Mine didn't have any color, but I probably didn't have very cool temps either. I bet it's hard to produce indoors. And remember, that's Buddha Haze x Blue Blood. Blue Blood is Blueberry x OG if I remember right. :hmmm:

Do you think it will kill the Russets??? Ive been battling them in my yard grow and I dont want them in the tent. I know the bud washing will help to wash them off but will it kill them???
Dont follow Pigeons 420 utube video on bud washing. It was 1 cup bsoda per gallon with only one rinse bucket. I had bsoda residue last time. 1 cup per 5 gal bsoda sounds better with the two washes.
Hey doc it says 3 to 1 and 3%??? 3 to 1 would be 30%??? I'd say 3% would be like 1 cup per 5 gal??? Also Im guessing the h2o2 is reg. ole hydrogen peroxide from rite aid???? I was also reading where a Co Co medium is better than soil to deter Russets???
I really noticed the batches I let drain on an old sheet on the back grass before hang was better than letting them drip.
The Russets are evil.
Thanks doc, 420 mag and great day!

I know the wash killed almost everything I ran into in bucket #1 and surely by bucket #2 it was "scorched earth". I had a terrible problem with pests in my new growing area and used Safer Insect Soap and Monterey BT to pretty much manage the pests in my 2nd grow this summer. You pair the sprays with the wash and its magic.

Budwashing: There's no need to re-invent the recipe or the process. 1/2 cup of each in 5 gallons......two rinse buckets. Done.

3:1 on the 3%.

No residue, no damage to trichomes....just clean bud.

Sorry doc bud to intrude bud but how lemon juice concentrate per 5 gallon jug ?

I thought I heard in hear it's good to do lemon juice and baking soda in ro or ph ed dechrolined h20 have a screen shot somewhere of percentage. But I guess rather hear it directly to cross I s and t s kinda thing .

He said a 1/2cup each in 5 gal. A few pages back
Well I just lost 2 days reading this but I'm sold on it gonna be chopping in the next week or so if these bitches hurry up last 2 months a breeze last 2 weeks seem like 2 years

When I washed I laid the buds on a old sheet in the back yard to drain then hung. This was the best part of it. Much better than washing and hanging which I did also. If I wash again Im not exactly sure the mixture I will use but Pigeon 420mags utube video had me use Baking Soda and I think I wont do that. Residue. Hydrogen Peroxide? Wow! Ewww, I wonder how good the peroxide is for mites??? I made my own green cleaner my friends, 2oz ISO to 1 gal water. It works!!!! Russetmotherfuckingmites might have me washing this grow too. I hope I can keep them out of my tent. Great weekend my friends.

Residue from H2o2 is H2o - that is 100% - the extra atom of o is spun off and attaches to things like dirt and mites. You can use if for mouth wash even says on the label! Just sayin....gets rid of mites between your teeth so I've herd. It works.

I wrote down doc Buds mix and method. 1/2 cup sounds right/better. Pidgeons 420 mag utube video said 1 cup per gal. Im using buckets instead of plastic bins this time. And I only had one rinse with Pidgeons method. No wonder my first wash last year had Bsoda residue it was 4 cups baking soda to 5 gal water with one rinse. I did 3 washes and the last was like 1 cup soda to the 5 gal bucket and was good.
Also to you veterans, I read where the Russets go from one year to the next by a hibernating female. Its not the eggs that hatch in the spring??? Its from a fem laying a new egg?? Im guessing the eggs have a incubation period and hatch regardless of when laid? If the eggs dont winter over and it is the females hatching new ones that keep them going they will be easier to control. Im trying to learn all I can with these bastards.
Also you veterans, dude at the grow shop said cure in a turkey bag. So I hang till the lil stems snap but big ones are still bendy. I turkey bag them with a humidity meter. I open and shake the bag daily. When the meter reads a steady 60 deg they get jarred. I couldent have better cured medicine. Way easier to shake 4lbs product in 4 turkey bags than burping 5 cases jars.
Great Day 420!

