Almost exactly the same for me Buck. I got a handblown beaker-style Tim Horton bubbler and an electric nail and "good" concentrates are almost the perfect conveyance for me. I smoked a spliff with my Dad last summer. I grabbed it eagerly, but man...it was knarly. It was also our wake n bake so I was pretty raw, but it also tasted like shit. Familiar, but still shit. The familiarity made it bearable...that and the fact we got REALLY high on some original Apollo-13.

edit One more thing, it's been shown that vaporizing high-quality cannabis resin actually has a benefitial impact on the cilia in your lungs, contrary to what most have been led to believe for a few decades. ;)

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I still appreciate the convenient packaging, but smoking joints is harsh! I don't like it. It's funny you mentioned the nostalgia. I hadn't realized that, but it does bring back memories of the 'old days'. :) I still hate the taste of the paper.

I didn't know about that last part. Do you have a link to a study?
I'm gonna have to get to making some tasty extracts like Buckshot :thumb:

Some extracts made from fresh frozen produce are the best cannabis products I've ever had. The flavors are distinct and complex. Many more terpenes are still resident and it reflects in the flavors. Bad ones can really taste horrible though.

no ... then yes ... then no. I do not have the hang of it yet. It can bubble up just like the vid and deliver a serious hit but it can also "drown" in oil and become totally useless. I just cleaned it out and got it torching red hot again. I know it can deliver I just have to figure out how to get it to do it reliably.
 
Those pens are pretty cool. But there's nothing like a big ole' dab before going out in public :) No need for a pen then, I never remember I have the pen in my pocket anyway hahaha

I feel much the same and will avoid the public, thus it is like having a headache and not being able to take aspirin till you go home :hmmm:

I got a tiny rig cause I like them small and cost... but... since I have been looking at all kinds of glass. Any bong can be converted by using a "quartz castle" and wham! you are rip'in :cheesygrinsmiley: 30-40 bucks
 
great idea im gonna sneak into the head shop this morning and see if I can find something :thumb:
only reason im saying that is ive tried a friends bubbler rig and the hit I got off it was a lot better than the pen I have
although for a portable it really isn't bad at all but I use it mostly at home so would be nice to get bigger hits so I don't have to take as much hits im sure you know what I mean

I must be gettin old here, I love to sit down and roll up a nice fatty and kick back. Organic cannabis has a very smooth taste and the papers I switched to (I think they are rice papers) so they are not harsh and don't have any "flavor" so all I can taste is the weed.

Elements is the paper of choice for me - I like the Elements Aficionado King Size Slim Ultra Rolling Papers, I think they are like 1.5 and longer than a regular so I can roll me a nice spliff and danky dank on it for a good 45 minutes, puff puff give give.....No taste other than the weed, by far the best tasting papers I've ever used. Saw them on a TV show about all the Spanish kids hanging out un-employed and smoking weed in the public squares in Spain! I saw those papers in use and said hey whats that.... started using them but not with the paper holder.

If we were in the same room I would have been able to tell you were joking. I don't care for the joke though. It is one of the stigma's about cannabis I take the most offense against. Through the grace of God I have been given the ability to excel in whatever learning situation I am put in. When some folks find out I use "pot" that all goes out the fucking window. No matter what my abilities are, in their eyes I become "a pothead". Every time that happens to me it drives home the ignorance that surrounds cannabis and it has taken to actually pissing me off.

I know you did not know it was a bees nest when you hit it with the "pothead" stick :cheesygrinsmiley:

yea maybe it was true lol but I seen clean cut people do worse and people based that certain
stereotype based on what you look like
like when they find out you smoke I went back to school when I was 30 had a 3.74 final gpa and did it mostly stoned lol
my old neighbor knew I smoked and I told him I did that stoned he assumes I would do better if I wasn't stoned
but how can you really tell maybe I think better like that "shrug"
but I get it with the stereotyping

I'm past worrying about what others think of me for the most part, and tend to care more about what my family and friends think, including my 420 friends here. I've been smoking pot for a very long time and pretty much everyone that meets me or knows me gets that and I've never been labeled as such. A good father, a good husband or a good friend are the labels I strive for in myself and definitely try to avoid labeling others and keep an open mind.

That is very cool. Thank you for your post. We need more folks like you.

I am just super sensitive on the subject. I am explaining further through posts on "Dismissed". For me being labeled started in high school, followed me through years in the military and still threatens to this very day. It has been defused somewhat with the acceptance of medical marijuana. I think another reason I am sensitive is that there ARE potheads. To me potheads are to marijuana as alcoholics are to booze. I am sorry for those folks and am proud to have escaped being among their ranks.
