BF is going to be responsible for my overcrowding issues! I stop by and I see those delicious Afghanis and I say to myself, I could fit a couple more plants... what's one more tent... another light won't cost too much for power... a couple more fans... But then I need more seeds if use my afghanis... It's a vicious cycle. Soon my 2 bedroom house will be a one room studio with a couple grow rooms attached! Keep up the good work man!
Woah that lights give out some serious, serious light. Haha! I can't believe it bleached leaves low down on the plant like that, that's insane. I have a feeling they're going to create some amazing results when it comes to flowering time BF. Can't wait to see this get flipped !
Im looking at Timber plug and play 600w 3000k 90cri
BF, do you have a journal on how you built your cob setup
That sounds like a great setup! There is so much conflicting Info. Buck recommends a mix for better efficiency but that post has some big plants under the 90cri. I wonder what timber suggests for best flowering?
Hey tio! No i dont unfortunately but there are a lot of great resources on the webs and i will try to answer any questions you have. I do want to suggest you look at the samsung led boards over cobs. They are less heat then cob, less expensive to build up, and looks easier to put together. They offer excellent coverage. This is just what im reading about them. I hope to build some soon. I think id stick to 4 panels in a 4x4 tent

Ill find out what they say about it.
I'm confused about this led board. Does this replace the power supply or does it actually produce light? I googled it but I'm not sure.
Penny, i have the Timber Plug and play Cree 300 watt 6 chip and i love it. I have already fried two seedlings with my light well over 20" so be warned, they are mucho powerful. The Dimmer is a very nice feature.
Heya Shiggs and gang, hope your weekend has been great. Got the new lights up in the tent and we're liking them so far, bright as all get out for sure. Lighter than the low cost LED lights we had been running and we have high hopes these will do the trick for us. It was a kit from HLG mostly because we don't know how to figure out what parts we needed. Great service from them as well. Want to order more but they are out of stock at the moment anyway.
Hope you don't mind us dropping a few pics Shiggs, just would like your input on the kit? Things look correctly matched?
Blessed Buds our friend and be well
That setup with driver is exactly what I am making except 3 boards. Same total power. 2 setups per 4x4. Looking good! My next lights I'm hopefully finishing Monday have the same color heatsinks. Just individual. Here is a light that may or may not be headed to stage.
I got 4 boards in a 4x4 and you need to put sun screen on the plants.
Ima be running 12 boards ... Kinda skeery ...
I keep lowering my estimate for driver power. From what I hear from you guys, 650 watts is going be pretty bright in a 4x4.
Bright enough to be dimmed 20% and still require Co2. Honestly I am so impressed by CMH lights but when in a room with Samsung boards the CMH looks like it is a T5. No exaggeration. Here the CMH is lighting the foreground scrog 2 weeks ago and the beast is over the scrog in back. I swear the CMH is on lmao! And look no light is directly over the pineapple fields on the right. That is all from the beast light. The pineapple fields is getting more light from the beast to the side than the foreground scrog is getting from the CMH directly over it. Now imagine the effect of four overlapping lights!
