Yes. It's the only way I've ever used mine. (Just make sure the weed is not too dry!)
That looked easy! The buds look so fresh and clean coming out of there. And a little silicone spray will take care of that squeak in no time.
I wonder if it would work for the dry trim folks as well.
They come with 2 different blades. One for wet trimming and the other for dry.
