BeezLuiz & LiquidIntel Are At It Again: Outdoor Grow Season 3

So far, I'm using the same liquid nutrients from Emerald Harvest that I used last year. I do have MegaCrop to try out at some point though.

I'm thinking the White Widow might be ready for its first topping. Should I top it above node 5, or should I go higher to above node 6 or go even lower to node 4?

Autos Update

Not the smoothest of starts for our auto run. All six seeds germinated fine, even though Gelat.OG took an extra couple days. Once I put them into soil 4 of the seeds sprouted within a couple days. However, Amnesia was found laying on the surface of the soil tap root and all. I tried to rebury it, but it did not make it. I take full responsibility for its death. Unfortunately that was my only Amnesia auto seed - I have a few photo period Amnesia that I will likely try next season.

So... back into the rotation is Monster Bruce Banner from Monster Genetics Seeds. That seed germinated and was put into soil yesterday, so I expect to see it sprout tomorrow.

Here's what they look like so far. Disregard my description of "day 8", it really should say "day 5".

Some of the larger plants keep getting knocked over in the breeze, so I figure it's time to transplant them. Maybe it'll be my new scientific way to determine time to transplant. :hmmmm: I put White Widow and Alaskan Purple into 10 gallon fiber pots filled with FFOF soil. These will go to @Liquidintel house. He wants to control the height of them this year, so we're only putting them into 10 gallon pots instead of the usual 20 gallon pots.

This is the first time using Myckos mycorrhizal inoculant so hopefully I applied it correctly. I just sprinkled a little onto the rootball and into the hole.

I gave them each 1 gallon of water with 1.25ml of Super Thrive added. I'll probably transplant the Killer A5 Haze and the Dr Seedsman CBD today or tomorrow. I'll be putting those into 20 gallon fiber pots and those will remain here with me throughout the grow.

One more interesting item to note is that the Killer A5 Haze has a genetic mutation where each node produces 3 branches instead of 2. I believe this is called "whorled phillotaxy" (standard 2 branch nodes would be "opposite phillotaxy").

Looking wonderful Luiz - thing are really gearing up with them now  I had a whirly psychotaxi (whorled phyllotaxy) On the last Candida I grew - Lots of branches! Made for some interesting pruning sessions!

Could you post a pic of the underside of your trolleys please? And if, as I suspect to be the case, you made them yourself, would you consider popping up a guide on how you did it sometime?

oh, and
sprinkled a little onto the rootball and into the hole.

Hopefully the Haze doesn’t grow out of the whorled phyllotaxi
Every node has it so far.

I was wondering how that might affect trimming at harvest time. :hmmmm:

I did indeed make them myself. :) I knew I wouldn't have @Liquidintel around to help me move the plants around this season so I needed something for the 20 gallon pots. I wasn't sure what to call them, so if you don't mind I will refer to them as plant trolleys :thanks: I did take a few pics while building so I guess a tutorial would be in order. Until then, here's a quick pic of the underside.

I like the fact that you can just hitch those trolleys to the back of the car and drive them over to Liquid's house :).
You know, now I think I have to go hook one up to the back of the truck and take a picture of it. :p Since he's only doing 10 gallon pots, he doesn't get one. Here's what they look like with holding a 20 gallon pot.

And while I'm at it, I might as well post a few pics of KA5H and Dr.S while I transplanted today.
