BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Shootout

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

Gentlemen...I didn't post the video on #409 here on a whim...it shows the complete process and I believe they start with a 160 micron bag...:cheesygrinsmiley:The larger the micron # the finer the product comes through...it's like the thread count on bedsheets, the higher the thread count the smoother and tighter the weave is...hope that helps with all those questions.:cheesygrinsmiley:
:tokin:

You sure about that Hoz?

Yes, thread count is done in a unit per inch sort of measurement. I think with mesh, the number indicates the size of the opening. Otherwise you would filter through your 75 miron bag first and end with the 220, right?

You got it right to start with the 160 (or 220?), but the next part is backwards I think. The larger the number, the larger the holes in the mesh, and the larger the particles that will go through.

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

A micron is one millionth of a meter. The larger the number the larger the hole.

I tried the dry ice method the other day after finding dry ice at walmart. I tried the 25 micron bag first and didn't get much at all.
Switched to the 73 and got a fair amount that was a little more green.
Ran what was left in the 220 bag and got even more but a lot more green.

When I do ice water it's just the opposite. Start with the biggest and work your way to the finest.

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

no nono lol microns are a empty space or gap measurement 25 microns is a finer mesh than 220 the exact opposite of the thread count system, in that they are counting each thread, in the micron system they are referring to the size of the holes in between the threads, sitting here looking at them i can say withcertainty that the 73m is a finer mesh than the 120 or 160, using a 60x magnifier confirms this beyond all doubt, i cannot speak for any other mesh type or system, as this is the only type i have ever seen or used, 3 days ago i would have had no idea but now i can see with my own peepers:thumb:

no wonder, I got the facts confused,
dry ice method starts lower and gos up. ice water starts high and goes down ?

so i was wondering who all of my 420 fam lives on or very near the ocean in cali, spiffy and i are planning a possible anniversary trip to see the pacific ocean, she has never seen the pacific, i of course have been a beach bum in the past ,but anyway, some other factors would be if there was a great co op or someplace to acquire some high end genetics, a friend that knows the area and fun stuff to do, any ideas are welcome as well as pm's

you wanna go? lol dont mind our constant fooling around and sucking face?!:thumb:
You know why I gotta stay somewhat close-by...If things get better with that I will be free to go...depending on where it is in time in my grow. Ya know???:cheesygrinsmiley: I hope you two will line up your roadtrip the way you are hoping:cheesygrinsmiley:

yeah we are just at the point of putting out feelers, and i to have to figure out how to keep plants alive while im away for a week, im thinking ,heavey feed day i leave, res of water pumping 15 min a day to an array of drippers or just a few totes and bottom feed a few gallons every other day rather than an elaborate array of emitters/drippers

No place in the world prettier than sitting on the Alameda Rock Wall on a clear night, smoke a primo joint and looking over at SF all lite up. Feels like you can reach out and touch her. Never know you could even catch a sturgeon. I miss "My City Bye the Bay'. Sending Rep's + Keepem Green

Re: BID 4.0 - Hydro - Autos - JDL - DWC Bubble Buckets - Blue Planet Nutrients Shooto

I use this 150 micron for flushing my new coco coir. I worked with these for years at a chemical company 1 micron to 150 micron bags from loading tank wagons to pumping product to the druming station to catch debree or big particals
