Blue Mystic Goes Volcanic & The Fun Gi

Update end of the 8th week of flowering.

Sorry for the 6 week lapse of updates relating to this journal & i shall fill this post with a much detail as ol fuzzy can to the best of my knowledge.

This is either my 4th or 5th grow of this strain from clones which i often prefer to LST train my girls whilst in veg & like to stake main cola bearing branches in flowering for many reasons i like to think of a positive nature for my girls :thumb:

This grow consisted on mycorrhizal fungi, volcanic rock dust, bone meal, biobizz organic nutrients & recycled compost from previous grows which i may of added farmyard manure also, to attempt a poor mans version of high brix with some of the ingredients used !

Not that at present i have any means to test brixs intill the refractometer arrives in a few weeks time, nore do i claim this grow/journal to be high brix but only a poor mans version of the true method due to locally sourced materials required.

Most people may view my methods of a total mad hatter but i get fair results :peace:

Anyway back on with it...

As with most grows of blue mystic i normally suffer with yellowing of leafs from early flowering to mid to flowering which appeared rapid on this occassion & some what agressive with the yellowing leafs shriviling up to brown crinkled remains with that being totally new to me, it eventually slowed down towards the end of the 5th week of flowering nothing to unusual their.

What caused the shriviled brown leafs is yet undecided.

I noticed a slight delay in maturity of bud being the formation of burnt orange pistils which normally occurs in the 4th week of flowering & seemed slow to progress than past grows, some of the maturity of the bud is due to using DLR diminshing light routine... basically means ya ripen your bud quicker.

You can get similar results with with using 10/14 for the last 2 weeks tho but all depends on how ya like your end effect.

Here's some bud porn...

Yup 125w gaint cfl E40 fitting for all of veg does me just fine :thumb:

I will quite happily say i hit 45g dry weight per plant with 125w cfl for veg & 400w hps for flowering grown in 3' by 3' tent with organic methods with this current strain - 4 girls only.

Hope my Mystics give me somthin...........:thumb:

I'm sure they will reward you well

With a tender bit of love & training they can produce well :thumb:
