Blue Angel 2019

She's a little cutie!

Aww blush! Haha I love your enthusiasm! Unfortunately I can’t call it a her (yet), the last two seeds I grew out of this batch turned out to be males. Major bummer!

Was fitting that I gave them male names :goof:

So I’m a little iffy on if this one is a female :nervous-guy:

Update:

gave the ladies a good drink tonight, 2 gallons each with there first dose of early flowering amount of nutrients.

Damn it’s getting hard to determine who’s who at first glance lol.

I flipped mine on the 21st, so we're going to be harvesting right
around the same time..I'm already picking out strains for my next
grow...the last seeds I ordered, the first order got pinched by
customs,so it took over 5 weeks to finally get them,so I'm starting
earlier this time.
Hope the little seedling ends up female for you..the odds are in your
favor-You'd need luck as bad as mine to get 3 males in a row...

That’s exciting, looking forward to seeing your harvest! Maybe we’ll have to mail a teddy bear full to each other! Haha I’m only kidding, not worth the hassle right now, especially going across the border :theband: all jokes aside I will be keeping my eyes out for your journal posts.

I’ll probably grow another set of these dark Angel and blue cookies, I’m too much of a cheap ass to buy new seeds when I have seeds lol, I’m sure I’ll get sick of smoking the same strain repetitively but who knows, maybe I’ll really enjoy this smoke, who knows :yahoo:

If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all :Rasta:

Update:

Tried to set up the bbq we got for a house warming gift from all of my family, the box was in bad shape, and a few items damaged. Off to the store to get a new one. That project is on hold, till tomorrow at least. In the mean time I got a few pictures of the plants. The nutrients have done exactly what they’re supposed to do. The plants have exploded with growth! The Blue Cookie sure towers over the Dark Angel now. I plan on trying to super crop them again later. I apologize because it’s a blurple picture and I didn’t take it through my glasses.

BC on the right, DA on the left^

The JMK is growing nicely. I lowered it from the light and it seems to be stretching a bit more. Did this just because I wanted to be able to burry the puck a bit. The BC and DA we’re always so short because I kept them so close to the light, and the puck is still visible on them and when I water I can see roots so darn close to the top, and I always have to cover a few back up.

It just come to me to what I should call it. He/she will be called “it”.

I’ll probably just showcase it’s progress on this journal, just because I don’t feel it would be worth making a new journal for one plant. :goof:
:passitleft:

Hey @Backlipslide! :ganjamon: Just ran through your journal. Awesome setup and good looking genetics! :yummy: Seems like you're doing a great job and they're loving it. Nice job on moving houses and moving the setup over, couldn't have been easy!
I'll be along for the rest of the ride...:nomo::rollit:See you around. Keep it irie

Update:

Brought the ladies out for a much needed drink/feeding. I also lollipoped the shit out of them. Anything lower then the top canopy was cut off (for the most part).

Dark Angel^ (Before)

1810612

Dark Angel^ (after) I cut the bottom two internodes on one side but left them on the other. I did that because the branches on the left have made it to the top of the canopy, the other side did not. I’m thinking because once my door gets sucked shut by the negative pressure in my tent from my carbon air filter. It blocked the light and it was unable to grow. Out with the weak, just to make the “stronger” even stronger (Flexes). :headbanger:

Dark Angel^

I went a little buck wild on the Blue Cookie, but again if it was below the top canopy, gone-zo! There was a lot of unhealthy branches as well from not getting light so it was time to come off!

I forgot to take a picture before putting her back in the tent. So I snapped a couple extra pictures of the Blue Cookie through my glasses.

I raised the light to a few inches off of being maxed out as well. It will sit at this height until I start running out of room, fingers crossed I don’t have to start tying branches down, towards the end but we will see.

It is doing pretty good as well, working on it's first internode! :thumb:

Nice job on the lolipopping @Backlipslide, plants are looking healthy and happy! :yummy:

Update:

The ladies are sitting pretty in their tent. I forgot to check how heavy they were when I was in there, but I’ll probably give them a feeding tomorrow, depending on how heavy they are. I tried to get my 2400 lumen light bulb plugged in to shine on the girls for some pictures but my cord wasn’t long enough and it only worked for the bottom half of the plants lol my grow light was too damn strong.

Now, “it” had better days.

1813070

This is the first time this has happened to me, then again this is the first time I didn’t have a fan in my veg box as well. My green Crack did this at the beginning but when I noticed it stretching, I tied a twist tie around it and stuck the other end in the puck, put a fan near it and the wind strengthened up the stem. This time, by the time I got to it, it was too late. Ohh well, sometimes she goes, sometimes she don’t. Ahh it was probably a disappointing male again anyways! I guess we will never know, turned the light off and gave it a proper burial site. In the garbage it went. :laughtwo:

On the other hand, I’ve got some news.

1813087

Leaves me two Blue Cookie’s, and one Dark Angel left, after dropping these four in water, to start their journey. I may end up killing off the weak one out of the two from both batches, as I don’t have the room for four flowering plants. I may experiment on the weak one with cloning, and/or just give them away. When the time comes, I will be sure to let you know!

1813093

The one Dark Angel seed (on the far right) sank within 5 seconds of going in water. I’m thinking it’s a dud. Just like the first seed I tried, which was the grunt. Much smaller then the rest. It didn’t sink right away but it never did sprout. We will see! I’ll check back on them tomorrow.

End off with a picture of my back yard and garden, looking through my kitchen window. It’s kind of hard to see through the jungle of weeds (not the good kind) that still need to be pulled. I don’t plan on growing any vegetables this year, but next year! watch out! This novice gardener will be trying his hand at some veggies! :meatballs:

Plants are looking amazing @Backlipslide! :bravo: They are praying to the light like crazy, loving life. Pushing pistils really well. :yummy: Sorry to hear about the seedling, best of luck to the next batch of beans!
Beautiful garden and loads of space, howcome you've not got an outdoor grow going? :thedoubletake: Enjoy the veggies! iv'e got loads going, there's nothing better than picking some veggies for supper :high-five:

The interwebs says that damping happens from fungus or something, like a cold. Maybe that puck had some bad juju in it BLS. How many seed did you start with that one just the one?

Thank you sir!!

I had planned on growing that JMK seed outside, but she died! Ohh well, maybe I’ll try one or two of these new seeds outside. Up here in Alberta it’s do-able to grow outside, but not ideal, as our spring/ summer is so short, by the time it starts flowering, it’s too cold to keep them outside, all I can do is try though! :thumb:

Yeah you might be right, i was thinking it was because I took the humidity dome off too early, and it ended up drying it self out, and couldn’t move the nutrients from the roots to the plant it’s self, or something, idk :hmmmm: wish I had an exact answer, but I don’t lol :goof:
