Well. frankly Big Doode.......I hope you can bring them back to life.........looks bad, I'm afraid, but Who Knows? Good luck Mate!:thumb:

Hope you get them back to life.

Your question about what seed to start with, go with the purple strains (wow you got lots) they will respond well to the cold and show colors. Keep your room temp control between 55F-80F for optimal grow. You can even upgrade to higher wattage or more lights it will help keep the room warm (balanced out with intense heat from the bulb with cold weather) while have your plants grow big and dense. That, or add a small heater. I have a small heater going when the lights are not on, the room can get 40F when the lights are off on a really cold days.

omm....thanks man we will see what happens.
fncg...thanks , the temps are a killer for sure
12.... i was thinking the same thing about seeds, the purps would enjoy my crazy temps and hopefully get some amazing colors, i was thinking:idea: about breeding one of the purples to white widow whatcha think?:cheer: i have a space heater in there but that bathroom is drafty and 10 below 0 is just to much for it to keep up with:trance:, so it all went back into the 3x4 foot closet never had a problem with the cold in there with that heater, i can keep the temps exactly where i want:thumb: so i was reading bout genetics/breeding etc, and dj short was saying that a herm that starts out male and goes mostly female is rare and useful for some positive traits in breeding :hmmmm:
thats exactly what i have/had, i left it out in the cold to die last night and culled the other, now i wonder if that was a mistake,,i do have more of those same generation seeds and since 100% of them have been herm starting male going mostly female, has my pea brain working...:hmmmm: he also said alot of kick butt sativas are strongly hermie in nature ! more thinking...:hmmmm:

Sorry to see your ladies had to suffer them cold temps, i lost one ladie, but a whole room must of hurt! To raise night time temps iv been using ceramic bulbs they are about £5 for 100w, they dont use much electric and produce no light, they are very good for heating an enclosed area, a single 100w is doing a great job of keeping my 1.2m x 1.2M tent to perfect temps. Always a good to have options and i hate to see good space go to waste, mayb its a sign to sink them new genetics! :)

I was surprised and sorry to see your plants suffer the cold temps. They were looking so healthy too! You are going to have some amazing colorful plants with your growing environment!

I am not sure if it was a mistake to let your hermie die. It certainly looked like it had alot of female genes in it. Those hermie seeds you have left could come in handy!:thumb:

A purp to white widow sounds good. I don't know, I think I would get some new seeds. That's just me....say hernie and I run! :high-five:

i will keep those ceramic bulbs in mind bro, only problem i see is having an extra socket for it since im always looking for more light, lol yup going in there and seeing my girls laying over looking half dead was pretty horrendous but sadly its not the first time i have been greeted by limp plants, :( its usually heat tho...moving them back to the closet will stabilize temps tho. its staying between 65-75 now, im looking forward to the new beans, you dont even know!! lol:thumb:

well im going in there to check today, couldn't yesterday (long day of dr. appts) hopefully 2 days of stable temps and mild bpn nutes helped them, its a damn resilient strain!! hoping for the best!! prepared for the worst!! :thanks:

Oh man that sucks... That is my worst fear having a grow in an unheated garage. Its so hard to see those pictures. I feel very bad for you. I really hope you can salvage something from it.

Anxiously awaiting some good news on this...

At least you have some great genetics coming your way.

hey omm the purple ,white widow cross will be with the new seeds,:cheer: im waiting on the order to show up fingers crossed,, im done with these genetics, i think 4 grows over 3 years is plenty!! the hermie thing is not as scary to me as it used to be i have done some reading as of late, and learned that there are strains of sativa that pretty much are all herms and still produce potent and tasty bud, with the added bonus of being lightly seeded for a new crop! but this requires more study on my part,:reading420magazine: for now im stepping away from the hermness! :thumb: my grow will be changing soon hehehe!:high-five:

yup it sucks a big juicy diseased goat nutsack!! im pretty sure 1-3 will make it, we will see later today, after it warm up enough that i can get out of bed!!!, im waiting with bated breath for the new seeds im popping a couple right away:thumb::high-five:

A seedling heating mat, or heating pad underneath the pots would be a good buffer from the cold ground too....Sorry to see you're having the temp issues...You'll figure it out, though, I'm sure of it! Hell, anyone who can figure out how to rig up 9v batteries and make colloidal silver, can surely overcome a little problem like cold temps! Cold is easier to defeat than temps that are too high! Sending you good vibes for the next grow...From what I can tell about you, I have a feeling these plants will get tossed to make room for some top notch genetics!

lol thank you quix! such kind words of encouragement, honestly it is needed atm been feeling like a crappy greendad, to these lil ladies, they will be history for sure, i just need the meds 2 get me thru till the new seeds produce,, i have not had a puff in over a month now,, im a tinkerer i have built all sorts of gadgets in the past, necessity is the mother of invention,,just wish someone would pick up on one of my patents! :thumb:
that would make my millennium! i have a heat pad but i was afraid it would short and cause a shockingly good time! *wink*:high-five::thumb:

woo hoo!!! my bpn has arrived!!! thank you so much Corey!! you rock man!! they got here fast without a hitch there was a little ice floating in the top no doubt from sitting in the ups truck in this sub freezing weather hopefully its not a problem,it was just a tiny bit:thumb::thumb::morenutes::morenutes::thumb:
now i have to feed those hungry girls does anyone see why i cant use them full strength according to the bpn schedule or should i give them a warm up with 3/4 or 1/2 dose? they have been getting pretty strong tiger bloom and are almost in the 5th week of flower?
