yah the tricked i learned to growing with CFLs, to have decent bud, is to keep em small in height... and stems that are at the bottom, i clone or chop so it can focus more... with a 400w HPS this would not be an issue
Yeah, I was noticing the other day while looking at the underbud on my 400 and said Hey, it's light down here!
I believe the tech term is light penetration. With cfl's you have to surround them like the Indians at Custer's Last Stand!

those two coming out of 12/12 from seed make this pic ugly... hope they sprout 7 finger leaves soon and veg the f out

yah... ill post some pics of the recovering guys...
i noticed that i can put a clipping into rockwool and actually take the feeder tube into the rockwool... sticking it in half way... this way i can actually feed them and control water flow... essential.. these are actually coming along rather quickly... since they are not under humidity domes and proper temps/humdity, they ofcourse suffer a lot... but once they grow new leaves, they take off...

I think your getting that camera thing down too! Let's just say I don't usually get this kind of detail. I can count root hairs! I see rootage starting! It won't be long now! Might want to slow that stream down if you can and make them want it more.

excellent idea Chief.. its been in the back of my head, but i never do something that isn't advised(that way i cant blame myself), but i think that will make em want that water below more. now they seem happy... btw they are getting 250ppm... pure flora nova grow... they love it, it seems, no signs of nute damage...
That sounds about right on the ppm. They have roots just not a lot so they get a little.
