BizzBeachbum - BioBizz Soil & Nutes - AutoUtlimate & AutoEuphoria

Howzit Troy - My seeds came in the same little tins as yours, bought them from The Vault, an online seed-bank in the UK.

I was wondering about your germination problems because you seemed to do almost exactly what I did. I got 6/6 - I put that down to great Dutch Passion genetics because I'm a noob and can't take the credit.

I think you were spot on about your heating mat cooking the seeds - and I'm sure that your new Ultimates will be beasts.

Hey Beachbum -

Hard telling. I have 2 more Ultimates in paper towel that are not on a heating mat (sitting in a warm cabinet) and after 7 days no sign of even a crack. Sitting next to them I popped a Alien v Triangle yesterday afternoon and when I just peeked (less than 24 hours from when I gave her a 6 hour soak she has popped a 1/8" tap.

Good news is I have 5 seedlings in their final pots and hope to have Alien join them soon.

Those Dutch Passion seeds must not be right somehow - if your AvT popped in the same environment. Still - you have a few survivors and they look healthy dude.

Day 28 - Jungle is Massive - can't believe the growth. My good mate popped round (same one who saw then on Wed) and he gasped :thedoubletake: at the difference. I was amazed at their overnight stretch alone. So happy dudes.

I watered/fed 2 days ago and moisture in the soil says that I will need to water/feed again tomorrow, just 3 days after last. They have been 4 days between each of the last 3 waterings so they are getting thirstier. Gonna increase my water/feed, from current 2L, to 3L.

I have now also leaf-tucked the 3 Euphoria just like I did the 3 Ultimates a few days ago.

:rasta:Had the lads over for poker last night - took a small dry-ish bud off one of my still drying Northern Lights and it went down very well. Was sticky when rolling. Obvious taste of chlorophyll to be expected, but was not harsh and couch-locked my mate for ages. I took all his money on the last hand too. Not fully dried yet and not cured yet but happy with smoke so far.

Bit weird quoting my own post - but wanted to show you why I'm so happy with this grow compared to my first. I didn't take many photos of my first grow but I dug out a few which almost match days with current grow. My first grow (Northern Lights from Seedmans) had a terrible start due to ignorance and I know the Dutch Passion genetics are known for bigger plants, but still impressed with the improvement.

The photos on the left are of my best Northern Lights plant from first grow at day 21 and day 25 -
and photos on the right are of my best DP Ultimate plant from current grow at day 19 and day 24.

Keeping in mind that the pots on left are 8L and pots on right are 15L the difference is startling.

Day 28 - girls got another water/feed today - 3 days since their last one so increased my water/feed, from current 2L, to 3L. Even with 3L there was not much run-off and was sucked back up by the pots within a minute. If the girls drink up their 3L within 3-5 days then this means I've reached PGR's recommended sweetspot, "If you hit the sweetspot you will be able to give them 20% of pot size with little to no run-off." Reps to PGR for great advise.

3L water per plant mixed with:
Bio-Grow 1ml/L
Bio-Heaven 1ml/L
Alc-A-Mic 1ml/L
Acti-Vera 1ml/L
CalMag 0.6ml/L

I think I will be introducing flower nutes (Bio-Bloom and Top-Max) to next feed or the feed thereafter - schedule says from week 3 (mine are week 4 already) but I've read that these Dutch Passion strains take a week or so extra in veg. What do you guys think?
Hope everyone's grow is going well :yummy:

Wow... you just proved Size Does Mater.. at least with pot size. LOL I'm wondering what mine will do as i'm in 26 Liter bags.

Your plants are really looking nice an bushy.

Howzit Troy - Bushy as a 60s porn star dude. Their nodes are really close and loads of foliage under the canopy.

I don't think my first grow pot size was their limiting factor at that stage though - My 600W ballast stopped working and they were without light for 5 days - they also did not get pH adjusted water, water was not bubbled and no nutes at all. :bigblush: Learned a lot since then, all from growers like you on 420.

