Birdie's Return To Life

Like when you wave enthusiastically to someone in the street only to find that as they get closer you don't know them at all. Then you have to do the walk of shame as they get closer and eventually after a lifetime they finally pass lol :)

I usually throw the biggest smile.. And say... Ooo I thought you were...

I do that regularly. I laugh and get them in on it. People are nice about that one.

My best pickup line.
Me -"You know, you remind me of my second husband".
Him-" How many times have you been married "?
Me-" once".

It worked! It will be our 13 year anniversary this year.

My thoughts exactly,
The bark is ok for growing weed, I dont have the specs handy, but it was checked.
And it is in the bottom of pot for aeration...
They will be replanted again..

Orchids have bark? I also am very worried about this orchid bark. Orchids are very strange acidic little plants. There are special nutes just for them. I know there are certain barks that should not be used around cannabis, such as for mulch.

No, orchids do not have bark, per se. Orchid park is a medium of ground up fir bark used to grow terrestrial orchids in. Examples of terrestrial orchids are cymbidiums and zygalopediums. I used to have a cymbidium nursery in California. Two actually, one in Monterey and another in San Diego. My orchid collection is now on permanent loan in Sonoma Co., California. It is too cold here in Oregon to grow them. Its too cold to grow Cannabis outdoors here in the fall and winter as well. Otherwise I would grow more Colombian and Thai sativas here.

Anyway, I do not think that orchid bark would be a good soil medium for Cannabis plants. Its too coarse and acidic. I use a mix of sandy and silty soil mostly. They seem to prefer sandy soils over clay soils in my experience. Drainage is key. Cannabis roots also grow fast so they like loose soil, and sand or silt allows for that. I do not bother with mulch for my cannabis plants either. They grow too fast and it all over a done with in 6 months. I mulch my rhodies and blueberries which have fine surface roots and they thrive in acid soils. I do mix in 1/3 decomposed leaves and fir needes into my cannabis soil though. Mainly to feed the worms. Let the worms aerate the soil and leave castings. Worms are good. They only eat dead plant material.
