Breaking Brix: Buck's DIYs

Hey amazing info on the boards and gorgeous frosty plants buck! I just ordered an hlg 300 which has two 288 boards. It claims to use 285 watts and cover an 3x3 flower tent. Think I should run it at 100% or less?
That should do great in 3x3, may want to start at 50% then slowly bump up, see how the girls react. That way shouldn't be too much stress, plus save on electric

Thanks Grey. I think clobber should follow your advice on those boards. Personally I like more boards lower wattage. Better coverage that way.

Thanks J, these girls have been easy so far in flower, I got a sativa that's been picky, I can't get her dialed back in yet. I'll get some pics of her, she's impressive, huge colas

Looks like if I get nine boards I will have to get 3 drivers. Almost got away with 2, but it looks like I gotta run them at around 80w's. I don't want to run them at full blast. Have to wait till the first to order if I'm getting 9 panels. Most of this should be coming between tomorrow and next tuesday. Then another photo of what's coming after that.

don't know why they are blurry. How do I delete photos in my album? Did this twice and they look the same. Now I want to edit it so people can actually read it. Hold on. How do I delete a post?

on pics yet, I'm just learning too. Materials add up quick, but if you get good stuff in beginning it'll last very long time, get great ROI. Shiggs used the sunboards, 6 panels and 2 660 far red kits 4 ft long. It was a little over 600 watts. I'm not to sure on these boards you guys are designing, haven't looked into yet. But Greytail knows and will steer ya in right direction. I need to look into getting some made this summer. Swap out all my cobs :Namaste: :passitleft:

I'm in process of changing a 5x5x8 ft over from hps to cobs. Materials = 10 vero29 v7 4000k, 14 vero29 v7 3500k, passive heatsinks, 6 meanwell drivers hlg 240h c1400b. The drivers and potentiometers will be mounted externally. Here's a couple pics of current grow waiting to finish. As soon as most are done will be hanging the new lights.

Is it possible to get a material list of parts you used. lights, drivers pots, panel mount meter, etc. i am looking at going cob in the future and so far really like your setup.

Anything would help.

Yea, I can get some list up, I'll try and get made up

My bad... upon closer inspection of your list I see you'll be Hydro....
Damn. I got fired from it being a nice list lol. I was hydro. Now I am kinda hydro moving to drip with runoff going back into tank. Basically since I do not have the cash to set up the drip, It will just be top feeding with coco mixed with perlite. I need a hundred bucks even to get to that point. Not sure what it's going to look like yet at first.

LOL, no no... I just meant never mind about the 7gal pots... Still a great list, sounds like it'll be interesting for sure. Please be sure to drop a link when you get started!
