Birdie's Return To Life

one arm and two legs.... the nerve most affected from the injury goes to my right shoulder and arm. It's most likely that I got arthritis from the injury as well. Joints specially knees and wrists have started to cause serious pain too.

But heeey I can still grow plants and nice buds. :)
OK, sent you a pm :) This is outrageous!
OK, you are not 100% off, but 3%?!?

Hi Em :hugs:
The fermentation, with water only, is ready in 2 weeks so I would suggest a first test in a week.
Mine was started about 5 days ago.
I have the lid loosely on and only close it when I want to turn the vase/ bottle.

I also started fermenting a batch in late December and is ready to use! On your suggestion I kept the lid loose to vent out gases and would shake the container slowly every week to release the air stuck between the peels. I also added some jaggery powder to it. The fertilizer is cloudy in color and it still smells fresh. Honestly it's been doing wonders, my WW has been shooting explosive growth since I started using it, could be the new bloom nutes too but some credit goes to this magic solution.

actually, my jack herer was topped between 3 and 4. I have never been one to do things as most people prefer. I prefer the scientific method.
So here is what we know about topping:
If you top between 2 and 3, it works like a FIM and you produce 4 main tops.
If you top between 3 and 4, it does crazy things. Most often you get 3 tops, but I have seen 5 come out of it.
If you top anywhere above 4, you get 2 tops and it works like that from then on... top a tip and produce 2 tips.
so to go a bit further with this... it is always my desire to produce short plants, and plants that structurally can hold up a lot of buds. Topping down low and getting right with the training from then on allows you to create the shortest plants possible, and the 4 main tops and opening up the middle seems to be a very productive way to grow. I pretty much always nowadays top at 2-3, after waiting for node 5 to rise up, just so after the top I still have some large fan leaves to keep things humming.

There's an old technique I almost always use called "Uncle Ben's Topping" (UBT). With a UBT, you wait until the plant has 5-6 nodes, then, if you top between the 2nd & 3rd nodes, as @Emilya said, you get four primary colas. What was left out is that, if you top between the 1st & 2nd node, you get two primary colas. I usually go for four myself! ;)
