Best LED on a budget

Are you in Canada?

Amazon Canada has the Maxsisun PB4000 Pro for $200 right now, it's a 400w quantum board with Samsung diodes and Meanwell driver. You'd need 4 so $800. 50 cents a watt is pretty much as cheap as it gets.

If you shop around and wait, there's randomly big sales on Amazon, you can get lights for relatively cheap.

The upfront cost with LEDs will always cost more, but between the increased yields, less running cost, and less maintenance (no bulb replacement), the light pays itself off pretty quickly vs a comparable HID. Migro made a video and has done the math based off of cost vs usable photons, and led fixtures generally pay themselves off in 2 to 3 years off that metric alone.
That sounds ALOT better. And, I'm in Michigan.
Thank you

Sidenote....I do have a small LED to start my next batch of seeds. It's just a cheap KingLED kp1000. I got it for Xmas and wanted to try it out. I have it about 12-14 inches from the seedlings and it seems to be burning them? Is that possible? LED is new to me! Thanks

It's definitely possible, I can't find par maps for the kp1000 specifically, but it's claiming to have a higher ppfd at 6" then other 100w lights, and with those other 100w lights the reccomended hanging height is 18" to 24".

You could hang leds much closer if they have a dimmer and you can control exactly how much light they're getting, but with a full 100w on you'll have to adjust intensity by height like HIDs.

Thank you. Yes, it's very bright. I only have the blues turned on too. I'm going to move it up before it ends up wasting these seeds. Thanks for the help
