounds as though you ARE helping like Cajun and Motoco and me and so many others here on this site! We all feel the need...like I've said...it's our Duty, and our Honor.

:Namaste:

Cajun, can you explain what you mean by fruit canopy and plant canopy?

And yeah, I can see a noticeable difference. I think your mix might be a smidge better, eh? :battingeyelashes:

It's a common occurance supergroomer. I came here just intending to do a little grow journal and got enveloped by the community. Before I came here I never really considered cannabis as anything other than something to get high. It's been a life-changing experience for me as well, and like B A R says, you've become neighbor's and family.

It's this community though. This doesn't exist elsewhere, or if it does, I've yet to find it.

Edit: Can't wander off without leaving John a big hug.

:Love::hugs::Love:

You take care of that heart, you hear me? We talked about this. :kisstwo:

As everyone else has stated the people here are just stand alone different :)
It was Cajun who twisted my arm to journal and stay on a bit at 420. Thats a few years back now lol and my life has totally changed due to this community and all its support! Hell me and the missus got our first time away together ever in 13 yrs because of whats happened on this site!
It seems were all pulled in by gravity of likeminded folks. Good finding good and then naturally it builds till were all fit to burst with the want within to pay it on to people in need.
I didn't think like this before but now Im all about Karma and giving freely if I can :) So combined with MJ bringing my girls world back to her my experience has just flipped me the right way and its all to do with the people here :)

Anyway ill slink back to the shadows quietly :)

You??? In the shadows? Only if you are hiding under the limbs of one of those Flux monsters of your!!! :Namaste: :peace:

LA,

As Motoco always says:

"The oil doesn't just heal our illnesses......it makes us WANT to be better people."

Yep!

:Namaste:

Ps. I love you SweetSue.

Oi cajun me ol mate how are ya? It's been sometime since I've had enough time to catch up with all the old members I met when I joined a couple of years ago. To come back and catch up on your journal. To read from the members subscribed. To be honest mate, it made my day. I grow medicine for seriously ill people (myself included) and have not once asked for a cent. I'm at least 30k in the hole on electricity, equipment and genetics.... but who gives a sh*t. When I leave this world I believe I take with me the imprint of my life choices. I intend on that imprint to be one that I hope is an example for someone to be inspired to follow. Oh and nothing wrong with being the Darkhorse mate. Not that I ever pinned you as one ;)

It's long time no see. how is going? Cajuncelt! nice to see ya pics.:goodjob: I'm Jason by the way :circle-of-love:

Cajun, can you explain what you mean by fruit canopy and plant canopy?

A plant canopy is your classic Xmas tree. Natural plant structure for height, life, growth... but not producing as much fruit as possible.
Now turn the triangle the xmas tree forms on its head, 180°.
The pointy end is on the bottom, but now the top (the canopy) is wide & even. Structure to produce the most fruit, not vertical height.
Look at LA's plants. The epitome of a fruit canopy (thanx spell check).

As everyone else has stated the people here are just stand alone different :)

My brother-in-green, when I saw that 1st plant of yours, I knew you had something special & I was right.
Others, hell everyone saw what I saw.
You single handedly changed 420. You did.
It's been my extreme pleasure to watch you become Prof. Flux.

Jaga! You feeling better over there?

It's long time no see. how is going? Cajuncelt! nice to see ya pics.:goodjob: I'm Jason by the way :circle-of-love:

Hey Jason. Recognize the pink light on the right? The Spider with the correct lenses are perfect for seedlings, clones, juveniles. You Twilighters don't mention that. You should. It's gotten me out of a bind now that I'm poor. Lol. True though.

So, I like these autos I'm growing. These strains are the most vigorous autos I've grown. They're preflowering already which I wish was delayed another couple of weeks. But, they've got good height & the laterals are growing out. If they stretch with control, I'll definitely be back on board with autos.

The organic mixes I'm growing in are surprising. I thought things change from the grows at work to my house. Well, the mixes don't. It's weird not feeding them. They're about 2 weeks slower than hydro & salt grows, but worth it.

Hi Cajun... I ordered the essential oils too but could only afford the .5 oz bottles and for all of them it was a bit less than $30... That I can live with.... It should be here tomorrow I hope.... To double check myself it's a total of 1\4 tsp per gallon and not 1/4tsp ea per gallon.... Have I got that right????.....:circle-of-love:
