Blue Dream x Tutankhamon x Green Crack

Just ask questions. I'm not going to be growing this summer but I think I'm going to do tutorials on my auto water system, drip tables, and light

Do you have pictures of the 6 halos and the result?
I can't grow during summer cause of too hot temps in the grow room. I m sad I have to wait

She had RA and fibromyalgia plus other things. This is why I grow. Where I work we get tested so I can't partake
How can I help?

I just went looking and can't find any pictures. It's just a piece of tubing that I drilled my own holes in it.
Do you need it now or can I try to put something together with pictures next week sometime? Make sure your tubing runs are all the same lengths. That's key for even feeding

Thanks for the advice! I ll cut the tubes in same size. I m not in a hurry as I can't grow now (summer is coming and it will be too hot)

Don't forget to rinse the rock wool before you set anything in it. I rinse it under the faucet for a bit. then I place it in a pH of 6.2 or lower. I use rock wool when I take clones.

Thanks for your advice. I just followed what they advice on Grodan rockwool but in a different way. Instead of soaking them straight I prepared a photo 5.5 water, watered the rockwool with it with 15L of water, then turned on my water pump to keep watering them with the run off. I thought it would not be that different from diving them in the solution. Hope it will be ok

I am sure it will be fine. How often are you going to run the dripper system? Using all rockwool it will drain fast. Don't forget to add a air stone of some kind. You will want to keep your solution well Oxygenated. It will help your plant to grow strong and your Veg and Flower times will be shorter than dirt.

Hi @cmeflyin05

Thanks for showing interest. This post will sum up the grow settings :

I ll be using flooming to oxygenate the water that will be in the reserve. After multiple searches on the web I saw flooming and waterfalls were more efficient than airstones cause there are more contacts between water and fresh air. I put an article about it in a previous post.

Dripping system will be on top on the coco mat

I plan to put the seeds straight in the big cubes. I don't want to risk anything when transplanting so I prefer using more lights but increase my chances to do well. I ve always germinated well in soil without humidity dome or humidifier so it should be good. Plus the coco mat will be half an inch above the top. So as it will be wet the seed zone should have a way higher humidity than the rest of the grow space

Regarding how often I ll be watering I don't know. I m opened to your advices. I plan to run some tests before planting to see how often I need to run the watering drip system each day and how long

I would have the pumps going 24/7. the rockwool will drain quickly. I would still put a small air stone in your reservoir as well. I like your system and do believe you will have very good results.
In my veg room I use a drip irrigation that drains back to a reservoir.
This is a root ball from Gorilla Glue #4 plant that I moved over to my Flower room

I also forgot to mention that you are using up a lot of rockwool. You can let your roots be suspended in your nutrient solution just as long as you pump air into the water 24/7 as well.

Thanks for the pictures. Your system is clean! I like it a lot how you took time to set everything up.

I saw people watering rockwool once a day to 24/7. I think it depends also on if they're placed in soil or coco or are sit on water or slabs or mats.... The first place I wanted to put the 4 inches cubes in a mix of soil + Coco + perlite. Then I realized I could do full rockwool and benefit from cleaner growspace without any soil on the ground etc... I like clean stuffs lol. I also saw different videos of how huge plants could grow in rockwool. So decided to go full rockwool. Then I received the advice to use an airstone to oxygenate the water that was sitting under the pot cause I could get healthier and more developed root system. So I looked at the best solution on the net and found flooming. From some measures I saw on the net air stone + flooming is less efficient than flooming alone. This cause airstone move the O2 that is already in the water. The water gets new O2 only when the bubbles pop at the surface and then the water gets in contact with air. It s well explained in the article I had linked.
I could even do kind of mixed of rockwool and water culture with the roots going in the solution but the 16L water reserve may not be enough for roots of 4 plants. So I prefer having the roots developing in the rockwool cubes and slabs :Namaste:

I haven't herd of Flooming before. I will have to check it out. In my Flower room I have the roots suspended in the nutrient solution with a air stone.

This is a root ball at Harvest time.
I just wanted to show you what I have found that works best for me.
