Beccabuds Photon Follies: An Ongoing Adventure In Tiny Closet Gardening

Yea, they're very close, @Phytoplankton. They are going to be some tasty buds if the smell in there is any indicator. You would never know both plants are supposedly same genes. They look alike but each has it's own schedule. #1, which sprouted first, is at least a week, maybe two, behind #2. #1 stigmas are almost all still white and #2 have almost all turned red already.
Sure looks wonderful! That’s gonna be some sweet smoke! Each plant is almost always a little different. I’ve got one now that was less than an inch high at 3 weeks, now at almost 6 weeks it’s putting out a set of leaves a day!

Watching close now, #2 Do Si Dos is all but done. Bracts are visibly swelling up. Just a little more crispy and walla!

A single bract missing its stigmas. Still some small, immature trichomes:

They aren't done yet! They aren't done yet!

Same as above but with a point source (a LED flashlight) off to the left:

Lookin AWESOME though!

:woohoo:

Near in deed! It's been 84 days or 12 weeks since germination and #2 is ready to chop (#1 will get a few more days). I'm all set up and just took a few final photos before I start whittling.

Looks like the tally from #2 is going to be something over 4 ounces, maybe 5. Gave #1 a two gallon flush of purified water and got 5/8 gallon of runoff. A few more days and she'll be ready, too. These photos are of Do Si Dos #1.

Did a first trichome check on #1 yesterday but nodded out before I could post it. Still some time yet. This one is ripening slowly & the buds are still getting bigger.

Finished trimming all the buds off the branches of the #2 Do Si Do and got a nice yield of 5.6oz, or just over 2.1oz/Sq.Ft. It currently doesn't have great bag appeal, visually or olfactorily. If the flavor and smell don't improve with cure maybe I'll try making some gummies. I took it out of the tub to dry a bit more- at 68% humidity it's got a little way to go.

Do Si Do #1, meanwhile, is still chugging along, slowly maturing so I gave it a gallon of just Aqua...

Still a lot of clear trichs.

Trichomes and pistils and stigmas, oh my! I might just get a half pound off this plant. She got another reprieve from the scissors for today. With #2 the total weight is definitely going to set a new record for the closet.

Harvest is complete and the very impressive mass of buds are hanging to dry for 5-7 days. Here are the final photos. Can't wait for a taste! Looks like the yield is going to be close to a half pound.

Thanks, Phyto! There were a few potholes in the road getting here. Not the frostiest weed I've ever grown but there's a lot of it!

Should have added earlier- the tub full of curing #2 DoSiDo dropped to 62% RH last night, so it's closed up & long term curing has officially begun for it. Should be cured around October, just in time to make some nice xmas gifts and goodies!
