Thanks folks

Good morning weed Buck. That is one juicy looking bud. If it's not finishing may be it's just waiting to be chopped to finish. I see a few amber's in there. Nice and frosty. Take part of a bud and dry it to see if the essence is there.

:cheesygrinsmiley:

I am sorry you do, shit happens

:
It's all good Buck.

Trichs galore! A lot of amber starting to show... Other than that not much input here.

The plant in your photographs does have amber trichomes and is just beginning to Foxtail, I believe that when the percentage of amber trichomes is close to your desired maturity you may harvest at anytime now. I harvest my cannabis plants by trichome maturity. You need a 30x jewelers loupe to see the trichomes and judge when to harvest. Most people harvest from 5%-30% amber trichomes. Harvest at 5%-15% amber trichomes for a "head high" energetic effect and harvest at 30%-50% amber trichomes for a "body stone" sedative effect strain dependent.

I've grown a few that looked like they were done and then started foxtailing like that. I'd let it go until those get brown if it was me. But keep in mind you're talking to a chimp that started up the smoker this morning to smoke a pork shoulder and has so much confidence in his own skills and judgement that he put a pitchfork next to the smoker and made sure there was nothing in between the smoker and the neighbor's pool if I go to check it and it's flaming like so many of my outdoor cooking adventures Ima spear it and it's gonna be between a Scottish log toss and a javelin throw but it's getting put out I usually yell "Meteor!!!!" if the kids are in the pool when it's hamburgers but this thing is big enough it's gonna sound like death from the sky they'll hear it :)

I'd like to think you're right even when you're wrong Chimp...

:high-five: Very nice Buck.

I think it's interesting how you can see some pictures and there will be cloudy trichs with NO amber and in another pic there will be plenty of amber yet still some clear. I say that because in your pic I see a nice speckle of amber and a few clear, but in another journal this morning, I saw a similar pic where they were all cloudy, but no definitively amber ones.

Me...I like'em all. :peace:

I have a few seeded buds that are now dry, I guess I could smoke some but it was taken a while ago. I know "the essence" is there from the smell. I am just totally gun shy as there was bud rot in the room...

:cheesygrinsmiley: that is plenty!!

Thanks for all the information... can you not see well enough from these images? I have two more tubes to get even closer!! :cheesygrinsmiley:

OK, I will let it go.

I hope you are making the cartoons even if you are not posting them. (I already have three variations in my head!)

fukinay PC...I'd party with you bro. Sounds like a play right out of my playbook. :thumb:

That's my advice, too. But I always let mine run til the bitter end. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The way I see it: If it's still producing calyxes at this age, they'll be especially trich-coated, and those fresh new sparkling clear trichs will outnumber the ones that are decaying to amber on the older leaves and calyxes. The plant in your pic is definitely making new trichs faster than the old ones are ambering. In my grows, I would expect that plant to stall again in 10-14 days, and I'd plan to take it then.

Never looked at it that way. Makes a lot if sense Gray...

I've grown them before when they get a foxtail burst & it's increased the yield by 20% or so. I think you're doing right by carrying on & when it stops foxtailing you should flush, ready for the chop :)

ps they look yummy :)

See how bad I am? I'm wrong even when I'm right! :)

Those Thai sticks are excellent looking. Where'd you get the pics?

I took them :cheesygrinsmiley:. We are not far enough along in "Dismissed" to get to the wild parts yet. Those Thai sticks were absolutely, without a doubt, the most powerful cannabis I have smoked to this day. I laugh when I hear IDIOTS in the media talking about how "powerful" and bla bla bla the cannabis is these days... I call bullshit... there is a seed company that claims to have this strain (if there is a sponsor reading who has this pm me)

Here is what the seed company say's

"Thai Stick was one of the most famous thai sativas imported into North America during the 70s and the 80s. These imported powerful and appreciated sativa flowers came from Thailand compactly packed in small stems of cannabis. Such was the potency of those Thai Sticks that smokers believed that they were bathed in hashish or opium. We exclusively offer you this much loved sativa that has been practically extinct in the usual cannabis-growers environment over the last decades. The seeds come directly from thai growers."

One hit...only one hit, seriously, would put most anyone that tried it slack jawed and mumbling, totally fucked up.

I'd like to think you're right even when you're wrong Chimp...

That is why I asked. Most times I don't look at the trichomes. I wait till the buds are "done" like pine cones. This one just keeps going like the energizer bunny and has started to "ripen" :cheesygrinsmiley:

Cool, I suspected a week or two if I was gonna leave it, thanks

Cool enough.... I wait

Standing room only with the trichomes man that looks good

Funny how one changes their mind... or looses it

I once said of S Girl

"Very tasty!! very. I can't even describe it. Early buds had a pine aftertaste but the finished product has a deep hash flavor with no pine at all. While I am pleased with the flavor I am more pleased that even seeded its medicinal strength is still there. "

Now I will smoke anything I have until I have to smoke it :cheesygrinsmiley:
