She's holding up well. So purpley!I'd say you've got a couple of days left on the Blueberry...looks perkier than most of mine at harvest!

Aren't you sweet Happy belated you you and yours! We were managing a refrigerator fail and I didn't get a chance to be here as much as I like. I did manage to observe the holiday!I missed you yesterday Otter, so I wish you and Mrs O a belated happy 420
All good. Our daughter and her man live downstairs so we bagged up the good and filled theirs for a couple of days. I did lob solidly frozen stuff in a cooler chock full. That kept frozen for the duration.Oh no, I hope you didn't have frozen goods defrosting! Fridge fails are a giant pita. You did get to celebrate though, so that's good
Hi Jon, thanks, that color! Someone called it bronz. With purple! Woofa! She's in her last week! It's been years since I had blueberry in the house!I love the color on the blueberry hill. Dynamite grow!
U Mass’s suggestions…lol. Must be nice.SUNDAY SOIL COOK UPDATE
Good Sunday morning all! The soil amend is doing fine as far as I can tell. One way I look in on it is to take its temperature. A freshly amended soil will run hot for a week + if it's wet down properly and the room temp is above a certain temp. That temp I don't know but folks have a tough time getting a good cook in winter. I toy with the idea of an electric blanket for humans wrapped around my barrel for a cold weather cook. Anyway, After just a couple of days you can see the temp is +7 degrees. I'm happy with that! I'd say my cellar temp is 71f these days.
BTW, after considering the soil test results and U Mass's suggestion to add more lime I did just that. This time I added an extra cup of ground dolomite lime. I'm hoping for balance.
Right!? Yeah they give a suggestion, for what crop you tell them you're using the soil for, for how much lime to use. It's standard with a soil test. I think it brings a balance to things. I told them cannabis. They came back with tomatoes as similar.U Mass’s suggestions…lol. Must be nice.
Interesting. If I were to attempt a vegetable tent grow using pot nutes and coco I’d try it with . I’ve been considering doing just that.Right!? I've heard folks say tomatoes get grown like weed so I grow it next to my outdoor weed exactly on schedule with it. Well kind of. When I see lots of tomato bud sets I go over to flowering nutes. 3 seasons now, I'm happy with it. My kid, who starts them and gives them to me get jealous of their growth!Interesting. Oh that’s cool as hell. So you feed the tomatoes the same nutes you feed weed and switch to bloom nutes when the bud tomatoes form? That’s it? Wow. Any difference in taste? How about size? Production? Very cool SO.I've heard folks say tomatoes get grown like weed so I grow it next to my outdoor weed exactly on schedule with it. Well kind of. My vines grow like crazy and produce the tastiest fruit! So far it's been @GeoFlora Nutrients all the way to keep LOS. I start em in Fox Farm Ocean forest.Oh that’s cool as hell. I've noted this. I am still dithering about my soil. I will do what I said and grow one in the one soil, and one in the other to compare, but I am worried about a repeat performance with the one soil eating my sprouts. I can get a starter mix. You saying this has cemented it in my mind. Thanks for the helpful details.I also use 1/3 fox farm starter soil mixed with my LOS that eats seeds at 100%.
Just for the start. When they get to the first pot up they go right in full strength LOS.I've noted this. I am still dithering about my soil.
