Boomer444's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

Re: Hozona's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

OOPS!:thedoubletake: Have been at the hospital most of the day. When I returned home I went outside to tend the girls (not much to do but inspect, they are on drip) I found a bud that had mold. Removed it, washed my hands, and went to have a closer look. I think I got lucky and caught it today...tomorrow I could have lost much more. The plant affected by this was my storm damaged clone that has the most buds. (the one on the left) I am a bit frazzled after all that hospital 2 step so I didn't get a picture. Ruined about a third of the bud. I thank all the fine info and instructional videos out there for making me aware of this problem, especially "Blue" in the documentary The Green Rush. It would have gone on longer if I hadn't recognized it from the video.

Re: Hozona's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

sucks about the mold! but you caught it! just keep a sharp eye out! i hate the hospital,er,dr office i get very agitated ,sadly i have spent far to much time there the last few yrs, i am grateful my gf got me a galaxy tab to kill some of those long hours, that and my psp are lifesavers! the clone is a lil' beast!:goodjob: are you in the valley?
To answer your question, I'm in Mesa...and yes she is a beast:slide: Outside I thoroughly inspected the plants when I found the mold and found no more indications that mold was present anywhere else on the plant. My LST outdoors is budding hard and is definitely a sativa plant. I know the production of that one plant is going to be massive:woohoo:

Re: Hozona's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

what are u using for soil? im thinking i could mix some of mine for you and let you try it, i been working on my mix for a year now, not quite high brix but getting close my wwxbb is the most impressive smell and health wise i have done yet u use bpn organics right?
Good old dirt and potting soil this year. Next year will be going to the Fox Farm soil for OBVIOUS reasons. I just started the BP bloom enhancer a month ago and am still using up my (GH Maxibloom nutes with the BP bloom enhancer mix)...gone after this grow and then BPN will be my nutes of choice.

Re: Hozona's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

in my journal i did some soil mixin vids im not sure what page but if you copy my recipe its working really good for me in conjunction with bpn 7 part organic line, fantastic stuff:thumb: also have you thought about using coco coir seriously awesome with the organics or reg nutes coco will give you a hydro type speed and size growth but you can treat it like soil especially with the organic stuff,,food for thought, the girls look great:goodjob:

Re: Hozona's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

By the way, I harvested a couple sucker branches off the bottom of the best of my two storm damaged clones (left side) a couple of days ago...they dried really fast and without more than a days curing the flavor and total body high is freaking AMAZING :tokin: I am pretty proud of this cross I did 2 years ago and have generations 4, 5, and 6 going at the present time....These are better than ANYTHING I ever picked up at the compassion club. God, thank you for this wonderful plant! :ganjamon:

What a difference the reflective film and extra light makes! I have topped and topped until there are terminal nodes everywhere! Looking forward to mid November to see what kind of yield I get from this one plant, time will tell :slide: I went to 12/12 schedule today and will be flushing nutes and switching to BPN bloom formulas later today or tomorrow. Have to build my grid yet and haven't had time to get to home depot. More pictures to come when that has been set up.:peace:

Re: Hozona's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

Got over my "couch lock" and went to the home depot and picked up supplies for my SOG screen
SOG_supplies.JPG

8 precut 24" X 1/2" PVC, 4 end caps, 4 corners, #18 nylon cord, measuring tape, sharpie, and 3/8" drill.
Cut 2 pieces to 16" and 4 to 20", assembled the top rectangle and inserted the four legs with caps.
Drilled through the tubing at 4" intervals and wove the nylon between the sides.

Here is the final product in place. It took less than an hour nto build for under $20!

Re: Hozona's Indoor and Outdoor Experiments

woah!!! those are the weirdest s mites i ever saw are you sure thats what they are?

No....there are white flys too....sprayed and think I'll repeat tomorrow. Just came in from outside ridding my girl of any leaves I suspected of having even a sign of what I saw previously. White spots on that one leaf, it seems to have been the most infested. I am so glad I inspect so often:peace:
