Bignstrange's 4x4 800W COB LED Grow Tent - Promix - New Grower - Drop In!

in hindsight I should have grabbed one of those magic shrinky hoses that automatically curl up when the water gets shut off. You want as short of a piece of garden hose as you can get away with because after watering you need to coil it up above your head to drain it out into the reservoir otherwise the ferts in the hose go rotten and smell like sewer in a couple days when you water next. The piece of pvc hose that connects to the pump should only be 12 to 18 inches long to the hose connector. any longer and the hose connector will be out of the reservoir and drip at the coupling onto your floor.

This is what I grabbed, I was thinking of dropping it right into the 5 gallon buckets I mix in, I might get a bigger Rubbermaid soon, then buying a 1/2" to male hose thread adaptor and attaching a wand right to it, maybe having 6 foot of hose to it and turning the pump all the way down, do you think that would work? I could pull it apart and clean it each time or just run clean water through it until it's clean. Probably pulling it apart each time is better. Lol any input?

I came across these the other day. Looked interesting - Bloom Brothers GGWR06 Hydro Halo Water Ring 6-Inch with 3 leg support

May be more cost effective to just make your own with tubing.
Yea TMD posted something similar that he had made, I'm gunna be setting watering rings up once I'm set up with my veg tent! This wand situation will be a great improvement for now!

Yep I agree I was re stringing my scrog last night and my back wasn't having it.... So I'm tall great, but it's a lot more of me hanging over the tub and more person to counter balance. Ugh

Totally feel you there, I'm tall too, like taller than my grow tent XD definitely makes it difficult, nevermind the fact I'm recovering from knee surgery still .

It's definitely an art navigating a world meant for people at least a half foot shorter than you XD

I think this investment will definitely pay itself back, even in chiro bills XD and if all I have to do is pay 65 bucks for another table when I add another tent,I'm happy!

Hey Big✌️Found you! Your journal is as long as the bible so I'll need time to catch up! I got so excited about Psycho I jumped ahead to see if she made it and she did. hahahaha! I'm invested now so I'll be around taking notes;)

And all caught up!

11 07 17 pm update!

What's up everyone! Really stoked on this watering thing coming together, really excited to give it a shot!

Overall everything's looking good, still playing around with the humidifier set up bit will let you all know where temps and rh settle in at! Big tent has been pretty stable around 76 to 78 degrees with exhaust on during the day and 50 to 60 percent humidity which I'm happy with! At night the exhaust fan is off but the booster stays on!

I noticed a little bit of a burnt tip on jewel, it could just be that the tip of her leaf was resting in the dirt but it's possible she's getting a little lock out(if it is burn on the leaf) because of the combo of the burn and the deficiencies she is showing. Good thing I was planning a heavy watering next round, I'll keep an eye on this! I know promix runs a little higher than it should so I may just have to drop my watering ph a bit!

Onto the pics :3

Tons of branching going on and a solid half inch of growth on all of them a day! Getting there folks! Once I get the watering system set up n get a bit better at doing that properly they should do better too! Also thinking about getting aquarium air stones to aireate my nutrient solution before watering? Is that worth it with bottle nutes? Just wondering if the extra dissolved oxygen might be beneficial in promix?

Lol k time for me to smoke before i start asking too many questions n get in trouble .

Gunna roll up some purple og, how fat should it be? .

Thanks for checking in yall! Lots of love and thanks for all the support! It's a ton of fun doing this journal with y'all :3

Cheers! . . . .

Loving the late night updates homie. Have you thought of lowering your lights a bit? Not sure what you're manufacturers recommended height is but maybe it would help them bush out more. Just a thought considering they're taking well to everything else you've given them but can be pushed a bit more imo. Well wishes Big and goodsmoke!

Lol I love saying this; the recommended hanging height is 2 to 6 feet XD

But good thing you mentioned that cause I did actually drop the light down to 29 inches tonight, a bit of a drop so well see how they take it, who knows it might be the push they need to grab up all those nutes in the soil!

Great minds think alike I guess . speaking of which I just busted up that og, rolling now . cheers buddy! . .

Goodmorning Big! wow lots has changed since I was last here xD
hope you have a good day

I was just wondering my plants are at four weeks i use fox farms nutes what should i be putting in the water at the time in their life

depends on their light schedule and whether or not you plan to flip soon, I used fox farm nutes in my last grow - PM me for any questions you may have

Yeah I think that would work great. As long as you can get it apart to drain it then it will be perfect. Im jealous of the flood table I couldnt find anything like that in Kamloops. Maybe when I set up tent #2 I will have to drive to Vancouver
