pretty fast growth for CFLs. im noticing not only an inch of growth a day but all the shoots are popping up twice as fast it seems
C5R, How did you get your water to 0 ppm ? I'm thinking of getting an RO unit as my tap water is around 580 ppm ! and ph 7 ..Pretty crappy huh ? No wonder I keep having ph problems .

yah that would be your problem.. thats easy to fix with a little money...
I have this
the top part only hooked to a 2.5 gal res... all from homdepot for 110$.. pretty cheap compared to a reverse osmosis filter... comes with a free TDS meter too... its pretty good too. filter with your high tap will probably last a year or more easily if you just use it for the Deep Water Culture. although, the water does taste great

im thinkin about just putting the clone struggling in soil and seeing if it makes it... so I can increase the ppm

yah, i just pulled it out... had plenty of roots coming threw the rockwool, so i buried it in some soil... i got 8 clones in soil so far getting ready for my next attempt...
i raised the the ppm from 470 to 580... all have roots in the water now..

this makes 10 plants total this time around, had 4 last time...I like having more

the feeder tubes are not in the other res...thats what i was referring to.. Yes it is still running off the feeder tubes, the pump is in there.. Its hard to see cause Flora Nova nutes are so dark..
Man, that is dark, what a trip!
