Update:
The DA1, and BC got another feeding tonight. I’ve got nothing cool to say. I’ve been smokin bunk weed all day, just had my first blast of that pink kush, and It wrecked me!
That’s all for tonight! I’m still hacking over here from hoots... I may or may not had another one, since I started this update.

Congrats on another great looking harvest! I’m doing a partial harvest tomorrow morning before lights on. Want to give the bottom buds more time to maximize as much as possible since the light couldn’t penetrate well there. Only harvesting the top of UK1. UK2 isn’t showing any amber yet and continuing to fatten up. It’ll work out good as I’ll be able to take UK2 off her raised platform and lower the light some to accommodate the new height of UK1. Today I’m going to map out UK1 for her surgery by adding ties to the bottom of where each cut will be (about 40% of the top) which will allow me to harvest quickly in the morning knowing exactly where to cut and all the buds will be pre-tied to be hung. Dual purpose

I want to thank each and everyone of you, for the nice words in the posts, above. I will get to your reply today, lol.
I‘ve been super busy lately with work, and home life. It was a short week at work this week but it felt much longer then it actually was. The wife needs a root canal done, and she’s been in some major pain. I feel terrible for her, and nothing I can really do. She hasn’t been getting much sleep this past week, in return, I haven’t been getting much sleep. I’m not complaining, because I know I could be in her shoes, and be in a crappier situation then the one I’m in, it just made this week feel longer then it actually was. I just feel terrible that she’s going through so much pain. She’s also pregnant so her gums are inflamed and not helping the situation. I think she’s got a cancellation appointment coming up on Tuesday for that. Lower end of a quote is 1400, It’s not covered under our benefits, so that’s a huge, blow to the finances, But at least she won’t be in pain anymore!
So back to the update, after what was just shy of 7 days hanging, I cut all the branches off the plant with buds on them. Trying to keep as much as I can on the main part of the plant. I cut it as low as I could on the main stem, and just below all the buds on each branch. I find it so interesting and fun to see the final finished dry plant with nothing on it after a grow. The tops of all those branches are pretty even.

This next picture is from Thursday night. The pic following, is after cutting off the plant. The last is what I’ve got left to trim.
It smells just like my first Dark Angel I harvested earlier in this journal. Very potent!

The BC is still rocking, not nearly as much amber trichs as the DA1. I’m thinking the BC needs a few more days, if not a week.
The DA1, on the other hand, is about ready for chop. If not tonight, then tomorrow.
Next up is the DA1. She’s getting super top heavy, and absolutely stunning. She smells a lot more pungent then the DA2, and has a sweet smell to her! I’m almost sad to chop her down! It’s been an awesome run with these Dark angel's, and one blue cookie.
There is a few white pistils on her, but not many at all. The one here and there, will not mount to making it worth growing them out longer, to what it will mount to.
That’s all for this update, my wife is home from work, my daughter has finished her nap and marching around the living room rubbing her belly, saying I’m hungy...
I know damn well, if it heat up some food for her, she won’t eat it. She just wants “Snacks”.

When my daughter was that age,the only thing she'd eat dependably was canned smoked oysters-the really stinky ones...kids are funny things

Thank you so much Carmen! She’s been in a lot of pain today. Right now she feels okay, but I wish it would last longer then it probably will! [sad face]never mind the chandelier #bangingbuds! All the best to your wife. I hope this root canal goes well... I'd hate to be in her shoes right now

I still haven’t cut down the DA1, I guess I’m in denial lol. I want to finish trimming the DA2 before I even think about starting another plant. The daughter is at grandmas today, so that’s exactly what I should be doing right now. But I’m enjoying the 14 degrees Celsius weather were actually getting right now in Alberta. Plus the quiet time always helps too! thanks again for the MOTM! That Old Salt is an amazing member, and one of a kind! if there is anybody here that deserves it, it’s him!
yeah if she has the root canal done, I’ll leave work early and go pick her up and drive her home. Not sure what they are able to give her, as she’s pregnant, but we will see. Sorry for the long reply. It just kinda happens (shrugs it off)

Yeah it’s been a blast!
Yes sir, the wife and I did a real good wet trim before even cutting the plant down. Now I just need to trim what we missed and get the long ugly fan leaves out of the way, and cut off the branches into the jar. A lot of sugary fan leaves being taken off. I’m going to save my trim from here on out and give it to a friend of mine to make some hash for me.
He came over last night and had a hot knife session. Then gave me a chunk of hash. What a nice guy!

Thanks PC! I finished hating my DA2, and got two jars full. Nothing spectacular, but it’s home grown. It very pungent! Takes over the entire room when I open the jars.
