Strain Name: Bubba Kush

From: Trinity Gardens Collective

When: Jan 2010

Grade: B+

Type: Indica

Price: Sample Nug and $190/half oz

Looks: Light green frost covered bud with LONG red hairs.

Smell: Fresh pine/citrus scent.

Taste: A smooth smoking bud with a somewhat sharp/crisp pine flavor.

Buzz Type: The sample bud provided a nice full indica body high after a couple of hits.

Buzz Length: Medium – the body stone lasted for about 1.5 hours - and then gently faded.

Best Medicinal Use: Body relaxation and joint pain

Overall: This was another sample nug from the dispensary I shop at - one of the benefits of being a “regular” and also being friendly/courteous when there. This was a good representative of Kush strains - frosty, tasty, body numbing/relaxing buds. Ended up going back for more.

Strain Name: Bubba Kush

From: Caregiver

When: April 2011

Grade: A

Type: Indica

Price: Free Sample

Looks: Dense medium to light green nugs covered in frost and bright orange hairs

Smell: Sweet and fresh

Taste: Similar to the smell — a sweet flavored fresh Cannabis smoke

Buzz Type: Indica body stone

Buzz Length: 2 hours +/-

Best Medicinal Use: General muscle tension/pain relief

Overall: This was a great batch of Bubba Kush from the same grower/caregiver that provided a SLH sample as well (you can tell which one by the manicuring — seems a "signature" for growers). While I think some growers just call any indica they are unsure of "Bubba," this grower has had this lineage for years...and even bred his own variety last year (Purple Bubba Kush). Bubba Kush is another great strain that should be considered as an alternative to your "favorite indica" for general body aches and pains, and is available year round in Northern California.
