Blue Angel 2019

:blunt:what kind of a smoke is the dark angel? I really should get new genetics and that looks pretty "toxic" hehe..

I found this smoke report on dark Angel on the internet just now. It’s a common report that I’ve been reading about the dark Angel so I know it’s accurate. Hope you enjoy it.

Up until now, Dark Angel has been one of the marijuana world’s best-kept secrets and even now, it’s still one of the harder strains to find. Word about the strain is, however, finally starting to spread and it’s finally starting to get the recognition it deserves for its great taste and strong pain relief. A balanced hybrid, it offers high levels of both THC and CBD, hence its (growing) popularity with medical users.

Created by Crop King Seeds, Dark Angel is a cross between two much-loved strains, Cheese and Jack Herer.
The flavour of Dark Angel is essentially that of a top-quality coffee and has notes of both spice and sweetness. The aroma could be put in a bottle on its own. It’s still very much based on coffee, but there’s spices and nuts in there as well along with an earthy body and real pungency.
You can expect at least 15% THC in Dark Angel, 20% is far from unusual and some sources have reported that it can go as high as 22%. This puts it on the upper end of the sort of THC content beginners should consider. As you would expect, the effect begins with some knockout pain relief and a powerful head high, which is known for being relaxing and meditative rather than energetic. Those looking for a weed to get the party started should definitely look elsewhere, this is a weed to get you thinking rather than one to get you dancing. Dark Angel also has about 1% CBD, which means that as the head high gently ebbs away, you move smoothly into a wonderful, full-body stone. Dark Angel has built a reputation for itself as a strain which will deal with pain effectively and soothe you into the sleep you so desperately need. It’s also noted for its results with emotional conditions, such as anxiety, stress and depression.
When it comes to growing Dark Angel, your biggest challenge is likely to be getting hold of the seeds in the first place. This strain is a very good choice for those new to growing. In spite of its hybrid genetics and high THC content, Dark Angel grows in the style of an Indica and is ready in a mere 8 weeks indoors, so the outdoor harvest is around mid-/end-September. As this sort of growth time suggests, Dark Angel stays nicely compact, but still offers very decent yields with 550g/M2 being a realistic expectation indoors. One of the reasons Dark Angel is often recommended to beginner growers is because overall it’s a fairly robust and hardy strain, but it does have to be remembered that even though many people think its aroma is delicious, the scent can still get very strong very quickly, particularly if you’re growing more than one or two plants, so in addition to taking care of effective ventilation, you’re also probably going to want to look at odour control in the form of air filters (indoors) and strategic positioning (outdoors).

Awesome journal so far! I really like the tie down method you are using and how you can get the plant bush!. Can't wait to see your future grows. I also notice how the trunk and branches are thick and hefty haha something about seeing cannabis trunks like catches my eye and the clean up underneath. Seriously kudos man!:bravo::headbanger:

Thanks @carcass means a lot!!

I didn’t know what to expect when I started the DA, but it’s exceeded my expectations and then some! :thumb: Last night was the first time I actually witnessed it having a “nutmeg” smell to it. Had it away from the bc and the aromas sure come out!

Omg those buds and they way those plants look . Something extra special care and love brings .

Sounds awesome! I have bad backpain and add. So far strong indica strains have been good meds, but i have to smoke or eat too much of my current own strain superskunk/wonderwoman wich ive been running for over a year now.. will try to get those da seeds for next run!

Definitely! I’d recommend the DA without even smoking it, it’s been a treat to grow it!

Update:

I snapped two photos of the flowering tent before the lights turned on today.

That was exciting lol. I also fed the young lads. Gave them another seedling and cutting dose of nutrients. Their loving life at the moment. They will not be loving life if I don’t transplant them soon. I’ve got one 3 gallon cloth pot, and one 5 gallon cloth pot left. I’m kinda hooped until my order gets here. I might have to just go buy some plastic pots to put them in.

Here’s my predicament, I know for a fact that three 5 gallon cloth pots won’t fit in my tent. Three 3 gallon pots might, but damn will that be tight. I don’t even think it would be enjoyable. So the one Dark Angel I’ll probably end up giving her away. I’d hate to start it outside (this late into the season) just to fail. I would rather her fulfill her life and grow to be that mature pot plant she’s destined to be. I’ve got a few friends that would love to take her, but I’m having a hell of a time trying to figure out which DA to give up. Their both growing so beautifully I don’t want to give up any of them.

The DA1 sounds so appealing to keep just because it’s got a 1 in it, but that DA2 is a sleeper. It looks like it’s got height on the 1 but that doesn’t mean anything lol

Now I’m just rambling :lot-o-toke:

I’ll finish off with a picture of my rose from my rose bush in the back. It needs a trimming, same with my bush in the front, I may have to learn how to trim these prickly bastards lol

Your big plants and the little tykes all look great!
I'd say keep the DA2-they both look great,but#2 looks just a little better...

Hey,I was perusing a few threads yesterday, and I finally found out what
your username means-I'm a fossil,so I don't know any skate terms-but every since I saw your name I've wondered "What in the hell does that mean?"...now I know.
I was a skater in the late 60's,but all we did then was ride them, and I still managed to hurt myself enough just doing that...

Yeah the DA2 Stands out. I most definitely agree!

Well sir, I’m glad you figured it out, but now the secret is out! Lol :laughtwo:

Yeah I’m a what they would call a wood pusher, but I can throw in some tricks to break up the monotony.

You sir I would have to thank, you being a skater in the late 60’s would have helped pave the sport it is today. For that I respect the crap out of you! :high-five: And I want to say thank you! :thanks:

Thanks,BL
I bought my first board at the grocery store in 1963-red ,about 18" long with metal wheels- $1.25
Soon we started building our own-an old clay wheeled pair of roller skates from the thrift store, and we could build 2 "custom" boards....I was out of it by the time urethane came along-those wheels are what really got people skating-skating on the road and not just the sidewalk?
try that with steel or clay wheels-ouch!

Wow what a time to be alive! You have some great history carcass! I would love to sit down with you, beer in hand and hear all the stories you have. It was a different world back then! I do have to say, you got out of it at the wrong time, that’s when skateboarding really started popping off. I couldn’t imagine riding clay or metal wheels! We take it for granted the wheels and bearings we have now. Respect! :high-five:

Did you dabble into any surfing when you were younger? That’s something I’ve never done but would absolutely love to!

No surfing, even though I live 22 miles from the beach...I don't understand it either..
P.J. Wahl was one of my stoner buddies in high school, before he started building surfboards...