You can also snap a twig off a neem tree and use it for a toothbrush and rub off those pesky mites.

I'm glad you have a good plan after a bad first experience. I been using 'less than a cup' of both baking soda and lemon juice/lime juice. I'll now go down to a half cup.

I wish you the best of success in your future bud washings.

Hey Bob Brown mites between the teeth?? How about scoping the Russets and then having white rice for dinner!!! Mind over matter!! A few times Ive thought I should of made potatoes!!!
Time to get high Mr.Brown!! Too much fun!!
:passitleft:

Mites suck.... if you don't have them its only a matter of time until you do.

Why we do IPM routines to keep them at bay. Most mites I'm familiar with HATE wind. Russet mites are no different. They don't like rain either. So fans and foiler spray constantly will keep them away. Don't let your guard down, they always come back.

Aphids are even worse tho, they are hard to wash off even after they are dead. They poop out sugary crap and that makes the dead bodies stick to the plants and if they aren't stuck they are attached at the mouth. Last plant I had aphids on went to the garbage pail after I did the bud wash. Was useless against aphids for me.

Mites can be gotten rid of with an IPM 2-3 days apart sprayed for 2 weeks then weekly IPM to end of harvest. Then bud wash.

My IPM recipe for mite infection:

2-3tbs Monterrey Insect spray with Spinosad - organic bacteria
1 tsp of Pro-Tekt - silicone solution helps with plants immune system and builds stronger cell walls (thicker stems)
1-2 tbs of Garden Safe Neem Oil Extract Concentrate - neem oil and other goodies that kill mites by suffocation.
3-4 tbs of kelp meal tea - home made (soak kelp meal @ 1/2 cup per quart in mason jar and strain (not required but beneficial)
1/2 cup of Horsetail fern tea - home made (hand full of horse tail ferns fresh or dried to a quart mason jar add boiling water steep and let cool)
Horsetail fern tea is a remedy for PM/Mold?mold spores - use in VEG and no more PM/mold in flowers.

All of the above into 1 to 1.5 gal of filtered water and spray on the plants - with the neem I spray about an hour before lights out and completely drench plants top and bottoms of all leaves, stems soil surrounding surfaces walls floor pots everything.

Then 2-3 days later do it again - fresh mix to spray every time. This must be repeated 2-3 times a week for at lest 2 weeks. Mites have a multi faceted life cycle and we need to kill adults and eggs and larvae, doesn't happen all at once.

I'm an organic farmer and this is what I use with good effect.

Mites always come back sooner or later and I've not had PM since I started with the Horsetail fern teas.

I told my trim buddy yes were washing again this year but doing it right this time. I need to go get some h202 today. Im starting a selective harvest tomorrow im thinking on the ones cloudy to a lil Amber. The big Colas. Before I get ripped off too. That would suck.

B. Brown, thanks for your regiment. Thanks for everyones help!! I bought some D. Earth flour and paint brushed the Pergutorys yesterday and will go scope some tops to see the difference today. The D.Earth is good for people and digestive and arthritis?? Im contacting my Rhumey and seeing what she says. I figure maybe a soil top dressing after planting too. I read to paint the stock with Neem occasionally and I like that in theory. Ive never had soil pests that I know of. I cant see these Russets crawling too far but up the stock to the plant I can see.
Heres what my regiments going to be as of right now Im thinking..... Weekly home made ISO washes with two different essentials once every two weeks. Ive got Rosemary, Clove, Peppermint, Hot Pepper/Garlic/Tobacco to alternate. Also a monthly Aza drench. Some D.Earth sprinkled monthly too probably.
Jorge Servantes has a russet utube video also that I might add if needed. My yard grows quite nice inspite of the Russets! Pics this weekend. Great Day 420!!

Just chopped an outdoor experiment... washed with H2O2 and then rinsed twice... now in the dehydrator...

In the dehydrator? That thing will dry fast will it not? A bit too fast i reckon. Let us know how it turns out tho and if it still smells after curing. That my main problem - not much smell after curing although i dry for 7-10 days. Nice smell in the grinder though.
