Boptang Fems Test Run

Alright it has been a hot minute since any updates. Lot's going on. I have 2 4x4's on day 43 now. Gonna chop on the first. 11 plants total Boptang fems. Then I have 5 Blackcherrybop on day 21 with Sundae Driver, GMO. Trop Cookies, and The White. Did not get pics of that tent. Will next time. Then we have 16 Boptidos (Boptang x Dosidos), 6 GG4 x Boptang, and 6 Mimosa x Boptang vegging. Also 6 Blackcherrybop and 6 Boptang fems in 2 gallon pots getting ready to transplant and flip. Chopping a 5x5 in 4 days so alot of much needed space will open up. My plan is to transplant the 16 Boptidos to 1 gallon pots in a few days. Veg for 30 days. Transplant to 2 gallon pots take clones and flip. Wanna see how that method works to do pheno hunts in a 4x4. Figure 16 females is a good number to look at. The equivalent of popping 3 or 4 whole packs of regs. Thanks for stopping by everybody. On to the pics.

Not been keeping a journal on this one but just flipped one of the fem boptang seeds I kept back in veg.

Also got 3 bop x bcp just starting to pop out the soil.

Quick update on the new beans popped. I have 13 Dosidos x Boptang, 6 Mimosa x Boptang, and 6 GG4 x Boptang going good. I killed 3 of the Dosi x , because they looked a little runty. I have a 4x4 with 5 Blackcherrybop and 4 clones, The White S1, Sundae Driver, GMO, and Tropicana Cookies. The clones grew a bit taller as you can see in the pic. They are on day 28. Then I have my 5x5 I just reloaded with 1 Boptang fem, 5 Blackcherrybop, 1 White S1, 1 GMO, 1 Sundae Driver, and 1 Trop Cookies. After these grows are through I will ideally only run clones with clones and seeds with seeds. The clones made an appearance on this journal just, because we ran into a mishap and had to keep the tents full. Also popped another 16 GG4 x Bop, and 6 Mimosa x Bop. That gives 22 of the GG4x, 12 Mimosax, and 13 Dosix to look for keepers. I wanna backcross the Dosi, Mimosa, and GG4 keepers back to the mom's, as well as reversing my Grape Pie to the Sundae Driver, by the end of 2020. That will give me 4 backcross strains to work with. My plan is to start backrossing a bunch of clones to try and make more stable versions of them for later breeding projects. Hopefully I can work the plan.

A lot is going on over here as always! How you keep track of everything bud IDK! I am sure you know this already, but just try and make sure you use plants as similar to the mom's as possible for the Back crosses. It will make it easier as you progress to get to where you want to be.

Thanks! I honestly keep track of everything in my head. The only thing I write down is days I flip tents, I mark that on a calendar. And for sure on backcross selections. Mainly why I chose these 4 to start. Selecting away from the Boptang will be a breeze to me at this point. GG4 and Dosi are way more gassy and not fruity, so that will be fairly easy. The Mimosa should not prove too difficult either. Smells are more similar, but I could pick either out very easily, plus bud structure is way different. Good thing is I am a chef by trade and I almost never cook with recipes. I rely on taste and smell. I can find a similar pheno like a bllodhound.

I actually have Grape Pie not Wedding Pie. I got her and Gelato 47 (Mochi) from a friend maybe 4 months ago. His baby mamma was threatening to call the laws and he needed a grow room broken down and plants moved. So I showed up in a big box truck and we loaded up. He gave me those clones and a pack of Tropicana Punch seeds for the favor. Here is a Grape Pie pic.

I do not know why I read that as wedding Pie lol. I remember you talking about the event. i forgot what you ended up with out of that other than the Blueberry. I have not heard much about the Gelato 47. It seems like 33 and 41 i think it is that I see being used the most. I grew out a Dolato from In House that was alright but it was not as nice as the Slurricane. I have some Gorilla Dosha freebies I got but the few I have tried to germ have not made it.

Yeah he has the Gelato 41 also. It stacks much better. The Mochi stacks like a cookie (it doesn't, lol) basically your spaced out kush balls. That being said the Mochi is shitting on the 41 as far as frost goes. I am gonna flower it out in 11 days for the first time. I did just pull 60 grams on my Dosidos in a 2 gallon pot. I just topped it once and staked her. Does not stack at all ,but super dense, and honestly some of the frostiest stuff I have ever grown. This is the Dosi I just chopped, and mom to the Dosi x Boptang.

That looks very nice! I have grown a few things that do not really stack but have super dense golf ball buds buds. They tend to yield fairly well for me surprisingly. It will be nice to see what your Mochi does for you. I have a few cookie varieties I just started. We will see how it goes.

Transplanted 2 of the Dosi and 2 of the GG into the final pots. One of the GG didn't fair so well, the other borderline .
This has nothing to do with the genetics, I believe it was the Jiffy pellets I used up.

The 2 Dosi are coming on strong in rapid rioters. I threw a mimosa seed into the pot the GG was in. We will see what it does as I didnt bother to soak or anything.

Whatever happens we will have at least 2 Dosi this run. Not too concerned as I intend to scrog them anyway and can still fill the tent.

Once they start to get ahold of the soil, I will start a journal with updates here as well.

Good deal OL. Don't be afraid to pop more beans if need be. I just popped another 16 of these GG4 x Bop. This was 4 days since germ, and you can see the tails go fast on this one.
