Cabinet & Tent, Buckets & DWCt, White Widow Max

re: Acers Closet Garden - Cabinet & Tent, Buckets & SH Deep Water Culture unit, White Widow Max

I am slightly concerned about the plant in the rear left. If you notice the a few leaves are curling, this also is my healthiest plant with biggest root structure. The leaf feels healthy. I do have few extra fans in the cabinet for heat and I did have the fans blow directly into the plants because they are very low power. I got a suggestion to move the fan position so it does not directly blow on the plant and so I did.

So what are the temps in your grow, room and resevoir? Good advice not to train fans directly on your plants. Oscillating fans work more like good ole Mom Nature giving em a gentle breeze every few seconds. I have mine just brushing the tops so it stirs the air around the leaves replenishing the CO2 and helping with heat dissipation. It also helps stalks develop so they can take the weight of the bigger buds you will get growing hydro.:wood:

My Cabinet air temp is running 85 to 87 degrees.

My water temp is runs 70 to 73 with the chiller. I could turn that cooler but I haven't seen a need to.

And yes, my fans were directly trained on the plants.

I should look into mini oscilating fans!!

Plants are looking great!!! PICS!!!

I am going to make a change in my grow.

I have met with Sanibel Green and he has been a great help. Down here there is an area called the Thousand Islands!!! Even though his island and my island are not the same...it was nice to hook up and see his set up. He is a stand up guy and it turns out we know alot of the same people.....Small World!!!

I will be started another journal with a tent. I will be keeping two plants in my cabinet...
As you can see. They are really growing fast and there is no way 5 plants will fit together in this small small space.
Also... I need to grow enough meds for myself and my wife so... I need to step up my grow a bit. I have the means... Why the F not!!!

You can also see that my leaves have stopped curling. I trained the fans directly away from the plants.
With the door shut I am sure this creats a good circular air flow without directly hitting the plants.
The book is a great bookshelf and also provide motivational material for the Girls when they get tire of Growing so Fast!!!

I do have a question.

I planned topping all the plants.... The plants will be moved to thier final destinations this comming friday.

Should I top the plants now? I was very tempted to do it this am but thought I should ask you guys first.

I also have another question...

My roots are starting to grow together...
Should I be concerned this comming Friday when they will be really grown together?
Should I try to keep the roots separated now?

My PH is at 6.2
I am 650 PPM
Water temp is 70

I order the homegrown CO2 boost. I figure with my high temps it can't hurt. It is very reasonably priced. Dr Dan uses it too!! I figure if it works it will be worth it.

If I don't hear from anyone today about topping my plants.....Their tops will come off 5 pm est!!!

Go ahead and top. :) Did you read this? Topping & Fimming

Not much you can do to keep the roots seperated, but I have seen people cut them apart to move them when the had to. Seemed to work OK when they are still young and veggin'. Hope this helps a little.

Totally agree with Green on this one. If I do any topping, it is no less than 5 days before flowering. I find it does not cause them to slow the process of transition to flowering with in that range. I have topped 4 days before flowering and noticed a 3 day difference in when flowers appeared vs those that were topped 5 days or more before flowering. If you haven't guessed by now, I like to experiment.:grinjoint:

I have used aeroponic units with the same result of merging roots. I did the best I could to seperate them when I realized 6 plants in the tub was way too much. I was not in flower yet and I did have to cut some roots away. I just made sure I added some Hygrozyme to the res. to take care of any dead root matter resulting from the move. I did not notice any ill effects and my plants put on another 1 1/2 inches in growth the next day.

Keep up the nice work on the ladies. They will love you for it.:bravo:

Did you decide to top? How did it go?

Hey Green007!!

Yes and no!!
:MoreNutes:
I topped 2 plants that I plan on leaving in the cabinet.

I left the other 3 alone because they will be alowed to get much bigger.
I will be getting a grow tent that will alow them over 5 feet growth.

I cannot wait!!!

Does that 5 feet take in account the room needed for lights? Give us a pic as soon as possible, please.

Ok. The tent is 80 inches high. I believe with the lights I will get aroundor a little over 5 feet of grow height in the tent.

I have seen SG's grow and how he filled his tent with those beautiful Pineapple Chunk plants.
I have duplicated his set up. The only difference is he has a 4x4 and I am getting the 3x3.

As soon as I can get pics I will get to you.

Thanks,

Ok.....As I was giving my ladies their daily water. Because they have been very thirsty lately. I couldn't help it!!!

It was very tramatic. I had to take a big bong hit to calm down!!! Whew!! Thats better.

Here are the pics............

I am over over a week away from the 12/12.

On the right rear plant I was a little agressive and took an extra node off. My mistake. I was in the heat of the moment!!
