in hindsight I should have grabbed one of those magic shrinky hoses that automatically curl up when the water gets shut off. You want as short of a piece of garden hose as you can get away with because after watering you need to coil it up above your head to drain it out into the reservoir otherwise the ferts in the hose go rotten and smell like sewer in a couple days when you water next. The piece of pvc hose that connects to the pump should only be 12 to 18 inches long to the hose connector. any longer and the hose connector will be out of the reservoir and drip at the coupling onto your floor.
This is what I grabbed, I was thinking of dropping it right into the 5 gallon buckets I mix in, I might get a bigger Rubbermaid soon, then buying a 1/2" to male hose thread adaptor and attaching a wand right to it, maybe having 6 foot of hose to it and turning the pump all the way down, do you think that would work? I could pull it apart and clean it each time or just run clean water through it until it's clean. Probably pulling it apart each time is better. Lol any input?
