Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

That sounds like an amazing strain!!
It's really hard not to pop the other 2 Seeds that I have lol. I have to remember that we'll hopefully be getting the Purple Punch soon so maybe she'll help me to forget about how much I like the Orange Sherbert....maybe

Mmmh it's a tough life. You're gonna have to get another lil' tent for a OS mother! :nomo::laugh:

Veg Tent Update....

The 4 of these look good. There is one small problem though....the thrips! There's only one that I've noticed but there's never just one. It's in the pic if you look closely at Strawberry Lemonade 2. It just goes to show how tough these things really are. I can treat them now that they're a bit bigger. They're starting to leave the POG alone but will move over to these if I don't get control of them now. That one little thrip has had a little nibble on the SL's leaves already which I noticed in the pics yesterday but couldn't see any on the plants. If it wasn't for the camera I'd probably never notice them at all. Other than that everything else seems to be pretty cool....

Both the other 2 are drinking on the heavy side. The GZ is on 20g and the OS is on 22g in 10 litres of water. They all look great so I'm not sure what's up.
Then I wouldn't worry about it like Shed said. Some plants as you know are heavy feeders. Sounds like you have a bunch of pigs over there so just keep stuffing their roots. I have two strains on the go now and the one requires a lower dose than the other. It's just gonna cost you more to keep them happy that's all :)

Do you have any of the blue sticky traps?I was trying to find organic insecticides. Garlic is supposed to kill them. Sulfur kills them.

There ya go, just sulfur bomb your tent. Case closed! Lol.

Bug forum says that they need to return to the soil to complete their lifecycle. Diatomaceous earth?
It also says to remove affected leaves as they also spend part of their lives inside of the leaves. I realize you can't do that with such small plants.

I've just fed the OS but have dropped her dose down to 20g in 10ltrs. Pigs they are Mr S! The OS has some great bud production for the amount of wattage I'm using and the GZ has so many budsites all over her. I'll show you what they look like in a moment
Wish I could send you some of my castille soap. My bottle will last until the end of days at my dilution. If you have non-detergent dish soap you can try that as well.

Damn thrips taking advantage of the young'ns!
I checked out the Castille soap and it's so expensive over here. It came down to what I could have done with more and I decided that the HPS was the most beneficial thing. My gardening fund has been severely reduced in recent months but we're still maintaining 2 flowering tents and a veg tent. Don't worry Shed! They won't get the kiddies!

I remember when I first joined there was a question about how to remove sulphur from buds. Apparently it's a bad idea to go anywhere near flowering plants with sulphur. The DE we've spoken about before if I remember back when I had the issue with the fungus gnats. I just noticed Shed said that you have to repeat the process which sounds a bit annoying. Spraying seems to be keeping them at bay but totally eradicating them feels impossible at the moment. With the perpetual growing there's always the next pot of soil ready for them to move in to. It may take a combination of treatments to finish them for good. For now we'll continue the spraying and see how it goes with earlier treatment
I remember reading that DE on top of the soil will break the lifecycle. I just find DE is a pain in the ass because it only works on dry soil :(. Water, wait for the top to dry, apply DE, water, wait for the top to dry, apply DE...
that does sound like an irritating addition step. I imagine I'll use a lot of it as there's are 3 10 gallon pots to cover.

Except for the ones coming in from outside, the only way to eradicate them with spray is to spray the leaves every other day for 3 weeks, which I think is their lifecyle.

DE goes a long way. You just need a very fine layer across the top, but it only works bone dry. Wear a dust mask as it's bad for the lungs (which is why we don't use it in flower).

Another thought if you have DE. You can mix it with water and spray the undersides of the leaves with it. It will stick and work for days once it dries. I forgot about that. Don't get too much on the top of the leaves as it will block photosynthesis at some point!

Flowering Day 25....

Here's the big girl. I received a text from the Royal Mail this morning saying that the HPS will be delivered between 10am and 11am on Saturday the 21 of June. I bet it doesn't! lol....

All good in the grow my end though. great work Prof, you will beat the thrips mate.
