BigBearNTX Perpetual Auto Grow

Chopped and trimmed three RQS Stress Killers tonight. Wet weight (very wet) is 935g. Should be about 200g dry. I’m happy with that.

Did a partial harvest of the Strawberry Cheesecake and also took down the RQS Stress Killer that I was trying to get pollen from. That experiment ended in failure for sure. Oh well, I’ll try again in the future.

split the tent into a veg and bloom area. The severely trimmed Tangerine Dream mother is in the veg side along with a pail of cutting that I can’t bear to toss. I don’t have room for more clones, but I may try to pass some cuttings on to some friends.

Clones have been topped, and are on the bloom side. I need to tape the partition a bit, it’s got some light leaks, but I think it will work fine. It’s a bit cramped with twelve clones and the rest of the Strawberry Cheesecake, but I’ll take the rest of the Strawberry Cheesecake in a week or two and that will free up some space. I’ll still be running twelve plants, but I’m planning on a switching to 12/12 in a week or two after they recover from topping. It will still be a cramped tent, but I think I can manage with some smart pruning. Going to run it like a modified SOG.

I’ve got the tent decided into bloom and veg, and finally got around to redoing the ventilation today. I had to order a “y” duct so that I can run flex hose to both sides of the tent. I took the filter out of the inside of the tent (causing a fan accident), and moved it outside. Basically converting from a “pull” filter system to a “push” system. It’s not pretty, but it should work

Tangerine dream partial harvest from a freebie from Seedsman.

going to give it another run, but with far fewer clones this time. I was able to do 12 small pots, but I’m going back to the Dollar Tree small bin hempy pots for this next run and just doing max of four plants.

Just harvested the top buds that were ready leaving the lower buds for another week or two to mature more and fatten up. They still had mostly clear trichomes. I’ve also lowered the lights to their level to give them a boost.

I’m pretty pleased with this run. I’m getting about 28g or 1oz per square foot. The initial harvest is about 100g dry, so about 3.5 oz. I’ll get another 28-50g out of the next harvest, I’m guessing.

Nothing like having a full stash!

And speaking of growing...second harvest from the Tangerine Dream will probably be next weekend. I harvested the tops of my 12 plants I’ve got going, left the bottoms to get more light and develop some more.

The buds are plumping up and getting frosty. Looks like I’ll do the second harvest next weekend.

I severely pruned the mother plant a couple of weeks ago, took some clones, and have been watching her recover. I wish I had a summer and the security to grow a Tangie outside. I’m pretty sure I could get a huge bush out of this plant with an outdoor growing season.

Did the second harvest of the Tangerine Dream last weekend. Got about another 50g. I haven’t weighed it, so I’m just estimating based on volume. I’ve got it in a large jar with some Boveda packs.

So, weighed my Tangerine Dream after it’s been dried and then put in jars with some Boveda packs.

Harvested right at 180g from the first harvest and 180g with the second for a total of 360g. I grew this in a 2x2 ft section of the tent, so 0.6m^2. That comes to right at 600g m^2.

I think I’m sold on the idea of a two stage harvest of plants.

FYI, that came out six quart jars of 30g each. I weigh a “heavy” ounce to make up for stem weight.

:woohoo: full jars! Nice to see you Bear :ciao: really happy to see the garden still producing well for you. Stay safe out there
Thanks Amy!!!

I’ve got plenty for personal use. It will be a while until the next harvest, so this will need to last a while. My buddy goes through about two jars a month of bud for his edibles, so I’m just trying to keep up.

I need to learn to stagger cuttings for clones. I’m at a boring part right now where I need to transplant the clones I took at the end of January into bigger pots and really let them take off. I think I’m going to give them one more week in their nursery pots though, since I have my tomatoes in the bloom space. I did take a clone about two weeks ago, so that’s about a month behind the other five. It’s a baby step for staggered clones. Lol

It’s time to do another prune of the Tangie mother. She’s getting too large for her tiny veg space of 1x2 feet. And it kills me to have to just waste all the cuttings, but I have no space for more clones.

Hi Amy! Doing well, and I hope you and yours are as well.

This is after the chop. I’ve got to be pretty drastic with my trimming. But I’ve got five clones that are rooted and I can make one a new mother if needed. I may only be able to severely prune this one a couple of more times before it runs out of bud sites to make new branches.