:thedoubletake: - 26L bags - don't think I've seen anyone going that big (not much experience though). I have read that Autos will veg and grow larger until their tap-root hits the bottom of the pot, then they auto-flip to flower. But I read that with a pinch-of-salt because Autos have that internal-clock thing going on. Your girls could become beasts dude.

I'm sure your going to knock this grow out of the park. I know I screwed one of my last grow up by accidentally unplugging the air pump in my DWC and had some root rot. That's the main reason I shifted to coco.

Thanks dude - I hope we get the best out of our Dutch Passion girls. First grows are for screwing up, and learning I guess. Coco looks really promising.

Been really busy these last few days with putting my harvested Northern Lights Auto buds in jars and chopping the last remaining 1st grow plant - a Blue Mammoth Auto from Barneys Farm. Meanwhile my DP girls need another water/feed tomorrow, they are stretching now and are growing so quick. Update with pics of what's been happening tomorrow.

It's incredible the amount of work that is involved in harvest and post harvest activities. I'm sure you will be happy with the results. Look forward to seeing your new updated photos. I decided to do some strong LST on my Daiquiri Lime and she is responded to it well.

I ordered some more DP beans today from Seedsman. I looked up my last buy and found I had purchased from Far North See.

The Line Up was

Auto Brooklyn Sunrise
Auto Blackberry Kush
Auto Durban Poison

Harvest time was loads of work but I enjoyed it, Put some music on and took my time.

I saw your strong LST on Dee, I'm not brave enough yet but she looks healthy dude.

Love the Durban Poison - I come from that part of the world and seen wild plants as big as trees growing in some of the remote kloofs. The wild original strain high is not as strong the modern selectively-bred strain but smoked neat it has a euphoric, giggly, social high. It was on my list for my current grow but it is often sold out on the sites that I use. It's available again now but gonna wait till current grow is further along.

Harvest Update - 2 days ago - 6 days after I hung my ladies on hangers in a cupboard, they seemed dried to me (from what I've read).

The cupboard was always 19-22C and 45-55% RH - right in the zone (from what I've read). Yeah - :laughtwo: I've been reading a lot :nomo: Thrilled, I thought it would be difficult to balance the environment, but got lucky with current outdoor conditions and the tools I had on hand to adjust it indoors - a heater to keep the temp stable and a moist towel hung in the room to get humidity up did the trick.

I cut the buds from the stems and put in quart jars. I've placed a hygrometer in one of the jars as a control for the others which moves from jar to jar each day while burping the treasure. Amazingly - the jarred hygrometer reading started at 65% RH and dropped to and stabilised at 62% today, Temp 19-22C - again right in the zone. If the jar humidity drops any further then I'll just pop a 62% humidipak in each - Sorted. The buds are not as dense as bought buds but very exited about weigh-in.

This from the tall, lanky plant:

This from the biggest one (very poor photo I see now).

I have a bet with a mate that I won't get more than 1oz from this bigger plant. He said it looks like more than 1oz so its a bet I don't mind losing. If its more than 1oz I give him 2g of the bud of his choice. If I win and its less than 1oz then he pays for my next poker buy-in. Photo of this plant jarred up - so you decide for yourself who's going to win.

Trophy shot: One more jar to come - I've chopped the last original grow plant and she is hanging out in the cupboard.

Wow... Excited about the Durban Poison - Sounded like a nice plant to grow. I didn't realize the origin was South Africa until you pointed it out. Awesome.

LST really wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. My only recommendation is to go slow so you don't break the stem on the first bend. I did it over a 4 hour period and just kept tightening it up. My philosophy was that the longer I waited to initiate the harder the main stem would become. It is remarkable how quick the lower nodes kick into gear.

:goodjob: On your harvest. They look awesome. :bravo:

One Month Update - my ladies have shown that they are female and must be in "stretch" because that is the only way I can explain to myself their crazy growth rate. Reputed Dutch Passion genetics and some extremely effective guidance from you guys and I have ended up with monsters.
Here is a composite of Leeloo's first month: sprout 2 Jan - monster 31 Jan :MoreNutes:
